You will feel the tension leave your body as soon as you walk in the door of this lovely 1,650 square foot 4 bedroom/ 2 full-bath ‘camp.’ This is not just a rental property, it is our second home that we just happen to rent once in a while....so it is well cared for with nice amenities.
There is a wall of windows facing the lake; a beautiful newly remodeled kitchen open to the eating and living space with a gas fireplace. A large deck is furnished with Adirondack chairs, large picnic table (seats 8 comfortably) and a large gas grill. From the deck, you traverse a level yard past a stone fire pit for those evening marshmallow roasts to the lake complete with wooden stairs to allow easy entry to the water into the water. For boaters, swimmers, sunbathers and party lovers there is a large dock that can accommodate a 20' boat. Of course, the dock is furnished with additional Adirondack chairs for awesome lakeside leisure. Also included in this beautiful property is a swim platform, two kayaks with paddles and life jackets, lots of wildlife and stunning sunrises.
Picture yourself relaxing on the dock, sitting by the fire with your favorite beverage while your loved ones are swimming, kayaking watching the loons and duck families. The evening skies reveal more stars than you have ever imagined. If your timing is right, the rising moon reflects across the lake directly into the living room. Plenty of parking and easily accessible, our camp on 4th Lake is a perfect vacation getaway!
Mark and Kathy absolutely love the Adirondack Mountains and Lakes. Residents of Rochester, NY they are close enough to frequent the mountains regularly. They have young children and two black labs that share their passion for ADK. This vacation home is their special place for unforgettable memories that will last forever.
Mark and Kathy Colgan purchased this house in 2016
We chose this home after spending many years renting in the Adirondack Mountains. We love being tucked into a little cove next to the lighthouse, so we can watch the boats go by - but they don't come close to the house. The 1/2 mile long and winding road from Rt 28 to camp engulfs you in quiet, green and peaceful serenity - the perfect mood for a vacation.
The layout of this camp is ideal for lake views…with abundant windows to view the beautiful lake from the kitchen, living room and master bedroom. While the floor plan is open and spacious, it’s practical too. We added a glass partition between the dinette area and living room to keep the view open but the sound between the rooms separate. This allows for games and cards to be played at the dinette table without disturbing others who wish to watch movies or read in the living room.
Like technology, TV and tunes? Our high speed Wi-Fi will allow you to be as connected to the world as you want to be. Additionally, you will love our 48-inch Sony “Smart TV” that allows you to access common subscription services like Netflix (just login with your credentials). And for some relaxing or fun music be sure to link your iPhone or Android phone to our awesome wireless Sonos Play 5 speaker system.
And the lot is great too! It’s ¾ of an acre, mostly flat with a grassy front yard and over 100 feet of sandy beachfront. Add the fire pit, stable dock, swim platform and views of Alger Island and you will be in love.
Sure, our camp has some great amenities but even more importantly, it has a lot of positive energy and great memories.
This camp is an ideal fit for our family!! Has all that you need for a relaxing and stress free vacation. Privacy is great but you are close to everything in Old Forge or Inlet. Going on our third year at the camp, we have enjoyed all that it has to offer - Kayaks, W/D, 4 bedrooms/2 baths, beautiful kitchen and nice spot on the Lake. Owners were kind and made sure we had all that we needed for a great vacation.
Our family spent a beautiful weekend at this wonderful camp! There were 4 ample bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and plenty of space for all of us. The updated kitchen was amazing - I didn't expect granite and stainless steel at an Adirondack camp! The lakefront is better than the numerous other homes we've rented in the area - private, large and with great serene views. The location was perfect between Old Forge, Eagle and Inlet. Our boys loved wading in and jumping in from the dock. We'll definitely be back!
Awesome place! Great waterfront, perfect for all sorts of water activities. Nice kitchen and living area, bedrooms were comfortable and has a great deck out front for entertaining.
Nice location with terrific waterfront area - large lawn, very nice dock and fire pit area. Overall, house is very much like a camp and very tight/small for the price. In my opinion, this is overpriced and too small for 8 people unless most of them are small children. New owners left a bag of cleaning supplies on the counter as a "welcome bag" with a list of cleaning expectations that seemed excessive for what we thought would be a much higher end property. They stated we needed to clean bathrooms on the checkout list! Not what we are used to with homes priced in this range. Overall, nice home in a great spot on good size waterfront yet overpriced for small house. Better suited for 4.
We had a fantastic stay at Casa Del Lago. The home's proximity to the lake, along with the accommodations within the home were excellent. Steve and Kelly were very attentive to making sure we were familiar with all the home had to offer before arriving. We definitely look forward to future vacations at this peaceful and tranquil home. Thanks Kelly and Steve.
Pristine and natural the Old Forge-Fulton Chain of Lakes area is beautiful and full of fun things to do. The village of Old Forge has great restaurants, many gift shops and of course - Water Safari, a theme park with water slides and other rides for family fun. “View,” is the new Old Forge Arts Center and has lots of rainy day activities from Yoga and Zumba to Paint on Pottery and Make Your Own Tie Die. There are two golf courses and a wonderful horseback-riding outfitter. The area boasts many outdoor activities including scenic boating, fishing, canoeing and kayaking and mountain climbing. There are two kennels if you need to be close to your pets. The Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake (only 30 min. away) has a tells the fascinating history of the Adirondacks and the Wild Center in Tupper Lake (1 hr, 15 min away) is an outdoor museum of Adirondack wildlife. You are close to grocery and liquor stores and there are farm markets in Eagle Bay (4 miles) on Thursdays and Old Forge (5 miles) on Fridays.
