Guestbook comments from the owner

This apartment was the perfect spot for our weekend getaway. The 3 bedrooms were great for our group of 6. We loved the fresh decor in the apartment and it had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Although we stayed too busy to take advantage of the backyard, it looked very inviting with the outdoor seating and grill area. The neighborhood was awesome with a nice coffee shop and market right across the street. The promenade was just a short walk down the hill, and walking downtown was an easy 10 minute walk. Overall, we would definitely recommend Corey's apartment and the Munjoy Hill neighborhood!

Beautiful Condo, great neighborhood, near the ocean and 5 minutes to downtown Portland

  • 3 of 5

Beautiful condo. The four of us enjoyed it very much. However, we did not expect the stairs to the 3rd level apartment to be so narrow... bordering on dangerous. All 4 of us at one point or another almost slipped. It might be helpful to communicate the narrow staircase to the top floor in your description so expectations are set. The owners also knew that it was going to be a 80-90 degree day the day we arrived, but all the windows were closed and the house was at 88 degrees inside. The house was however, very clean and well maintained. The neighborhood has a number of stores and restaurants and it's 5 minutes by car to downtown Portland. On our second night there, the owner texted me and sent a very curt response about my dogs barking and to "correct the situation." It would have been so much easier if she had called me and explained what the situation was and if we can get home and calm the dogs down. The text message was very rude.

Owner's Response: My intention was not to be rude, I apologize. I sent you a text in order to intrude on your time in Portland as little as possible and alert you that the dogs were barking so that you could take care of them. As for the heat in the apartment I assume that the air conditioners and fans quickly cooled down the apartment. In regard to the stairs, I do call this "the tree house apartment" for a reason and make it clear that it is a three story walk-up. My first and second floors are available for rent and they do not have the narrow stairway. Wish you the best, Corey

Lovely and conveniently located getaway weekend venue

  • 5 of 5

We had a perfect getaway weekend at this beautifully maintained 3rd floor apartment located steps from coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants. Location is a short drive or ~15 minute walk from downtown Portland. Owner was very welcoming and even stoked the fire pit for us in the very private backyard space with both covered and uncovered patio spaces. 3BR apartment housed 6 of us very comfortably and provided multiple cozy spaces for relaxing. Would highly recommend this property for your visit to Portland!

Delightful and Spacious Apartment on the Best side of Portland

  • 5 of 5

I had an absolutely fantastic stay with my family here in this charming 3 bedroom on Munjoy Hill. We couldn't have asked for a more gracious and welcoming host. Corey is a pleasure to work with, always quick to answer questions or offer helpful advice on how to best enjoy East Portland. The location couldn't have been better for us, with shopping, restaurants and cobblestoned old Portland just a short walk from the apartment. The apartment itself is a little slice of heaven, unique and beautiful artwork throughout the apartment welcomes and intrigues visitors. The beds were soft, clean and plentiful, allowing the whole family to stay! We will certainly be returning!

Most Relaxing Getaway in Portland!

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I had an awesome time staying at this beautiful apartment on Munjoy Hill! I cannot speak highly enough about the attention to detail and the comfort of this location. Everything was perfect in the apartment, it actually gave me some ideas about how I would like to update the décor in my own house.

This was one of my first trips to Portland but it definitely wont be my last, and I will continue to stay at this location. The owner, Corey, is so kind and accommodating and the apartment was furnished is a way that makes it an instant home away from home. Staying here we were perfectly situated between the beach and the downtown area so we could take a walk by to ocean in the morning and go out to some of the fabulous restaurants in old Port at night (with, of course, some shopping in between!)

One of my favorite things about this location was the beautiful back yard where we were able to spend our evenings relaxing and talking about our plans for the next day. Do yourself a favor and book this location for your next stay in Portland, it is one of the most relaxing getaway spots I have yet to find.

Great Stay in Portland, Maine

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I were in Portland, Maine to take in a show and have dinner. Corey, the owner of the units , was a delight to work with. We had not planned on staying for a long week end, but that is what happened.

The apartment was above and beyond what the description in the listing states. Beautiful, and original art work was abundant. The sunshine streaming through the large windows was plentiful, and the beds had very nice, high quality linens.

The following morning we walked across the street to the most wonderful coffee shop, Hilltop Coffee. We grabbed two coffees and the two of the biggest, moist muffins and explored Portland and the Eastern Prom or as the locals refer to as Munjoy HIll. The sweeping vista opening up to Casco Bay is breathtaking.

We will definitely come back in the warmer months and will keep our fingers crossed that Corey has some availability for us ,when we are ready to visit. I can not imagine, after this trip, ever booking with a hotel again. We loved it here and everything is so close by!
