Love the garden home!!!

  • 5 of 5

This house was absolutely perfect. We had four adults and two kids and it was spacious and cozy. We spent tons of time sitting in the sun room, listening to the rain. When we arrived, the house was stocked with fresh towels, tons of pans and dishes to cook with, board games, and even toys and books for my kids. We loved walking to whiskey row at night for dinner and enjoyed looking at the beautiful homes that surrounded this one. The owner was helpful when it came to booking, and made it very easy to get in with the lock box. We will be staying here again:)

The Garden Home: cozy and charming

  • 5 of 5

Very comfortably furnished and nicely decorated. Sleeping, cooking and eating all worked well. As it was a business trip we weren't there all day long. The block is very quiet. There is very little auto traffic. Would stay again with the family anytime.

Cute little charming house in wonderful peaceful neighborhood.

  • 5 of 5

The location is great just a very quick walk to downtown. The house is also very cute. It has a wonderful vintage charm with all the modern amenities. I sat on the enclosed patio and watched the rain. It was so lovely and peaceful. I will definitely stay here again. The neighborhood is very quiet. There is no tourist hustle and bustle like downtown. So you can really just enjoy your vacation.

Where do you live?

Quaint home in a great location

  • 5 of 5

This is a sweet home in a great location within the city. My kids had a fantastic time. This home was clean enough but as previous reviewers mentioned issues with spider webs and dust bunnies but was only occasional. No big deal. It is an old house with great charm. The neighbor was sweet and friendly. Made us feel part of the neighborhood.

Charming and convenient.

  • 3 of 5

The home had a very charming front room and sun room. There is everything you need and close to downtown. Sandy is great to work with and very responsive. The only two complaints are the king mattress could use a foam topper or new softer mattress as it was hard for me and hubby to get a restful sleep on. The other is the house keeper could be more attentive to the cob webs and 2 of the beds did not have fresh linen. Sandy called the house keeper and had her come right away. The house cleaner however was very upset and said she did not change the linen because she knew no one had slept in those 2 beds. The other 2 beds she said she had changed, we could tell were changed and were fine. We wish we had just changed the linen ourselves to avoid the confrontation from her. If not for those two things we would have given a 5 star rating.

Owner's Response: Hi Melissa, I'm sorry that the bed was too hard for you.... we have found that it is hard to please everyone . Some people like a harder matress and some like a softer one. Also, we do try to keep up on the cobwebs but they seem to apear on the outside of the window over night in the spring! Although we will strive to do a better job of knocking them down! As for the bedding I am truely sorry if they were not changed!! I know that the sheets are the first thing our cleaning lady takes care of if the bed has been slept in. We did get her there asap to change the sheets in question so to make your stay a wonderful one. I was sad and sorry to see a 3 star rating hopefully we can do a better job for you in the future. Thank you, Sandy
