WELCOME TO OUR TORREY SPRINGS 2 HOME

Our home is new and modern with an open layout your family and guests will love. Professionally decorated, each room is simple yet of high quality. Large windows and sliding glass doors allow you to experience every sunrise, sunset, and magnificent scenery without ever stepping outside. When you do step out, you step onto two large patios designed for your comfort, a place to relax, read or to entertain. As you dine, the balmy breezes and red rock vistas just add to your enjoyment.

For your privacy, the home has bedrooms and bathrooms on opposite ends. One bathroom features a large, rain head shower and the other a Jacuzzi tub. Each bedroom opens onto a private patio. The beds, mattresses and linens are of high quality for a good night’s sleep. For your convenience, we have a new stacking washer and dryer, if needed.

If cooking is your passion, look no further. Our vacation home kitchen is complete. All new Stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and island. You’ll find all of the cooking tools you need from good, sharp knifes to quality pots and pans. The cupboards are filled with dishes, utensils and glasses, mixing bowls and the main staples – flour, sugar, coffee, spices, plus more. Included are top of the line coffee and tea maker, waffle iron, ice cream /sorbet maker, popcorn popper, pancake griddle, blender, mixer, etc. You’ll love preparing your meals as you look out the 8’ window to the creek below and the clouds forming over the Boulder Mountains.

The east patio has a first-class, gas, BBQ with a beautiful wicker table that seats six. There are also two lounge chairs with ottomans for relaxing and watching for wild turkeys, rabbits, deer and elk that frequent the area. We enjoy our morning coffee watching the sun come up from this patio. The west patio and entrance to the house is best for the views of the red rock vistas and sunsets from the two lounge chairs and ottomans. Both patios are covered for year round enjoyment. Off the patio are gravity loungers for star gazing.

We also have all the electronics you’ll need – large screen cable TV, DVD/Blue Ray player, high speed Wi-Fi internet and wireless printer. Relax in front of the fireplace while watching the game or catch up on emails at the desk in the master bedroom.

We are located minutes away from beautiful hiking and biking trails, National Forests, Torrey Town and its restaurants, bars and shopping, and the gateway to Capitol Reef National Park. Other Utah destinations like Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, Arches and Canyonlands National Parks and Lake Powell, are within hours drive making our home a perfect base camp.

About Martin & Linda Townsend

We purchased our 1st piece of property here in Torrey, Utah in 1981 with the idea of eventually retiring here. Now that we have sold our business we decided to build this vacation home which enables us enjoy this area year round. We love the hiking, fishing, exploring, picnics in the park and the patio parties our family and friends enjoy. Torrey has always been a special place to rest and renew ourselves, a place of discovery.

Why Martin & Linda Townsend chose Utah

We bought this property because of the magnificent red rock views and the creek that runs through the back of our property under the cottonwood trees. We are within 100 yards of national forest land that provides unbelievable hiking and exploring. At 7,000 ft. with mountains above us and desert below, there is always a soft breeze that makes the temperature here very comfortable, especially for sleeping. Star watching at night is incredible, when was the last time you saw the Milky Way?

What makes this house unique

A benefit of our home is the proximity to the town, restaurants, bars and Capital Reef National Park. Other benefits are it’s one level, heating and air conditioned, multiple large widows to bring the outside in, well stocked kitchen for those of us who love to cook and large patios to entertain on.

I have visited Torrey and stayed at most of the lodges, cabins, motels over the past 25 years. I can say with some authority that this property is unique in that it is new, clean, well managed and feels like a home. The owners have stocked the frig, cupboards (sugar, salt, pancake mix, syrup, coffee, pam) so that you can actually cook a meal if you want. There are also good quality pots, pans, skillets, knives + unusual items like an ice cream maker, waffle maker. Appliances, furniture are IKEA or better. There are overhead fans, gas fireplace, full sized new w/d. There is an owner prepared book with menus from local restaurants+ manuals to any appliance or gadget you might have questions about. There are excellent books covering regional topics along with binoculars for studying the vista. This property reminds me of upscale lodges or hotels in America or Costa Rica or elsewhere that provide you with not only comfortable lodging, but an enriched environment to enhance your visit. Thank you for offering this experience to us. I certainly appreciate it and will help maintain it's pristine condition.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property in Torrey. It was a great base for us to explore Capitol Reef National Park. The home was spotless and well equipped with everything we could possibly need or want. The home was bright and airy with terrific views out any window. We enjoyed cooking in the well stocked kitchen and relaxing outside on the porches watching sunrises and sunsets! Would definitely stay here again if in the area!

Outstanding home and great location for Capitol Reef

Four friends rented this wonderful property in April and we all agreed that staying here really added to the quality of our Utah visit. The home is lovely, modern, clean, well maintained, and extremely well stocked with kitchen and bathroom supplies as well as informational material about the area. The owner is nearby and came to welcome us. He was available when a small problem arose. Perhaps our favorite thing about our stay here were the decks, enticing us to relax in the beautiful weather, looking at the nearby rocky cliffs.

Martin and Linda have a completely stocked, very tasteful decorated and immaculately clean rental home. It was the perfect launching pad for our adventures in and around the Torrey area. They are pros and are completely on the ball from start to finish.

Beautiful, peaceful and full of possible adventures

I wasn't sure what to expect before I drove up to the house but once I got there I didn't want to leave! Everything in the home was top of the line and I felt right at home immediately. The rear deck looks right over the town and directly out onto the beautiful red rocks. Sunrises and sets were fantastic! The shower was also incredible! There are THREE shower heads!! I will definitely be back to visit both the adorable town of Torrey and also this vacation home. 5/5 stars for sure!!

Beautiful property with terrific views!

This is our 5th visit to this beautiful property. It is very well maintained; the owners have a real knack for the details. Bathrooms are downright luxurious and the kitchen is a delight to cook in.
