Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday home in Bisbee - The Highland House

Modern Home, 2 Bedroom, 1 Bath, Downtown Old Bisbee

Welcome to the Highland House in historic Old Bisbee, Arizona. The Highland House is located on Chihuahua Hill, just above Old Bisbee with magnificent views of the town from our spacious deck. Directly across the highway lies the grand entrance of the Copper Queen Mine. As the sun sets behind the Mule Mountains, you can watch the town light up for an even more amazing view.

When staying at the Highland House, it's hard not to know what's going on in town, but there's plenty to do to escape it and stay in for some quiet time as well. There is a chest of games and puzzles, books and magazines and a CD stereo system and DVD player with some classic movies available for viewing. We now offer basic cable as well!

What is especially nice and convenient is the private parking. Like many of Old Bisbee's lodgings, parking is a rare commodity (they didn't plan for cars when Bisbee was built). At the Highland House, you can drive directly up to the house for ease of unloading your belongings.

Our commitment to your accommodation is our first priority. To really understand what the Highland House is like, you'll have to experience it for yourself. We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Webb Vacation to Bisbee

  • 5 of 5

We no longer stay in hotels. We use VRBO for all our vacation needs. With all of our trips, much planning goes into getting the best house to stay in at a good price. The Highland House is an excellent home. The pictures are accurate, the beds are comfortable, and the owners have thought of everything. From the locally roasted coffee to a kitchen that is stocked with items you will need in a pinch. It sits above the town and the mine. The views are outstanding. With every house there is one thing you didn't count on. For us this time it was the driveway. It is steep, but please do not let that prevent you from renting this house.

Thank you for allowing us to share this beautiful property.

Nice Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We arrived to a clean, comfortable, private home. Especially liked the ample parking with easy access to the house. We try to get to Bisbee 2 to 3 times a year to shop and sightsee and hit the local pubs and restaurants. The home was very accommodating and the deck was easy to enjoy. Thank you Julie and Martin for opening up your home and being so gracious. Looking forward to returning. Mike and Mel R.

A 5*+ cottage!

  • 5 of 5

My daughter and I were pleasantly surprised how quickly we felt at home! What a delightful cottage: it was immaculate, comfortable, great location! I can say that parking near the Highland House was a great plus, compared to other cottages in the area. We did, however, walk the stairs...once! As we toured the Bisbee merchants, we noticed you folks supported them in furnishing us with gourmet coffees, cookies, soaps, spices, etc.! Our first visit to Bisbee was memorable...and as gracious hosts, you made it possible! Both of us will definitely pass on our exceptional experience to our New Mexico friends! (...and you can expect us to return!!)

Owner's Response: Yay Marcia! So glad we were able to make your first visit to Bisbee a pleasant and memorable one! As you mentioned in your review, yes, we do try to outfit the house with local amenities as we do believe on supporting local. Bisbee doesn't have any chain businesses, therefore we really do rely on one another in this small mountain enclave. Please, please, please come back to visit! And I do promise to come by next time so we can meet! Take care ~ Julie & Martin

Large house in Bisbee

  • 5 of 5

This house is bigger than we expected for 3 adults. There is another sofa in the dining room, a wraparound porch and a flagstone patio. The bedrooms are large. The entire house is very clean, nicely decorated and has everything we needed, including a dishwasher. We would definitely stay there again.

Highland House

  • 5 of 5

The home is perfect location, close to stairs to take you to old Bisbee (just off the porch). Parking which is a plus. Large deck and lower patio to enjoy the sun all day. The

home was very clean and the hosts have thought of

everything to make the stay wonderful. Washer and dryer, diswasher, great stove, BBQ, smart tv, wieeless. The place is private but close to amenities. Parked car and walked and hiked all week. Only used car for day trips and of course breakfast at Bisbee Breakfast Club. This place is a great retreat and could not have had a better location. If i could give more stars i would.

Owner's Response: Thank you Frances! So glad you got to really enjoy some hiking while you were here. And yes, it is so nice to not have to worry about finding parking in Old Bisbee and driving everywhere when you can walk. It's too bad the BBC wasn't closer so you could walk there too! We hope to see you again, thanks for offering more stars! Julie & Martin

Above town but close

  • 4 of 5

Had everything we needed. Clean & comfy & a short walk to town. If you like climbing stairs you will get along fine here. It's 70 steps to the street. There is a small parking spot near the house & we fit it with our Jeep. Has a really nice sunny deck with views of Bisbee & Queen Mine. We would stay again.
