Part and parcel of any holiday is the question of what to take home. Leather is very good value. The shoe shops stock up-to-date styles at very reasonable prices. Handbags, suitcases and jackets are a good bargain. Shoes and jackets, as well as men's suits and shirts, can be made-to-measure within a week or so. Handicrafts abound on every shopping street. A good spot to view them is the Cyprus Handicraft Centre in Lefkosia, with retail shops in every town. Small items of the distinctive, traditional pottery make good gifts as does Cyprus copperware and filigree silver. Always popular is the beautiful 'Lefkaritika' or ' Lefkara Lace'. Folkweave, needle and crochet work, woodwork and basketwork are a few more of the things visitors like to take home with them, not to mention Cyprus brandy which can be bought by the demijohn, Commandaria and even Halloumi - the Cyprus cheese.

We stayed at Villa Sunrise No.10. for 1 week. It was spotless, lovely decor, comfy beds, clean, bright and airy. The timed air/con was an excellent feature so you don't wake up with a dry throat. Pool and outside furniture all well kept and the gardens. The position of the hot tub is perfect. At 11 the sun is just over the palm tree to give it some shade. Bliss. Even the sunbeds were comfy as some of them can give me back ache. Didn't use the BBQ or cooker as I don't cook on holiday. It is a fully equiped kitchen, but the kettle, toaster and fridge were the most used.
There is a bit of stair climbing to do, so I wouldn't recommend to anyone who couldn't manage them. Another bonus is the drive, if you hire a car. Keeps it off road and under cover. A 10 min stroll will take you to the main strip where there's bars, shops, supermarkets and restaurants. Did try to walk to the beach at the Ascos Beach Hotel once, but gave up, it was too hot. The balconies give you lovely views over the bay, relaxing after a shower with a bottle of fizz. The TV kept my hubby happy, the WiFi my daughter and the Hot Tub was mine.
Had a fabulous week. Thank you for letting us use your villa.

We spent 2 weeks this August at the Paradise Villas in Coral Bay and had a super time. We were a bit aprehensive as we have always stayed in hotels, but this was a different experience. It gave us freedom to do what we wanted, eat when we wanted and go where we wanted. We hired the owners car which was a good idea, as we could go to the supermarket and do our shopping and also pop into Paphos and in the heat it was very welcome as it had air conditioning. We were a little disappointed that the SKY tv that was advertised was only a couple of channels, but at the same time we didn't go on holiday to watch TV. The pool was wonderful, especially as when we were there it was 104 degrees - phew! There was a good selection of restaurants nearby in Coral Bay, we didn't have a bad meal all the time we were there. We didn't use the hot-tub as it was too hot. But sat on the balcony many evenings with a glass (or bottle) of local wine just looking at the lovely views. The villa is in a quiet location, but there is rather a steep hill to get to the shops and restaurants. It has all the facilities that is needed i.e. cooker, washing machine, microwave and even a dish washer. On the whole it was great and we will certainly go there again.

Spent a lovely fortnight at this villa - close enough to all amenities yet very peaceful location. Car is not necessary as good local bus service to Paphos but must be able to cope with a short walk up a steep hill. We were a little concerned as this is the first time that we had booked a villa direct on the Internet but you should not be worried - the booking process and the support network once you are out there could not be faulted. The Hot Tub and the 100 Euro Shopping Vouchers were appreciated as luxurious extras.
A few words to describe the excellent holiday experience that we had at Paradise Villa, Coral Bay, Paphos, Cyprus.
The villa was everything that was described, in fact the actual experience of being there exceeded our expectations.
The villa was spotless, in a very nice quiet area, and there was a welcome pack of essentials to save us having to go shopping the minute we arrived.
The villa was indeed luxury, and having the Sky TV, meant that the wife did not miss Corrie & Emerdale.
That meant that I had more time to spend in the hot tub, with a glass or two of the local vino !
The private pool was just superb - and the wife, who had not been swimming for at least 10 years, loved it.
Good shops and some excellent restaurants within 10 mins. walk - we did not have a bad meal in our time spent there.
All in all a great holiday, - we will be back !
Being at the famous Coral Bay beach area and only 15 minutes drive from Paphos town and the famous harbour makes Paradise Sunset is the ideal location for a relaxed or fun filled beach holiday. There are several shops, banks, restaurants, snack bars, supermarkets and a medical centre just a 3 minute walk away, yet the villa is set in one of the quietest areas of Coral Bay. As evening falls the spectacular sunset from the Villas is not to be missed. There are many places of interest in and around Paphos a guide book can be found at your villa. Some of the most popular are the Troodos Mountains with its pine scented forests or closer to home the Paphos villages where time has stood still and friendly hospitality is the norm. The famous fishing harbour overlooked by the fortress where in the evening the tavernas that line the quayside come alive serving fresh fish and the traditional Cypriot 'Meze' is a 15 minute drive away. The market in Paphos' old town is worth searching out also.
Other Activities: Aphrodite Waterpark, Go Karting
