Amazing stay at the Hilltop Cottage

  • 5 of 5

I will tell you what. This place was simply amazing. If you like hearing the creek of the floors in a home that was built in 1910 that sits in a town that was started in 1884 than this place is for you. Old fashioned wood floors was the kicker, just loved it. It fit our family well. Dog friendly was a plus as well. Walking the dogs downtown was a plus. being close to my family was a plus. And the best part is that is was less expensive then staying at the casino on the hill by a long shot. The icing on the cake is Sandy and Ken where there for us when we had any questions. I highly recommend this little gem.

quiet and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

This little house was perfect for my wife and me to get away and enjoy a hassle free couple of days. The neighborhood was very quiet, we heard a little piano music every so often, but not too loud. It is an easy walk to downtown, though rather steep. Being able to park off the street was nice and we never had to get in the car once to do anything.

Delightful location but lacking in details

  • 3 of 5

The cottage is charming and very convenient to downtown Prescott and the surrounding area. There are a few details that need attention. Light switches in the bedroom didn't work, the headboard on the bed was not attached and drifted toward your head. There's a plastic mattress protector, a real turnoff. It's great that this is a historic property but more plugs are needed for phones, computers, etc. Kitchen, bathrooms, laundry, TV's are fine. Gas fireplace heats the home very well. We liked the cute amenities and decor, so all that is needed is attention to some functional details and this will be a wonderful getaway home.

Awesome Cottage House

  • 5 of 5

There are many advantages in staying at this wonderful cottage! It is very spacious, clean, decorated nicely, your own parking spot and so many other amenities. These include a quiet but friendly neighborhood, a library right across the block and a fenced-in front yard with a nice fire pit. We loved the close proximity of this historic district just a few blocks away from Whiskey Row, restaurants, beautiful homes to see, museums and hiking near the urban trails and lakes. Our lab enjoyed the yard out front and making friends with some of the neighbors pets as well. Walking around this historic neighborhood is such a pleasure and as a dog friendly town, you feel right at home. The only inconvenience noted was that we were unable to get both DVD players to work as noted by other reviews. Then again, who needs to watch movies when there is much to see in Prescott! We were here in January and it was pretty cold in the evenings as there were patches of snow throughout but we are definitely returning in the Autumn season as we hear it becomes quite vibrant due to all the trees and other greenery. I highly recommend this cottage and coordinating our vacation dates with the owner Sandy was a pleasure!!

Charming cottage in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

Cottage is very close to the courtyard square where we spent most of our time, our four year old had no problem walking that distance. Home is charming and comfortable and the double bunk beds were perfect for our kids. The front yard has a picket fence and we were able to enjoy the outside while keeping our youngest contained while we enjoyed the fire pit and made some smores. Next time we're back in Prescott we will be booking this home!
