Relax and enjoy your next vacation at Lake Nantahala. Our cozy cabin features two master style suites well stocked with all the luxury of home. The cabin is brand new and sleeps six comfortably. The rustic style is complemented with log furniture and locally made quilts (from In Nonnie’s Attic, Andrews). The kitchen has brand new appliances and a crock pot– meals can be simple or elaborate. The washer and dryer allow you to go home with clean clothes. The living area and bed rooms have 42” flat screen TV that features HBO. DVD players are available as well. The cabin is a peaceful place to relax from your busy life. Enjoy your coffee or late night hot chocolate rocking on one of the porches. The cabin is located a stone’s throw from the lake’s public boat ramp. Bring your own water craft or rent one from a local business. Pack a lunch and spend the day on the pristine blue water of Lake Nantahala. The level lot and circular drive allows plenty of space to park and maneuver your water craft. Vacation in the Smoky Mountains and create memories that will last a life time.

Tony and Judey Striz
Tony and Judey Striz purchased this Cabin in 2013
Why Tony and Judey Striz chose Topton
We fell in love with Lake Nantahala over 30 years ago on our honeymoon. We stayed in a cabin not far from this lot. We would bring our boat, pack a lunch and spend the day on the lake. The boys would swim and fish the day away. We have attended pancake breakfast, 4th of July picnics including the watermelon rolling contest the boys won one year, and the grand opening of the Fun Factory. We have met friends to climbed Clingmans Dome, rafted the white waters and hunted for gems. We have many special memories from this area. We wanted to create a place for others to create their special memories as well.
What makes this Cabin unique
We built the cabin in 2013. The simple layout was perfect for a single family or a few friends wanting to spend time in the mountains. The flat lot and circular drive allows plenty of space to maneuver your boat or other water craft items. If you do not have a boat- one can be rented locally. We have tried to include everything to make your stay special. We would enjoy hearing from you with any suggestions you have about how to improve our place.

A home away from home!
Breathtaking scenery, lush outdoors, and even a bit of wildlife! The outside was as beautiful as the inside, extremely comfortable and would love to go again in the future!
We appreciate you and your family spending your vacation with us this year. We welcome you back at any time. Thanks you! Judey and Tony

Amazing Property and Owner
My husband and I are retired and wanted to travel to the Smokies to see the fall colors. We choose this cabin because it was in a quiet area. This place has so many of the amenities that we wanted. We absolutely loved this cabin. We had deer in our front yard.
Very large porches front and back
Full stove with oven
Fireplace (this was great on the cool days in October)
Everything you need to use the above appliances
Lake is nearby (a fishing boat is in the garage, if you have a hitch to move it)
Cons: Far away from most tourist sites
Groceries are a good 30 - 40 minute drive (be prepared)
Activiites we did: Hiking, white water rafting at NOC (less than a 30 minute drive), we road the GSMR (Great Smokey Mountain Railroad) train, drove the Skyway and just enjoyed the fall colors.
Judy was very helpful with any questions. Everything went very smoothly from directions to the cabin to getting into the cabin. I recommend that you bring in your supplies through the back door to avoid going up and down the front stairs. We were extremely happy with our rental of this property.
We are glad you had a wonderful time at the cabin. The boat is not available for renters but renters are able to bring their own boat or rent from local businesses. Thanks Judey & Tony
Good value rental.
We really enjoyed the quietness and location of the cabin. The surrounding area is very private with lake access close by. The nearby marina was an added plus and the restaurant food was excellent. We spent time in Bryson City and took the train ride and went to Cherokee for the museum and the casino. All in all, a great two weeks.
Great vacation away from it all!
Beautiful and peaceful cabin in the mountain.
