Why Jackie Booth chose Siesta Key

We looked at several condos and chose the Anchorage for its location and amenities. We can walk to the beach, restaurants, and stores. If we are don't feel like going anywhere, we can enjoy the heated pool. We have been coming to Siesta Key for about 10 years, and it was only a matter of time before we decided to make our second home here.

What makes this condo unique

Our unit is on the 9th floor, and we love the sunrise views over the bay in the mornings. During our stays, we enjoy breakfast on the balcony with the occasional 5 minute drive to the Broken Egg in the village. For dinner, we either stay in or head down to the village. Depending on the mood, we have plenty of options and choices!

Guestbook comments from the manager

Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. We had a great trip. The beach is so close and the pool is huge. Our kids just had the best time looking for shells and digging in the sand. We went to the Old Salty Dog, El Toro Bravo, and the Tampa Bay Brewing Company. We also had to hit a twins game in Fort Myers. Thank you again.

Great location

  • 3 of 5

Great location and view. Easy acces to beach and Siesta Key village . The only drawback was the sounds of traffic outside the building on Stickney Rd. It was hard to leave the patio doors open for fresh air .Condo was clean and surroundings were nice.

Amazing Holiday Week Stay - High 80s, Fine Sand Beach and Relaxing Atmosphere

  • 5 of 5

The Anchorage apartment was excellent. Very well positioned, near Publix supermarket (5min driver), private beach (5min walk), and many good restaurants. We were positively surprised by the area - very clean, beautiful and not overrun with tourists. The beach however was the highlight, crazy, fine, cool sand, shallow water - perfect for family getaways. The apartment itself is well designed with two full baths, two bedrooms and full kitchen (all pots and silverware available). Also available on the premises are a clean, well kept swimming pool and new tennis courts (3 of them). Highly recommend the stay - the only drawback may be car traffic during the day (but who stays in the apartment then, when it's time for a beach).

Excellent Place for a Month's Stay

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for the month of April. We were looking for a spacious apartment with good kitchen, great views, and easy access to beach and pool. The condo exceeded our expectations in terms of size, the spectacular views, and the excellent cooking facilities. The pool was large and it was possible to swim laps. Beach was about a ten minute walk and there was a busy street but pedestrian cross walk worked well. There is traffic noise as mentioned by previous reviewers but we liked the relative quiet of the building itself and the ninth floor location shelters one from the noise of other tenants. Laundry facilities are right next to the apartment and very easy to use. Jackie was very responsive when we had a minor problem and the people at the desk were cooperative and friendly. Only criticism would be that the couches were pretty old and uncomfortable. Beds were great and the walk in closets were an added attraction. The entire facility was relaxed, quiet, and friendly.

As for nearby restaurants, we liked Valentino's for pizza and Daiquiri Deck for lunch and dinner.

comfortable and clean

  • 5 of 5

Everything was as advertised. The apartment is spacious. The kitchen was more than adequate and the beds were comfortable. The laundry machines on our floor were just a few feet from the apartment. The condo building is well maintained, parking is ample. The agent is organized and responsive, and obtaining our keys and passes was a smooth process.

Two things to know about the property are that 1) It's on a very busy intersection, where the bridge access road intersects with the main island road. As a result, it was very noisy outside, even though we were nine stories up. If you hope to spend a lot of quiet time on the very nice balconies, you may be disappointed. 2) The internet service was often very fast, but on frequent occasions its speed dropped to zero, and there would be periods of twenty minutes or more with no service, before it returned to normal. Neither of these problems is the fault of the management, of course. But if quiet balconies and uninterrupted high speed internet are an absolute necessity, you may not be happy with this unit.

Great location!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Anchorage condo. Plenty of restaurants and shopping are close by. Most importantly, the beach is just across the street! The condo is spacious and very clean with everything you need. The beds are comfortable, that and the quiet building allowed for great sleep each night. The swimming pool was heated and very well kept.

Nothing like spending Christmas on the beach...it was a perfect 85 degrees. We would definitely stay here again!

Great views!

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here for a week-long vacation and were so glad we did! The views are beautiful and the apartment is clean, comfortable and spacious. Parking is easy to navigate and the beach is just across the street. The property manager was also very easy to work with and responded quickly to all inquiries. Kitchen comes equipped with pans, pots, dishwasher etc. so cooking at home is easy. Bike and kayak rentals are right next door and restaurants are within walking distance as well. Would recommend!
