While here explore our Historic Alphabet District or jump on the streetcar for a few blocks to Portland’s trend setting Pearl District. If you’d like to see the city on two wheels Portland is very “bicycle friendly” offering continuous bike lanes including a wonderful ride around the Willamette Riverfront. If you’re interested in local hiking, Portland hosts a 5,000 acre old-growth canopy of fir trees called Forest Park. Consider a visit to our Japanese Gardens, Chinese Gardens, Rose Gardens at Washington Park or The Portland Zoo and Arboretum all just minutes away. If you want to catch a Timbers soccer game, we are also within walking distance to Providence Park. With easy access to major highways plan a day trip to our local wine country, Mt Hood, Oregon Coast or the Columbia River Gorge.

NOTE: This location is accessible from Portland’s train station or airport via MAX line and street trolley. *** We are in a permitted parking neighborhood. Parking in front of the house is restricted to 4-hour intervals unless you have a permit. If you choose to have a car during your stay, we will supply you with ONE one-day permit for every 3 days you are here. Unrestricted, free parking is 2 blocks away from the house.***

I moved here 17 years ago following a visit where I fell in love with Portland's 'not so big' size and European feel. My business partner is native to the area and shares my feelings about the city's energy and diversity.

Why Julie Hoffman chose Willamette Heights

Not unlike as it was in the early 1900's showing its prosperity, our NW neighborhood has seen a revival spurred on by gentrification. As such, we have renovated this Historic Beauty over the past 15 years trying to keep the original circa 1900 feel.

In the backyard, the setting is tranquil with a great soft-scaped patio space.

What makes this apartment unique

One of the best benefits of this property is that it's in a quiet, residential neighborhood yet just a few minutes from all of the action of NW Portland, Pearl District and Downtown!

If you like to walk and explore, this is such a lovely neighborhood in which to do that. No car is necessary for your stay here.

I love the history of the building and how the turn-of-the-century character has been preserved in its details.

The front porch is stately by appearance and provides a wonderful place to relax, enjoy a beverage, and watch passersby.

Stroll NW 23rd Ave and enjoy the myriad restaurants, cafes, local breweries, and stores that start one block away. Downtown and the Pearl District can be reached by the streetcar or by foot.

During the months of March through December on Saturday mornings, you can go to the Portland Farmers Market where you'll find fresh organic fruits, vegetables, and homemade breads and condiments. There's music and food trucks and a lovely setting in the South Park Blocks of downtown by the PSU campus.

You can get to the ModaCenter, Portland's sports arena and largest music venue, and to the Convention Center on the east side by streetcar as well. Washington Park with the Japanese Gardens and the Rose Garden is also within walking distance.

If you have a car, you can get to the beautiful Columbia River Gorge to see Multnomah Falls and/or Vista Point or take a hike on one of the many trails located in the Gorge within 40 minutes. Or drive west to the Oregon coast in an hour and a half where you'll find even more breathtaking hikes and the dramatic splendor of the Pacific coast.

Great Place!

We really enjoyed this apartment. The interior was extremely clean and exactly as advertised. It was located in a very safe area on a quiet street with quiet neighbors in the building and was only 2 blocks to a street car stop which can get you downtown in just 10-15 minutes. We didn't have a car but could easily get around everywhere in the city on public transportation. Many restaurants, bars, and shops only blocks away. Also, we were traveling with our 3 year old and there is a large playground 3 blocks away at an Elementary school that we went to every day. We really enjoyed staying in this location in NW Portland!

Very cute, perfect location

We really enjoyed the apartment. It is the perfect size for two people. We did find it to be a little musty, so we typically left the front door open for a breeze to come in through the screen door. The apartment location is fairly central to every place we visited. We were able to walk through the Pearl District easily, and we used the transit system or took a cab anywhere further than a couple miles. We would definitely stay again!

Excellent!

The property was excellent, clean and just the right size for two. You can't beat the location as it was close to everything and transit. Parking was a bit tricky as only a pass for 2 of our 5 days. We parked several blocks away but it worked for us. Will be back for sure thanks Julie for making sure everything was working great for us!
