Be one of the first to enjoy this newly remodeled oceanfront condo located on Topsail Island. This predominantly residential island condo retreat overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and has been gutted and updated with all new cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, tile etc. In fact, everything in it will be new and waiting to be enjoyed for the first time by a couple and/or small family (sleeps 2-4). Located on the third floor of building 3 (the only building to have an elevator), will guarantee you a captivating view and ensures easy move-in, move-out. Spend your days enjoying the unspoiled beaches, swimming in the over-sized beach-side pool or play tennis on the adjoining courts but if that doesn't interest you, you could always relax on the deck with a glass of wine and a good book; the options are endless! With sightseeing, fishing and good restaurants just a short distance away, you'll have everything needed to make this a memorable vacation, guaranteed!
A recently retired native of England, I live in Rochester, New York year round but have been visiting the Topsail/Surf City area for years and have made many lifelong friends here. Over the years, I could always be quoted as saying that NC has the best beaches in the world and I still believe that to this day; hence my purchase
Jennifer McCall purchased this condo in 2013
Being an absentee owner, a condo made more sense than a single family dwelling and with the new siding and roofs, I felt that Topsail Dunes would be a good investment. I also surveyed people on the beach most of whom had been renting at the Dunes for years and the majority wouldn't consider going anywhere else; that was affirming.
The view from a third floor condo on the ocean is spectacular and just sitting on the deck can be spiritual and calming. The pool is large enough to swim laps which is important to me and having it right there on the beach as an option, is a definite plus.
This condo is amazing! Outside does no justice, but the inside of this condo was fabulous, as was the view! The owner was also very nice and helpful. Very involved in booking and our stay to make sure we had the best time. Overall, great experience!
Flew into Raleigh drove 2 and half hours arrived after sunset, no problem even in the dark finding and getting into the condo. Very cozy condo with everything you need. The view is awesome and the beach is beautiful. No high rises, tons of sand, and the only sounds you hear are that of the ocean waves. Definitely recommend for couples who are looking for a relaxing getaway....Ate at 790 inlet, and drove to Surf City to eat at Daddy Macs, both are good options....Jennifer was easy to work with and I hope we make it back....
Condo was immaculate, great views of sunrises and moonrises.
Quiet, uncrowded beach this time of year.
When we first got there, we were a little on edge due to the rough exterior of the building but we were blown away on how beautiful and clean the room was! Just goes to show you, don't judge a book by its cover! As for the owner, Jen, she was just so pleasant and lovely!
Location wise, We were right on the beach and this time of year, no crowds! And I will say, this is the cleanest beach I've ever seen! We will visit again!
As for places to go, eat etc, it may seem like your choices are limited but just dive in and explore! The inlet 790 grill was AWESOME! The food was so fresh! Beach bunny ice cream was great, as they always have a movie playing and this would be great for kids!
Worth every single penny and you will not regret staying here! Truly a diamond in the rough!
Beautifully updated condo, right on the ocean. It is the 3rd floor, 4th step back from the front of the complex. Great views! Jeni was super nice and checked in on us and was willing to help with anything we needed.
Just a couple thoughts:
The bed could use some new/additional pillows. We had brought one luckily, because the other 2 were really flat.
The fridge is smaller than a regular one - it worked out ok for 2 people, but still a little crunched.
One larger frying pan would be helpful.
Beautiful property and nice view. Very nice and open clean beach. Any questions I asked Jenison she responded right away she's an awesome owner no problems with property at all! Great place to stay highly recommend to anyone.
Topsail Island is a place where families go to 'reconnect'. There's little to do except enjoy the beach, the surf and the fishing, so no interruptions. In the evening, there are many restaurants close by to choose from and most are family-friendly although barbecuing at home is always a great option. If you like to shop, Wilmington is a 40 minute drive and has a smorgasbord of options from antiquing to big box and specialty shops. Jacksonville, the home of Camp LeJeune Marine Corps., is also close by and is trying to compete with Wilmington for vacationers' attention. Wilmington’s history lives on every blade of grass on Civil War battlefields and every grain of sand on its beaches. It is the permanent home of the battleship U.S.S. North Carolina which served in every major offensive in the Pacific in WW II.
Quote from 'Echoes of Topsail' by David Stallman: “Topsail Island is a metaphor for life. It is ever changing and yet stays the same....If we pay attention, we can learn from Topsail how to enjoy life”.
