About Tammy Kreger

I have been in the vacation rental business since April of 2012 and have two other vacation rental homes. My most popular is Nature's Paradise on Hood Canal VRBO property #422166, (please read my reviews). It has been wonderful sharing my properties with guests from all over the world. My guests have taken wonderful care of my homes.

I have been very fortunate to travel to every continent, 62 different countries, and 50 cruises so far. My favorite trip was traveling to Antartica. I think that I understand what guests appreciate when traveling. It is very hard to pack much on the airplane with luggage restrictions. The house is well equipped with things that will make your vacation more memorable and enjoyable.

Tammy Kreger purchased this house in 2013

Why Tammy Kreger chose Hood Canal

The Seal Rock home has easy access to the beach. The main floor bedroom and bathroom is wheelchair accessible. The home is very comfortable for 16 people to come together and enjoy each others company and the amazing property. It surprises and delights me how much people enjoy my homes.

What makes this house unique

You can enjoy oyster picking, crabbing (seasonal), hiking, beachcombing, etc. There is so much to do. At the house we supply crab pots, crab bait, oyster knives, shovels, rakes, buckets for clam digging, rubber boots in many sizes, boats, life preservers, and much more.

Great staying experience at the beautiful house

  • 5 of 5

The house has wonderful views, easy access to waterfront. You can find all necessary tools to let you having a great experience to catch fish, crab, and clams, oyster. The living room and dining room were large and comfortable, I especially love the roomy dinning table. The kitchen is well-equipped, the bedrooms are well-maintained, clean linens and towels generously supplied. Also owner provided us the well-informed instruction and attraction information nearby. The only little drawback was a little noise from highway next to house. But if you closed all windows and doors, it was not an big issue. It was a pleasure to stay at this beautiful house.

Owner's Response: We are so glad your family group of three generations were so comfortable and happy in our home. There are so many things to do for fun on or near our property. Plenty to do for all ages. It is fun to try crabbing and then cook up your catch. We provide an outside propane crab and clam cooker. It is great to cook in our well appointed kitchen and then serve your creations on our Hood Canal view custom made dining room table that seats 14 people comfortably. We will look forward to welcoming you back for your next stay. Thank you, Tammy

Perfect Summer Getaway!

  • 4 of 5

Great place! Amazing views of water, Eagles, Otters, Seals! We had a group of 8 and needed nothing! We could not believe how well stocked the house is for large groups! Spent our days kayaking and exploring and evenings enjoying the deck! Only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was due to the street noise, the house backs up to Hwy. 101 and it's pretty loud. We like fresh air, so our windows were open, if we closed them and used the air conditioner it probably would have been fine. Or drank more wine! It's a great place that needs to be experienced, so don't let the noise deter you from staying here! Also, loved the welcome basket with great coffee and makings for s'mores!

Owner's Response: We are pleased that you enjoyed our home and Hood Canal area so much. We try to make out of town and local guests feel right at home with a well appointed and well stocked house. One year ago we planted Leland Cypress between our home and Hwy 101, they grow quickly. They will be a good noise block from the noises of the Hwy. When the windows are closed our home is very well insulated and noise is not an issue. It is so fun to watch all of the wildlife from our home or a boat. We are glad that you enjoyed our welcome basket. We hope to have you back for another stay. Thank you, Tammy

Awesome place

  • 5 of 5

We stayed there for a family getaway with two families and grandparents. The house has everything you need and a perfect view of hood canal. We enjoyed harvesting oysters off the beach and used the row boat for crabbing. The bedrooms are all very spacious and each room having their own climate control allows everyone to be comfortable. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and we had no problem cooking meals we would normally do at home. The very large dining table lets everyone sit and eat together instead of the more usual arrangement at home of "kids table" and "adults table". The hot tub is nice and relaxing after a day of exploring the area, or in our case, rowing the boat against the current. :) Overall highly recommended and we would stay here again.

Owner's Response: We are so glad that your three generation group enjoyed your stay at our home. The entire home is well appointed. It is fun to pick oysters from our beach and crab from our home. We provide two crab pots, crab bait, and a boat to place the pots. There is nothing better than fresh caught crabs and oysters. We have comfortable beds, high quality bedding and pillows, lots of soft thirsty towels. You can select your own temperature in all bedrooms and bathrooms for extra comfort. The large water view dining room table seats 14 people comfortably. Let your stress fade away in our water view jetted spa. We will look forward to your next stay. Thank you, Tammy

Comfortable Accommodations for a Group of Friends or Large Family

  • 5 of 5

This property is ideal for any small group in search of a scenic location to explore the beauty of Olympic National Park or a place to relax, unwind, and take in mother nature's spectacular handiwork without ever leaving the house. The house is perfectly outfitted with not only a spacious floor plan, but also separate temperature controls for each bedroom. Everyone can be comfortable in their own rooms which is a big deal when accommodating people who are hot-natured and others who are cold-natured. We had a group of seven with varying temperature preferences, and it was a nice luxury. The house itself is a dream. With five bedrooms, people can spread out and sleep comfortably. Each bedroom can either have a king size bed or two twins, depending on your needs - the owners will set up rooms according to requests. There is also a common area upstairs with seating and a table for enjoying a beverage, playing a game, or viewing the Hood Canal. This area accesses the balcony, as do two of the four bedrooms upstairs. The bathrooms are large, modern and have nice walk-in showers with hand held shower heads - a huge luxury when traveling since that's what we use at home. The kitchen is huge and has pretty much anything you need to prepare a gourmet meal. There's two, 12-cup coffee makers which was perfect for our coffee drinking group. The kitchen island and ample counter top space made it easy to have three people preparing a meal without being crowded. We loved the extra refrigerator in the laundry room for our beverages, and the double washer/dryer stacks were perfect. The den is also large with lots of comfortable sofas and chairs and the windows across the front give it a seamless transition to the deck in front of the house. We watched eagles every morning from the den and deck. All the attention to detail and the floor plan make it the absolute perfect house for a group - each person can have his/her own space, yet still be connected and spend quality time together without feeling cramped. And be on the lookout for Mount Rainer - we were outside one evening, looked across Hood Canal, and saw it nearly glowing in the distance. Incredible sight. If you have never been to the Pacific Northwest (this was our first visit), be prepared for daylight by 4:00 a.m. in the summer months and complete darkness no earlier than 10:00 p.m. It's a unique experience that challenges your sleeping habits. Thank you for an amazing experience.

Owner's Response: We are so happy that you enjoyed your first stay in the Pacific NW and Olympic National Forest so much. We try to make our home well appointed for our out of town guests, we want everyone to feel right at home. We are proud of our vacation rental homes and have worked very hard on the details to offer large modern, comfortable, home away from home. The huge kitchen is so fun to prepare meals in. We have our Care-taker's make up our homes per your request in the bedrooms. Our guests can choose a king sized bed or two extra long twin sized beds in each bedroom. Watching nature from the house is a lot of fun. The open floor plan is great for enjoying each other's company. We will look forward to your next stay. Thank you, Tammy
