Two Bedroom, One Bath Overlooking The Gulf Of Mexico

Enjoy the Suwannee River where it meets the Gulf of Mexico. This area is an

estuarial spawning ground for shrimp, fish and crabs which results in it being a fishing and a birding paradise. Redfish, trout, sheepshead and drum are abundant along the coastline and grouper, cobia, and other larger fish are available in the Gulf.

Migratory birds are always on the move in this western Florida flyway.

The spring water fed Suwannee River commences at the Okefenokee Swamp in south Georgia and flows 160 miles to the Gulf of Mexico.

Fantastic boating up the Suwannee River - alligators & turtles along the shore - one bald eagle soaring above us as we cruised several miles along the river.

was diisappointed

  • 3 of 5

The house was very clean, it was a quit neighborhood, but we expected a 3 bedroom house as it is advertised, however is only a two bedroom, the beds was three twin beds and one double bed, which was ok, but again disappointed that the third bedroom was not there.

2 months in paradise

If you need to be entertained constantly this place is not for you.

If you want a real change of pace in a setting that is reminiscent of the Florida I first visited 65 years ago only with modern conveniences, this is it.

The house is clean and well maintained, everything you need is there.

The boat house is great. It has a lift to keep your boat from sitting in the water all the time. Also with the lift you don’t have to worry about the tides.

The area is so picturesque and the sunsets are the best.

The owner is a great guy and very responsive if a problem should arise.

This was our second visit to this property and enjoyed it immensely.

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We loved the Suwannee house everything was clean and arranged. The boat house with lift was very convenient and the marina was very close for bait and ice and fuel.the distance to the river and gulf was was. Very short and easy to navigate. We didn't get to meet Fred the owner's but everything was just as he described it. Thanks Fred for a very nice vacation property. We hope to return in the future. John S. Ocala Fl.
