Lovely farmhouse with spectacular views

  • 5 of 5

Il Casale is located along the spine of one of numerous rolling hills allowing for unparalleled views. My husband one day counted 13 hilltop towns whose many towers could be seen from the edge of the property!! Yummy cappuccini are to be had at the local cafe/bar, just a 5 minute walk up the street. The two brothers and sister who run the bar are wonderfully friendly, and had great suggestions for places to visit during our stay. Marina, the owner, was incredibly responsive to every request, even bringing an emersion blender to us so we could make soup! Our four year old spent every day in the pool, delighted in watching the neighbor's sheep, and filled the evening hunting for lizards. There are two huge, prolific fig trees that bore an incredible amount of delicious fruit. The pizza oven is fantastic, and we experimented with different crusts and toppings weekly during our nearly two month stay. We did daily walks around the locale, and were lucky enough to witness birthing season for the nearby sheep and to watch the harvesting tractors doing their end of season work. Nearby hilltop towns have seasonal festivals with music, local food, and games every weekend in the Summer, and most weekends during the early Fall. We unfortunately missed the outdoor opera in Macerata which had its last performance in August, but the city itself has much to offer and is just 20 minutes drive. The locale is so picturesque that we enjoyed many days just driving around and taking it all in. The only thing we would change is that next time we would bring friends with us!! Many thanks again to Marina and family and to Gabriel for an extraordinary vacation.

Lovely Villa with Superb Views

  • 5 of 5

This villa totally surpassed our expectations. We were travelling with 2 children aged 8 & 5yrs and this was the perfect place for them to spend a holiday as the pool was clean, the garden very safe with lots for them to do. The villa is situated about 7mins stroll from a local bar and situated in the middle of farms and beautiful countryside. The views are outstanding. The villa itself is very large and spacious and very well appointed inside. There is a wood fired pizza oven on the terrace, lots of fruit growing in the orchard, figs, grapes, pomegranates & it is about a 30minute drive to the nearest beach. It was spotlessly clean and obviously a well loved Villa when not being rented out. The owner is delightful.

Villa Il Casale Mancina Mogliano Italy

  • 5 of 5

Just to say thank you for recommending Il Casale please pass on our comments to Martina and her mum. On arriving we absolutely loved the villa in its own grounds and the privacy of the property.

The villa was much better than we imagined, so spacious immaculately clean, and wonderful scenery from every angle we were truely impressed and hope to return in the future. Martina and her mum apologies we do not know mum's name were so welcoming and helpful. The wedding was in mogliano town hall and reception at Villa Castellani what a setting truely a wonderful day so all in all had a memorable holiday in mogliano and have so much more to discover over there, fab place to retire to!

Thanks for all your help hope you enjoyed your road trip.

Kind regards

Sharon Fergusson

Villa Il Casale Mancina Mogliano Italy

  • 5 of 5

We came on holiday to Mogliano for a family wedding June 2011. On arrival at Villa Il Casale Martina and her mum were there to greet us and were so kind and welcoming. The Villa is wonderful and I would highly recommend it for an idyllic stay in this beautifiully scenic area. There are many pretty medieval villages around to explore and you are only 40 minutes away from lovely beaches.

The house was immaculately clean, much more spacious than we imagined in its own grounds and the garden area was safe and wonderful for our grand daughter to play in. There are cherry trees, a jasmine bush and you are surrounded by lavender and the view from every angle is spectacular, cant wait to return. Family wedding was amazing what a place to get married. Thanks to Gabriel for introducing us to this heavenly spot.

Perfect holiday

  • 5 of 5

This farmhouse is really perfect for spending a holiday. The house is absolutely perfect equipped, nothing was missing. The house is very well maintained and absolutely clean, everything is new renowated. The rooms are all very spacious, also the bathrooms. The house stand in a large garden with nice trees spending shadow in the hot period but having enough place for children playing. What makes this house superb to our opinion is the well maitained and very clean swimming-pool (0,8 to 1,6 m deep, 10 to 5m large) and the shadowy pergola surrounding the house on two sides.

La Macina is a good place to visit the province of Macerata with many cultural highlights, roman cities (like Urbisaglia),castles, abbeys (like Fiastra)and medieval churches (you will find many guide-books in the house). The Monte Sibillini, which can be seen clearly from the house, are within reach if you like to visit mountainous regions. The sea is about 30 Minutes by car. Even Ancona with Monte Conero and Ascoli Piceno, which are both worth a visit, are only one hour of driving away. Even if you want only to relax, the house is perfect in its absolutely calm setting. In Corridonia and Mogliano (both less than ten minutes away) you will find all you need: Restaurants, super markets etc.

We stayed two weeks and could have stayed longer in this part of Italy that is still italian and not touristic (exept the beaches).
