Sit on the deck with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee while listening for the loons, watching for eagles, and looking out over the water at the serene mountains in the distance. Relax while the kids frolic in the water and play on the swim float anchored just off-shore. One canoe and two kayaks (one single and one double) round out your complete lakeside experience. Five acres of total privacy and 300 feet of water frontage are yours to enjoy.

About Andrew and Sabina Soloway

We are from the NY metropolitan area and found Tilden Pond one summer after renting in the Mid-Coast region for years. It has become a haven for us and our children. A great place for all of us to unwind.

Andrew and Sabina Soloway purchased this cottage in 2005

Why Andrew and Sabina Soloway chose Belmont

After visiting family for many years in the Mid-Coast region and having gone to college in the Northeast it felt natural for us to find a home in the beautiful state of Maine. The warm waters of Tilden Pond in conjunction with ALL the activities and attractions the area offers make this spot so special. We come up from the New York area as often as we can and look forward to sharing this beautiful home with you.

What makes this cottage unique

The views from every window, being right on the water, the unmatchable local produce and the low key approach to life have made our home on Tilden the perfect getaway destination. Come listen to the loons and spot the eagles soaring overhead.

There aren't many places like this...

This is a beautiful property with a little magic in it, as the best places are. The views are captivating, the home is comfortable and clean in addition to being beautiful, and there is plenty of space for each guest to have their own space to enjoy it. The wildlife is spectacular: loons, hummingbirds, flycatchers even an bald eagle or two. And stars like the desert. Really, quite wonderful. And if that wasn't enough, it's an easy drive to Belfast, or Camden for dining or shopping. We were very sad to leave!

Gorgeous lakefront home

  • 5 of 5

This little slice of heaven has it all. Beautiful views from every window and a very serene, private location. The sights and sounds of nature are all around you and the stars at night over the water are amazing. So much to see and do in nearby towns. This is a wonderful place to enjoy a peaceful vacation with your family or just your spouse. We had a delightful stay here and would highly recommend. I would definitely book again!

Owner's Response: We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay on Tilden Pond. The eagles always seem to greet us as we arrive, and we can spend hours sitting on the boat house deck watching the water, relaxing or star gazing at night. The Milky Way has never looked so crystal clear! Thank you, and please come again.

Another Wonderful Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Back again for two weeks this time. Decided not to bring the rest of the family. There is plenty of room and things to do but we need the solitude so why spoil it! We feel so at home here and it has everything. I painted almost every day and my husband caught pike, perch, and bass from the deck of the boat house. The eagles flew by on most days, the geese have new goslings, and the loons . . . what can you say about the loons except that you miss them when you are gone. Day trips are possible in all directions. This year we went to Calaisand the Moosehorn NWS. Last year to Lubec and West Quoddy light. And there is always Acadia. The lupines came out just days before we left so the trip was complete. Hope to be back soon.

Simply perfect.

  • 5 of 5

We can't imagine a more perfect vacation! This property is immaculately maintained and beautifully appointed - it truly feels like home. Our family enjoyed coffee on the screened porch, cocktails on the boat house deck and many nights of Scrabble at the dining room table. We enjoyed meeting Burt and were delighted to hear some of the history of the property. It was a perfect week of relaxation and connecting with family.
