Wonderful stay!

  • 4 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay at the Silver cabin! It was a family trip with three generations from ages 5-61. My grandsons loved swimming off the dock and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. I have had knee replacement surgery in the past year and had no trouble navigating the steps or the dock. My daughter and I spent every evening listening to the loons make their evening calls, reminiscent of goodnite Johnboy. Lol. The cabin was immaculately clean and the bedding and towels appeared to be new from bed bath and beyond. There are small attention to details that make you smile, throughout the cabin. We would not hesitate to return another year. The only reason we gave four stars instead of five was that the linoleum that has raised in places and needs stretching, but not any big deal. Overall a wonderful stay!

A wonderful lakeside retreat

  • 5 of 5

My husband, I and our cat are recently back from a wonderful week at the Silver cabin. This cozy, Maine-themed cabin totally lived up to its description and was everything we had hoped for and more. It is beautifully decorated, immaculate inside and out and thoughtfully and comprehensively equipped. Waking and enjoying a coffee to wonderful views overlooking the lake from the master bedroom and screened porch was delightful and the

provided boat with its very quiet trolling motor was perfect for getting close-up views of the loons and enjoying a tranquil sunset out on the lake. Toasting S'mores over the fire pit and relaxing in the huge lakeside hammock finished the day off perfectly. The nights were getting a little cold when we were there but there is a generous supply of extra blankets and throws and the

thermostatically-controlled heater soon got the cabin cozy. Water for

showers was hot and plentiful and the provided linens were clean and fresh.

The cabin is perfectly located for exploring the Moosehead Lake region and within easy reach of Acadia National Park. Adrian (the owner) was very quick to respond to booking enquiries and very accommodating of our request to bring our cat along with us and Jerrod (the on-site contact)was there to meet us on arrival and easily contactable and very helpful during our stay. The pre-arrival instructions and on-site information pack were detailed and very useful, although we were sad to discover the great-sounding Black Frog on Moosehead Lake had closed down. Thank you so much for letting us share your lovely little lakeside retreat. We certainly hope to come back for another stay and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic getaway.

Great time at Silver Cabin

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I booked a 3 day weekend to check out

a possible vacation for next year, We had a great time.

The cabin and location were perfect. Nice market 5 mins. away.

The cabin has everything you might need. Can't wait for next year

to book a longer stay. Boat and canoe was a plus.

We caught a good amount of fish and was surprised to see

largemouth in the lake. That was a huge plus.

Thank you Adrian for chance to relax and have a great stay.

Will be back for sure.

Quiet tranquil getaway.

  • 5 of 5

I cannot recommend this cabin enough. Meticulous inside and out with everything you need for a peaceful vacation. My husband and I spent a lot of time sitting by the dock watching the loons, ducks, and eagles. We enjoyed evening camp fires and dining on the large deck. The finished porch is perfect for rainy days and has a gorgeous view of the lake. My daughter went canoeing every day and loved the enormous hammock. If you're looking for a week of peace and tranquility, this is the place.
