Our home is located steps from restaurants, coffee shops, bars, liquor, pharmacy, groceries, & local boutiques: All the places that make Portland Proud! We offer fast WiFi and ample free street parking. This is where spacious, practical, & whimsical all converge for your enjoyment.

Spend some time among the Pacific Northwest- inspired decor, as The Ginkgo House is designed to meet your comfort, and there are plenty of amenities which will lighten your luggage. The bedrooms are spacious, the house has a great layout, and best of all there are 4 full bathrooms easily creating the comfort of privacy.
We host many generational families, work retreats and employees who need some privacy from their colleagues. Plenty of free street parking and ample FAST WIFI, along with several smart TV's for streaming.

We’re also just a 15-minute drive ride to Downtown Portland, easily accessible to the airport PDX, less than 15 min to the Convention Center, MODA Center, Japanese Gardens, and greater Portland adventures, including the resplendently beautiful Columbia River Gorge.

Five bedrooms and Four full bathrooms all laid out in a house that allows for a fun time all together, as well as some personal space shall you choose. There are two fully stocked kitchens for your entertaining. Many other handy amenities offer you a chance to pack less : washer/dryer, earplugs, irons, blow dryers, shampoos, games, DVD's, and so much more.

★ AMPLE SPACE FOR LARGE GROUPS & FAMILIES ★ Over 3 floors, this home features: a street level entrance (no steps) as well as an entrance on the upper porch, 2 distinct living spaces with open concept living areas, two full kitchens, 4 TVs, 5 bedrooms (9+ total beds + cribs) and 4 full bathrooms to sleep 12-14 adults/children + infants. (the sweet spot of double occupancy, + extra twins/crib. Every single person counts towards the total.) Upper bunks meant for people under 175 lbs.

Kindly let us know prior to booking if you intend to have others come and enjoy the property or have any other questions. Large family vacations generally don't happen often, and we want to make sure your experience here is the best.

The house works really well for work groups, retreats, work get -togethers.

If you are looking for an extended time to stay, please contact me if the calendar won't allow you to book. Booking 31 nights and over causes our otherwise high lodging taxes to fall off.

★ Due to so many bathrooms and plenty of private spaces, The Ginkgo House hosts lots of business, executive and retreat guests. Of course, we also host lots of wedding guests, and multi-generational groups.

This house is a side -by- side townhouse- style duplex. You are renting a whole house- 5 bedrooms, 4 baths, and 2 kitchens over 3 inter-connected floors. Noise doesn't generally transfer to the other whole house next door, and you'll have your privacy.
We have found that for planning purposes, a detailed layout outline (below) is helpful.

★ ACCESSIBILITY ★ The lower level entrance is at street level. No Stairs to get inside. The whole street level is non -carpeted, and there are two bedrooms and a full bathroom. Bathtub and shower

★ OUTDOOR LIVING + A QUAINT FRONT PORCH ★ A front porch perched above the street is perfect for enjoying a quiet moment to yourself or having a drink and conversation with friends and relatives. Private Back Patio with a large table and many chairs, A BBQ, and a seasonal couch

★ Here’s the breakdown from top floor to bottom floor as far as the 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms go ★

-Upper Level / 3rd floor:
✺ The Ginkgo Leaf King Master Suite- King with a private Bathroom including shower, TV
✺ The Starlight Twins' Bedroom - Twins' bedroom has 4 twins in 2 bunk beds with Bathroom in hallway

- Main/ 2nd floor:
✺ The Blue Rain King Bedroom -with Homer's Hideaway Bathroom next door. This is the only bedroom on this main floor, which also houses the living room/kitchen/dining level

- Street level/ 1st floor:
✺ King Bedroom with TV, WIFI
✺ Twins' Room has two twin beds with pull- out twin trundle if necessary- This level has one hallway Bathroom
- Crib (Pack-n-play sized portable wooden crib), highchair, gate, etc. if needed. Please let us know if you need either set up.

✺The main kitchen, living and dining areas, along with the washer and dryer are located on the main level along with the front porch and Homer’s Hideaway bathroom. There is an additional open concept living area on the lower level with a 4th bathroom.

PLEASE NOTE :

✹We love families! We accommodate all of our guests, and each counts towards the total.
✹It looks as though VRBO has changed the way they word their fees. The cleaning fee is now being called a "host fee" The other fees belong to VRBO and lodging taxes go to the city. However, we do not have sales tax here. So, you can plan on buying "all the things."
✹ Nightly prices are set by a third party program. Each guest over the base rate of 8, including infants, is an additional $25/each night of the reservation.
✹While VRBO strongly recommends you use the platform for all communication, due to the size of the house and the multiple parties who stay here altogether, I use a rental agreement and welcome letter via email to make it easier for the person who books to disseminate information about the house, including how to get in.
This puts all of my guests on an equal footing, and they love it for its ease. You can see that reflected in the reviews.
We are not side -stepping VRBO for your booking, as it is already made/paid through this portal.

Shall a need for help arise while you are here, Belladonna will most likely be the one to resolve it in a timely manner.

Lastly "the Nots": We cannot allow animals due to allergies. That's a $400 cleaning penalty fee. And the pet will have to leave immediately.

We aren't responsible for injuries on our property.
We don't allow people to stay here other than our guests whom are planning to stay, and have paid for the property. If you have a partial stay guest, we just count that as a guest for the reservation.
No smoking (weed, cigs, e-cigs, vaping) inside the property. There are places for smoking outdoors. It's Oregon, after all!
Large groups of “mens' weekends” should look elsewhere.
If you intend to have friends over for a gathering, please contact me prior to booking.
I have a special permit to have this type of rental, and I've been at this for 11 years. This means that your reservation is secure and also personal.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT :
Check-in after 4:30 PM. Check out by 10:30AM. It takes time to make sure the cleans are detailed for every group! If you need an earlier check-in , we will try to accommodate that if we are able free of charge. You could leave your luggage if necessary on either end of your stay.

We have Ring video doorbells out front for security purposes.
