We really enjoyed our stay, cabin was clean and porch was awesome! Great views of the mountains and the lake. Only complaint is that the beds were not very comfortable, but otherwise we loved it!

Cute place

  • 3 of 5

The place is cute, not to far from Westcliffe, but needs a little attention in maintenance department. Many things are broken. The picture of the hammock was nice, but hammock was not able to hang up. 'The ice maker was not working or frozen or something, many light bulbs inside and outside on the deck were burned out. We didn't make a fire in the wood stove, but it wasn't cleaned out. While I was sleeping every night you could hear mice in the rafters running around, although there were not any mouse droppings seen in the house, this should be taken care of professionally. Master bedroom ceiling where the beams come across I noticed some gaps where they might have gotten in..

The views and the property are nice, but the house is really small, although it could sleep six, I wouldn't have more than four there, especially if you want to eat at the same table, there are only four chairs, so other guest would have to sit at the breakfast bar.

We used to live in Cotopaxi about six years ago and Westcliffe was a cute town, now it is very rundown and there are not many restaurants open anymore, which is a shame.
