About Sue Larson

We live on a lake in Minneapolis , MN, love boating and the water life and hope to retire to Cape Coral in about 10 years

Sue Larson purchased this house in 2014

Why Sue Larson chose Cape Coral

Our friends have a vacation home in Palaco Grande and we were so impressed with the beauty and peacefulness of the neighborhood that we started looking for a vacation home of our own. After much searching, the moment we walked into this remodeled home, we signed the purchase agreement on the spot.

What makes this house unique

Open floor plan for our growing family and entertaining friends. We are avid boaters and the quick access to the river and Gulf were a seller!

Wonderfully quiet and relaxing, yet close to all the activities. The house is beautiful and well stocked with anything we needed to cook, relax, and play. The indoor / outdoor living was great. The pool and hot tub were both fun and relaxing. Early morning coffee on the dock was a favorite. We couldn't figure out the heating of the hot tub, and Sue was very responsive. She was here within 10 minutes of our phone call to show us how to do it. We would definitely come back.

You Will Never Want To Leave'

  • 5 of 5

This house truly deserves all the five stars it gets. So comfortable and stocked with everything you could possibly need. The view and sunsets on the canal are breathtaking. My son came to Cape Coral for the first time. Now he will be hooked too! It really pulls you back because of its tropical feel. Management is so accommodating and welcoming. We would have really had to try hard to not have a great time in this house. We felt so sad leaving!

Thanks again Sue Larson!!!!!! We LOVED IT 🌻?🌻?🌻?

  • 5 of 5

For the 3rd year in a row, we have gone thru Sue Larson for our rental. We chose another house this year. We didn't think it could be possible to find another house as nice as last years rental. But once again, she sent us many links to other houses she either owns or is the property manager. We chose this one.

We usually stay 3-4 weeks,as we drive and tow our boat. This house was gorgeously decorated and just perfect. My favorite(well besides the lanai and pool ) was the open kitchen with a bar like counter to the living room.In back of pool there's a beautiful dock area with a boat lift, which my husband loved. The canal was just feet away from the house.. the sunrises were the best, but the moon was always so clear and shining down into the pool.

We never used the oven once but did use the nice grill(with extra tank) every time we cooked. I prepped the meals in the kitchen, then the meats went on the grill. We didn't have to go out for lunch or dinner many times. We also have friends and family in Cape Coral and other parts of the state. This house was perfect for entertaining with quite a few people.

The area is very peaceful and property very well maintained. We didn't get a chance to use the kayaks but the bikes were used every day. We loved this place so much we may rent again next year... tho she has 12 more houses that are gorgeous too,it's very hard to make up our minds.

Sue is such a pleasure to deal with, always getting right back to me if needed.Ive been lucky enough to meet her 2X, happy go lucky lady. We've only been home 10 days and got our deposit back already. We hated to leave but life goes on.Our goal is too rent (or buy) for 4 ish months of the year. Only 2 more years. Thanks to Sue Larson for everything you've done for us again. Will be in touch soon, with our choice for next year... this house should get 10 stars...

To the people that rent this next ENJOY, Lorrie Donnelly

Perfect Florida vacation rental!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in this home. Everything was as described. clean, with updated appliances, and well stocked with everything we needed. It was hot this week, so we really enjoyed relaxing in the pool and grilling out on the lanai. The neighborhood is quiet, yet there are many excellent restaurants and shops just a short drive away. We hope to vacation here again when back in Florida.

Minneapolis, MN, US

Lovely home, just the right floor plan for us!

  • 5 of 5

This is a repeat visit for us. We like to come down from Minnesota to see the Twins at training camp in Fort Myers at their beautiful new stadium. We have found this to be a very well maintained and clean property. Management team is always responsive if there is a question or concern. We plan to return again!

We left early - this does not match the on-line description. Less than 1 STAR!

  • 1 of 5

We left after one week of our scheduled three week stay.

I believe the failures lie with the management team: the villa clearly was not cleaned correctly or prepared for our arrival, clean bedding and towels are basic essentials for any property intended for the use of families. Stained pillows, mattresses and damp towels are a check that the management team should not miss and the response that we should have found the pillow protectors and new bed set for the master in the bathroom closet and fitted them ourselves is lazy and ignores the point entirely.

This villa was advertised on VRBO: “This home has been completely remodelled and is luxuriously furnished in a Tommy Bahama resort-like decor.” “The home is brand new and perfect in every way, boasting upgrades in every room.” This does not match the property in any way! Our response from the management team (no response from the owners at all) indicates they clearly missed the point that we booked this holiday based on the description posted on-line and were so disappointed because of the fundamental failures that we left two weeks early at a significant un-budgeted cost to ourselves. Below are some of the points raised with the management team:

No ironing board

TV (Netflix) not setup for arrival.

Fridge and cupboards not cleared of 'out of date' produce.

Safe locked with no instructions in the villa information pack (I use that term lightly) - when we cleared the villa on departure we found the instructions in the laundry room and have opened the safe and left the instructions in the information pack.

The patio door handle is very loose.

Electrical wall sockets in our boys bedrooms are loose and may be unsafe.

Light bulbs not working.

Women's underwear and dirty socks in the bedrooms on arrival.

This property is tired, was not cleaned or prepared for arrival, in need of some basic repairs and does not match on the on-line description. Poor!

Owner's Response: Plain and simple this is a failed RENTER SCAM. While I have heard of these renter extortion scams before, I am fortunate that in 7 years handling 14 homes, this is the first time I have experienced one. I would encourage people considering a stay here to read this home’s other 38 glowing reviews, including one written by a renter who stayed at the home one week prior to this renter. This renter asked me in his first inquiry for a discount if he stayed 3 weeks. He said he wasn’t sure that he wanted to stay in just one city for his 3 week vacation and needed incentive to stay longer. He indicated he was pitting 3 homes against each other to see who would give him the “best deal” since it was “low season “. Getting a “deal” even beyond normal low season rates seemed very important to him. The only truth to the made up accusations in his review were that Netflix needed to have the password reentered as someone had logged out of it vs. “putting it to sleep.” When my local manager immediately came over to reset the password, the renter said he preferred Naples to Cape Coral and thought he would like to go stay there for the last couple weeks of his vacation. No other complaints or communication until the renter emailed me at the end of a FULL one week stay and said they had left the home that day because it was “uninhabitable. ” He said if we did not return all his money he would write a bad review. He gave a laundry list of issues that he said he “was sure I was not aware of as I did not live in Florida.” I actually live 2 blocks away from this home. I immediately went to the home upon receiving the email and found absolutely NONE of the issues he listed on his email. I politely responded to him asking for specifics. I also told him I had personally been in the home on cleaning day the previous Saturday and found nothing out of place. I actually had helped the cleaning woman make the beds! His complaints on the bedding were particularly interesting as a renter 2 weeks earlier had asked where we had purchased our sheets, she liked them so much. Once he learned he was not getting a refund due to his false accusations of a "poor cleaning staff," he changed his tactic to this home having a poor manager (me). He tracked down the owners to tell them their home was being mismanaged and threatened them with a bad review if they did not pay him off. We did not pay him off and he wrote a bad review.
