Secluded, classic a frame with it's own beach, kayaks, SUPs, floating dock
Spend the perfect summer vacation this summer at this classic A-frame that sits just steps away from its own private beach on Lake Montauk. Your group will love chilling out in the quiet, old Montauk way of life--fish, clam and read all day. Besides your own beach where you can drink coffee in the morning in absolute privacy, we have a Sunfish sailboat, a dinghy with an outboard motor, 4 SUP's, a floating swim platform out in the water and 3 kayaks to explore the Lake. Take the dinghy to dinner at Crow's Nest and avoid the crowds in the parking lot. Or take the kayaks to dinner across the lake at Salivar’s. At sunset, you'll feel like you are floating on the water that surrounds the bright, open living area. At night, cook a huge dinner and sit by the large stone fireplace. Or have a bonfire on the beach fire pit! Or eat outside either on the deck or in the yard at our 16 person outdoor dining table by the water with overhead lights. The master bedroom has a queen bed, private bath and entrance from the deck with ample closet space. The two back bedrooms each with queen beds have beautiful light and a chic, simple decor. The children's bedroom has a bunkbed. The kitchen features all new appliances: Viking stove, fridge, Miehle dishwasher and a breakfast bar. Spend days reading on the secluded beach or take a nap on the floating swimming platform. Or just enjoy the sounds of lapping waves from the hammock on the deck that always catches a westerly breeze coming off the lake--no bugs! Washer and dryer, outdoor shower, and Le Creuset cookware as well.
It's perfect for families--you'll have plenty to do with a large lawn for football games or tetherball. Take the paddle boards and kayaks across the lake for lunch at Gosman's or explore the sealife along the shore. The beach's shallow water is great for children. For dinner just walk down the beach at sunset to Rick's Crabby Cowboy or the Dave's Grill. Charter a boat with Captain Jeff Nichols at the marina down the beach and catch Striped Bass which you can eat all week long. Gin Beach, Montauk's prettiest beach is just down the road and Ditch Plains, the best surfing beach is just 2.5 miles away. Your private beach is set up with umbrellas, beach loungers and side tables. Build a fire in the beach fire pit and cook hotdogs and s'mores as the sun goes down. Go to sleep with the sound of the water lapping at the shore. It's really dream-like.

About brandon holley
We are a family of three. Mom is a long-time fashion editor and Dad is a full-time musician. We have a six-year-old son. We live in Brooklyn and Montauk.
brandon holley purchased this House in 2013
Why brandon holley chose Montauk
We've been spending summers in Montauk for 17 years when we found this magical place and decided we had to have it. The house, situated steps from the water, is filled with light and sparkling reflections of water on the walls. Sunsets are amazing. The constant gentle breeze means no mosquitoes. You'll feel like you are floating on the water here.
What makes this House unique
Very private. You enter down a long driveway and into an open cleared yard with the water right there. Your family will be quite content to spend day after day here, with fishing, swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding and hammocks in the shade. At night you fall asleep to the waves lapping the beach.

Great location and view
Place was perfect for us. Plenty of room and great view
Perfect home and host
Very comfortable open home. Private retreat. Brandon was so helpful, every step of the way.
Exactly as advertised!
We were very pleased with our stay at this beach house. The owner was responsive to any need we had. The young ones (children 8 and 11) loved all the entertainment - both inside and out. The young adults loved the beaches and entertainments. We seniors loved having a place for all the family to collect - meals around the table, etc. The description was exactly what was there. Thanks, Brandon.
Beautiful Montauk Lakefront Home
I stayed at Brandon's home at the end of September and we loved it so much we didn't want to leave! This is a great home for a group escape in Montauk since it comfortably sleeps 8 and the living room and outdoor space is really comfortable and inviting. Its definitely a place where you can really disconnect and watch the stunning sunsets on Lake Montauk or make a meal to eat outside. I loved the decor in the house. Very tasteful and really cool. Plus, being right on Lake Montauk with access the paddle-boards and kayaks was so fun! We had a lot of fun paddle-boarding and bbqing during the day and making bonfires on the beach at night.
We had some small hiccups (some trouble with our key to the house, internet was unreliable) but Brandon was super helpful and quick to address and even brought us some very, very fresh Montauk oysters to make up for it. Such an amazing treat. Those oysters were really unforgettable and we can't wait to go back!
Thank you for being such great guests! I do hope that you can come back. The internet is fixed—the modem had blown. All systems go....we’d love to see you next year!
Perfect home for a family. Very private, beautiful, and cozy. The lake is amazing. Great that there
Pure montauk without the bling and bother of a busy life. A great escape truly at The End.
On Lake Montauk! As if you were on an island. Fishing marina, private airport and great seafood a short walk along the shore.
Clean, spacious and perfectly suited to the beachfront location where the clams of the day transform the pasta to simple pleasures never to be duplicated at home.
Our own watercraft to play with and a swim platform make the safe tidal waters fun to be in.
We will be going back to the fond memories and making new ones at this authentic Montauk house.
Montauk is a magical mix of an old fishing village and one of the most popular vacation destinations in the world with great restaurants, shopping and entertainment. You can charter a deep sea fishing boat that's docked within walking distance from the house and catch huge striped bass, go hiking, sailing, surfing, eat amazing food from Manhattan's best chefs who've opened restaurants here in the past few years or discover pristine beaches with no one around. Make Montauk what you want: private and isolated with lots of empty beaches: catch your own dinner and grill it at home or go out and eat, drink and dance all night. It's great for families with lots of swimming (surf beaches or gentle beaches, and lakes with sailing and paddle boarding). There's mini golf, a famous golf course, tennis, horseback riding, mountain biking on incredible trails, fishing--everything you could want for an amazing family vacation.
My personal favorites are Rick's Crabby Cowboy which is a short walk down the beach for an overstuffed lobster roll. Gin Beach is the prettiest beach in Montauk and is just a quarter mile down the road. Kayak across Lake Montauk to Gosman's in just a few minutes and eat dinner there. Hike the many trails that start just across the road or go to Ditch and eat at Ditch Witch and surf and boogie board. For a romantic dinner go to the Crow's Nest for a fantastic dinner at sunset--the ambitious can kayak there from the house. Book a fishing trip with Captain Jimmy George who docks at Rick's Crabby Cowboy early in your trip and catch enough striped bass to feed your entire group for one week. A good day trip is to take the bikes to Shelter Island and have lunch.
