|Minimum Stay||4 - 7 nights|
Thank you for considering 4Sunsets for your vacation. We love it and we know that you will, too. We tried to make it perfect for you in every way.
Of course, that starts with the location. Steps away from one of the most beautiful, white sand beaches on the planet, this brand new (finished in 2014) kid- and dog-friendly beach house is located in the quiet and peaceful area of Secluded Dunes, parallel to St. Joseph's Peninsula State Park with a rare view to Eagle Harbor.
If you like amazing views, there are lots of ways to catch them. Enjoy your morning coffee or late afternoon beverage watching the sunrise or sunset from one of four decks, complete with screened-in porch, breakfast bar and latching deck gate (to keep little ones and dogs from roaming down to the beach without you).
A great beach house has to have a spacious living area, and we created one with plenty of room to hang out, play games, dine in, or just relax and watch a good movie. It has a beautiful fireplace, big screen TV with Directv, DVD player, Yamaha bluetooth speaker, wet bar and dining room table for 8 with seating for 4 more at the granite breakfast bar.
The kitchen is equipped with brand new stainless steel appliances (the dishwasher is super quiet), granite counter tops, an island for extra counter space and everything you’ll need for cooks of every level. Not to mention the outdoor Weber grill (connected to our propane tank so you never have to worry about running out) as well.
4Sunsets comfortably sleeps up to 13 vacationers with top-quality mattresses to help ensure you wake up rested and ready to enjoy the day. We have four bedrooms, each one special and spacious in its own way. There is a master suite on the main level (Garden Square) with a bay-side deck where you can see the sunrise over the state park. The two gulf front suites (Lia and Sunflower) on the second level have stunning views that won't disappoint. The kids’ suite (twin bunks over a full bed with a twin trundle, full sofabed facing a big screen TV and DVD player for movie nights) has been tested and approved by our kids so it’s sure to be a hit with yours.
And we didn’t mess around with the showers, which are exquisite. You’ll particularly like the double shower in Sunflower (check out the picture) but they’re all pretty cool and spa-inspired. And there are two more, fully enclosed outside showers for those of us who like to be one with nature after a run, bike or time on the beach. They all have tankless water heaters to conserve energy and provide plenty of hot water right away.
In the end, we built 4Sunsets with one thing in mind: we wanted to create a clean, peaceful oasis where you can get away, relax and have fun with your friends and family without a care in the world.
'With 10 miles of sugar white sand, this park is one of the top rated beaches in the United States rated #1 by Dr. Beach in 2002 . Sunbathing, shelling, snorkeling, swimming, bicycling and fishing are popular activities. A boat ramp which accommodates most trailered vessels is located at Eagle Harbor. Some of the highest dunes in the nation are found here as well as some of the last remaining habitat of coastal sand pine scrub. St Joseph Peninsula State Park has an abundance of wildlife and provides excellent opportunities for bird watching and wildlife viewing. The park is extremely popular during scallop season (July 1 - Labor Day weekend).'

Additional recommendations from a vacationer who has been visiting CSB since the '60s:
I think I recall you mentioning a couple spots in Apalachicola for eating and just thought I would add our favorite in case you have not yet discovered it your self. The Grill of course is the original one and only on the corner by the light with bar none other best grouper sandwich in the pan handle. It was there forty years ago and Peter Fonda and the movie crew of Ulee's Gold which was made down there were regular customers. LOL it was the only choice actually for years. His 'Gold' was the famous Tupelo Honey gathered along the Appalach River. Best honey ever harvested and we still order it from locals by the gallon.
Our other favorite is Tamara's. It was originally located on one of the back streets but about five or so years ago she moved to the main street on the opposite side from the Grill and down the street a ways so not directly opposite The Grill. The Owl is okay but we really like Tamara's best.
Then hopefully you have also enjoyed the Raw Bar on 31 en route to Apalachicola. His hours are when he feels like opening and when they raked up enough oysters. We of course still like it before he modernized and expanded it and it was half the size it is now. Back when we walked it yelled at who ever was behind the counter 'Hey Bubba I want a tray of them steamed oysters ya'all just pulled out of the bay', then walked over to the cooler on the back wall and picked the brew of choice and sat at a table. When the oysters were cracked open and either steamed of raw as you wanted they were put on the counter and you went up and got the tray your self.
It all started when 4 friends from college brought their 4 sons to visit grandparents in Mexico Beach and needed a place to stay with their family dog. Cape San Blas was the closest spot and we all fell in love with the beauty and peacefulness of the forgotten coast. A few years later after another visit we started to talk seriously about making a dream a reality. Now, 7 years later, it's our genuine pleasure to share one of the most amazing places (in our opinion) on earth with you.
Alissa purchased this house in 2014
It's perfect. White sand, refreshing Gulf of Mexico, dolphins, sea turtles, no crowds, state park access…and saving the best for last, magical sunsets that are different each night.
We know what it's like to travel with kids and meet up with friends for a long week at the beach. We tried to make 4Sunsets clean, comfortable, homey yet uncluttered with spots for people to hang out together but also spots to get away for some privacy and quiet time. There's also a tandem kayak available to rent if you're interested in that.
I have to tell you - we all just took showers and are sitting here talking about the fact that this is truly BY FAR the nicest (and DEFINITELY the cleanest) home we have ever stayed in. We already don't want the week to end!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at 4Sunsets. The house and furnishings were very clean. We quickly felt at home in this large, new, well laid out beach house. The beds were great, we all slept well. We all agreed the location was on our favorite part of the cape- very close to the state park. We recommend 4Sunsets to anyone wanting a great vacation at Cape San Blas.
We were so lucky to enjoy a wonderful week at 4Sunsets in Cape San Blas. Our party of 7 couldn't have been happier with our accommodations! The location was peaceful and provided such easy access to the beach. The house was clean, well maintained, and had everything we needed and more. The kitchen was fabulous and the kids loved the bunk room. They really did think of every detail!
We really appreciated Alissa working with us as we had to make a last minute reservation with her due to the fact the house we were scheduled to stay in had some maintenance issues. She got us set up and ready to move into 4Sunsets in less than 12 hours. This was our fourth visit to the Cape and 4Sunsets is by far our favorite house. We are looking forward to making more wonderful memories here next year!
We couldn't have been more pleased with Alissa and her property! Will try to rent next year!
We had another wonderful vacation here!! The house was perfect for our family and friends. Alissa has stocked the kitchen with everything one could need. We'll definitely be back next year!!
We had a wonderful time at your beach house, the beach was very private and relaxing. The house layout was great with plenty of room. We ate at shipwrecked raw bar in Port St Joe, great crab cakes, and got good shrimp and fish from St Joe shrimp company. If your looking for a great house on a peaceful relaxing beach then I highly recommend 4 sunsets! Thanks Alissa
We love the area and the house was perfect!! It is roomy and spacious and decorated wonderfully!! It is right on the beach and the views are
spectacular!! We loved our stay but it was way too short!! We're trying to talk our grown children into renting this house and including us for
their vacation - that is if we can find a week that's not booked!! Love it and would re-rent again in a heartbeat!!
