Historic townhome, in a quiet tree-lined neighborhood, 2 blocks from the heart of the action!
Comfortable 2 bedrooms, on the 1st floor of a classic DC rowhouse. Located in one of the most upscale sections of the city - the west side of DuPont Circle, in Kalorama - the safest neighborhood in DC.
The home is exceptionally large - 1000 square feet of indoor living space. Featuring high ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and period finishes. Enhancing those quarters is a private screened-in back porch. Nestled in the trees, it's the perfect place to relax after a day of business or sightseeing.
The bedrooms are nicely sized and comfortably appointed. The mattresses topped with freshly laundered linens, cleaned just prior to your arrival. A sofa sleeper in the living room expands the sleeping quarters.
The kitchen is fully equipped, and if you're into organics, included is a juicer and a Vitamix. Please feel free to use our spices for your cooking needs; groceries can be purchased just down the way at the corner market.
You are a short walk to hundreds of cafes and restaurants in DuPont and Georgetown, and within walking distance to the Capitol, monuments, museums, and the zoo. The DuPont Metro Station is just a few blocks away, and taxi’s and Uber cars are abundant in the area.
If you are bringing a vehicle, street parking permits can be added to your quote.

Here's what Pam had to say about her stay:
Wonderful property in a fabulous location. My husband and two young adult children used this property on a recent visit to DC. The description of the property including photos was perfectly accurate. The apartment is lovely with interesting and comfortable furnishings and was spotless on our arrival. I was thrilled to find a French coffee press in the kitchen which makes delicious coffee! How wonderful it was to have a cup of coffee on the screened back porch in such a quiet setting. The area is great with easy access to restaurants, shopping and Metro. We enjoyed just walking the area to view the surrounding architecture and Embassies. The owner was thorough, helpful and well-organized on all materials involving the property. We would highly recommend this property for any visit to DC and would hope to stay there again ourselves.
My husband and I prefer quiet homes in residential neighborhoods whenever we travel, and offer our home to like-minded people when we're away.

My family and I visited Washington DC for a week. During our stay in the city, Mrs. Squitiro’s apartment was perfect. The apartment is located at a nice and quiet historic district full nice houses and embassies of different countries. The Dupont Circle Metro station is about 10 minutes walking from the apartment. Several restaurants and pharmacies are within a walking distance.
On the other hand, the apartment was perfect. Beds and pillows were comfortable. The internet and the TV were very helpful when having a rest or while working. The kitchen was perfectly well equipped and very clean.
Overall, I think the apartment is a great option for those who want to travel to DC and stay at a comfortable place.
In my opinion, the most important thing was that Mrs. Squitiro was very attentive to any questions I could have.
If I every return to DC, I would not hesitate to stay her place again.
We stayed in Gloria’s old-world townhome when the cherry trees were just starting to bloom. It’s in a quiet residential neighborhood, yet it’s just a few blocks to many upscale restaurants, café’s, pubs and even a subway stop. Because it’s in the middle of the embassy and mansion district, we felt safe walking home, even after dark.
The host has the flat filled with beautiful antiques. Not frou-frou items, just comfortable pieces that are pleasing to the eye. I don’t know where she found a salmon-colored chesterfield sofa!
Everything was well maintained and the beds were comfortable. I took the plush one, and my sister with her bad back took the firm one. The linens and comforters smelled fresh and clean.
After twelve-hour days of visiting galleries and monuments it was a relief to come back to quiet and calm.
If we visit the Capitol again this is the place we’ll stay.
Just as the owner states, this rental is comfortable and quiet! After long days of exploring Washington DC and surrounding areas, it was such a comfort to have a relaxing place to come back to. We never had to worry about parking. The location of the property was amazing. We felt safe, enjoyed the neighborhood restaurants, and the easy access to the Metro.
This was a great place to stay. Nice and just like home. Easy to access and close to the metro, and lots of places to eat. Very relaxing and quite.
We loved the location of this comfortable charming unit. We appreciate the owner providing feather free bedding for us.
This is our first family vacation to the US. Gloria was extremely helpful. We booked the house 6 month prior our visit. We had all the information and reminders from Gloria brfore our arrival.
The house is comfortable and in a great neighborhood. Easy to get to the subway and easy parking in the evening. Certainly a big part of our pleasant stay in the DC.
The good news is the unit was clean, beds were comfortable. However, livingroom furniture is old, leather cracked, and worn out--not comfortable seating. Stark feeling as there are no area rugs. Kitchen was poorly equipped. No fry pans other than cast iron, 3 old dull knives for prep, no dinner plates - only dessert plates. The owner said the dessert plates are "vintage dinner plates" and gave us a website where we could order dinner plates if we wanted them. Spatula was so old the wood handle fell off. Coffee percolator was too small - two of us had to make coffee twice for two cups each. We have stayed in VRBOs for years - all with exceptional quality. This was our first disappointing experience.
