Villa Oasis is a large detached property situated in its own spacious grounds set in a quiet rural location just outside the attractive, traditional Cypriot village of Maroni. Upstairs the main bedroom has an en-suite shower room. There are 2 further bedrooms, one twin and one double, and a bathroom. All bedrooms have air conditioning. There are panoramic sea views from the large balcony which also has a table and chairs. Downstairs is a spacious L shaped open plan living area, with fitted kitchen and dining and lounge areas. There is another shower room downstairs. Outside, the centre piece is a large '8' shaped swimming pool surrounded by about 20 palm trees.. There is a patio around the house and a barbeque perfect for al fresco dining on the warm evenings beneath the starry Cypriot sky. . The property is very private with just the occasional farm vehicle and a shepherd with his flock of goats passing by and is the ideal location to relax away from the stresses of modern living. Wi fi is now available.
We live in Bexhill on Sea in Sussex . John is retired and Maureen works part time as a sales rep for a publishing company. Our son lives in London with his wife and our grandson. Our daughter also lives in London with her husband and our grand daughter.
Maureen or John Woodside purchased this villa in 2004
We bought our house in Cyprus because we fell in love with this traditional area of Cyprus, the local people and their way of life when we stayed in Tochni ( a neighbouring village to Maroni) in 2003. We still love the area and the villa and can never wait to revisit it.
We loved Villa Oasis the moment we saw it because of its wonderful location particularly the panoramic view of the Mediterranean and the spaciousness of the villa. There was no pool when we bought it and the first thing we did was to add one and this is now the most used feature. We also named it Villa Oasis, installed air conditioning and recently had the back garden landscaped.
This was our second stay in Maroni so we knew we'd like the area. Villa Oasis is off the beaten track, which I really like but if you need more activity it is easy to head off to just about anywhere as the motorway is less than 10 minutes away.
I particularly liked the pool as, although not massive, you can actually swim in it rather than a couple of stroke and you are at the other end.
I had a great time running and walking around the network of farm tracks that radiate from the drive entrance (the road is paved up to the villa and doesn't become a track until after that).
To summarise: Villa Oasis is perfectly located for a rural stay and will easily accommodate six in three bedrooms. Plenty of places to eat out nearby along with a well stocked supermarket just up one exit up the motorway.
We have just spent 11 nights at Villa Oasis. The accommodation is as described and very comfortable. The pool is marvelous and ideal for the weather we had. Brian, the neighbour, is a mine of information and very helpful. There are some lovely tavernas (if that is the plural!) nearby. The area is fantastic, which gives the impression of being away from it all, but with great facilities within easy reach.
After a bad experience in booking our first direct holiday villa last year we thought we would give it one more go & couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised by Villa Oasis. The villa is exactly as described & very well equipped with good cooking equipment, great BBQ, loads of towels & a very nice welcome basket. It is very clean inside & out. All areas have enough chairs or loungers for 6 people. The pool is great & we spent lot a of time there during the day or after a trip to the beach. Brian, who looks after the villa was very helpful with suggestions for places to go, shops etc. We don't normally go back to a holiday location a second time, preferring to try new places, but we are already booking the villa for next year.
Myself and my wife had a lovely holiday whilst staying at Villa Oasis. The villa is in a very quiet location and has some great views of the sea. A car hire is probably a must though if you're wanting to explore and enjoy meals out in the local tavernas. We had some fantastic meals out thanks to the suggestions by the owners and by Brian who looks after things out in Cyprus and lives in the house behind the villa.
The villa is in a central location to visit all parts of the Island and we did plenty of exploring during our stay. We found locals in Maroni to be very friendly and the local shops are well stocked for essentials. Definitely a great place to go for a peaceful and relaxing holiday away from the tourist resorts. The booking process was made really easy, communication was quick and the instructions for finding the villa were good.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this villa and would book again if we choose to visit Cyprus again.
This was our first villa holiday and we so enjoyed our stay, so much so, that we are planning to return next year and hopefully our grandchildren will be able to join us for a week as they would so love playing in the beautiful pool.
Villa Oasis is positioned in such a quiet and peaceful location, which we love. It's position is just perfect for visiting all the wonderful places Cyprus has to offer.
You definately need a car, however, it's so nice that you can have a day when you just laze by the pool or jump in the car and go sightseeing. There's a great choice of good restaurants just a short drive away, or you can just fire up the BBQ at the villa.
The villa is very clean; the kitchen is well equipped; plenty of towels and bedding. Ample cupboard space.
Finally, what we did think was the perfect touch was the welcome basket left for us and not forgetting the vase of fresh flowers.
We've just had a wonderful 2 weeks in Cyprus staying at the beautiful Villa Oasis. It is situated in an ideal position for exploring Cyprus though a hire car is a must. It is set in a peaceful, idyllic and private location. It is very spacious, clean and well equipped. The swimming pool was the kids highlight, one of the biggest we've had at a villa. It was used every day (and most evenings) what with having 2 weeks of wall to wall hot sunshine. Brian and Tina were very friendly and helpful (useful tips on things to do, restaurants and shopping to name but a few) and are only a phone call away if a problem arose, not that it did. Recommend for couples and families who want a break away from the hustle and bustle of the major towns but are still in an ideal location to explore. Recommend Fasouri water park Limassol, a trip to the Troodos mountains, Tomb of the Kings Paphos, Camel Park Mazotos, meal at Lord Kitcheners restaurant (5 mins drive from villa) and at Shanghia 2 Chinese restaurant in Kiti. Would definately recommend and many thanks to Maureen and John who throughout the booking and build up to our holiday were always in contact etc, a pleasure to deal with and once again many thanks for allowing us the use of your beautiful villa.
