Beautifully secluded. We absolutely loved feeling as if we were the only ones around as the cabin sits in a position where we are surrounded by nature, not on top of other cabins, yet close enough to town! The cabin was perfect with so much space!! Definetly our pick for years to come as we love this area of TN! We will be back!
Absolutely beautiful cabin!
We enjoyed it so much! The home is beautiful in every way the view, decor and the feel was welcoming! The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Grandkids loved the hot tub! We had a great time at the cabin. Driveway was steep but it was worth it. We didn't want to leave! Wish we could have stayed longer.
Spacious and beautiful
This was a lovely, secluded cabin with plenty of space for our family (9 adults and 2 babies). It was well equipped to cook meals, and the hot tub was such a bonus. It was quiet and secluded, so we could take walks without worrying about tons of traffic. We had a wonderful time!
Relaxing and Fun - Beautiful and Secluded
We celebrated my husband's 60th birthday with family. The place is gorgeous and spacious! The hot tub was a great bonus and all the relaxing seats on the porch were appreciated!
We made great memories!
Plenty of critters, and ways for critters to get into the cabin.
As soon as we started putting things in the kitchen, we noticed that every single top kitchen drawer had mouse droppings in it. While the owners had a cleaning crew come out that evening, this made the main focus of our first of two evenings simply cleaning a cabin that should have been clean to begin with. The essence of the owner’s comment to me was that it is a cabin in the woods, and so these things are to be expected, and maybe my family, including a baby as one of my four grandchildren present among the mouse droppings, should have stayed in a Pigeon Forge hotel instead. Therefore, if you don’t like mouse droppings, I recommend that you follow his advice and avoid this cabin, in which we also killed 4 wasps and a cockroach during our stay. Two of the sliding glass doors do not lock, which is remarkable because the cleaning people mentioned that a mother bear and her cubs tend to visit the property every evening, right about the time that I was outside trying to get Verizon phone reception so that the owner could tell me that I should have stayed elsewhere. There are construction materials lying in the unfinished basement, a possible hazard for small children as well. There is no door blocking access to the basement stairs. Some of the storm windows do not close all the way. This must be a known problem, because paper was already stuck up in the cracks. Some of the blinds were broken. It’s too bad, because the initial impression one has when first walking in the cabin is that it’s very attractive.
Our cabin is excellently maintained by a top notch cleaning crew. I agree with the reviewer. If you love staying in a secluded cabin, where wildlife abounds, on 5 acres in the Great Smokey Mountains, this cabin is for you. If not, there are great hotels in town. We do not have a mice problem, but when there are dramatic weather changes, there is always the possibility of a mouse getting inside. Kudos to our cleaning service for coming in after hours (within 2 to 3 hours of being notified) to remedy the problem.
Beautiful house in a secluded spot
The photos really don’t do the house justice. It’s spacious and beautifully decorated. We had some initial misgivings when we arrived, as you can’t see the house from the road and it looked like we were about to drive off the edge of a cliff, but our minivan handled the steep driveway just fine, and the house was well worth it! The views are quite nice, and my family of five plus my brother and sister in law all had plenty of room. Would definitely recommend it!
This beautiful mountain home is situated in the mountains surrounding scenic Wears Valley between Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Townsend. It is far enough away from the 'touristy' areas for those who want to avoid them, but close enough to be convenient for those who love the tourist attractions this area is famous for! It is a great area for hiking, rafting, and tubing and is just a few miles from a back entrance to the Smokey Mountains National Park. Situated on 5 mountainous acres, you will have no nearby neighbors and will be able to experience true privacy.
