This Is An Awesome Spot!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Gabriele’s two bedroom two bathroom apartment in the center of Rome for 11 wonderful days and nights.

It’s perfectly situated near the metro stop and bus stops. This apartment gives you a real good feel for life as a local. This is not a "touristy" type of place.

It allows for life as seen in the city. Think living in Manhattan.

Cafes and shops are within walking distance. But there's so much to see, the apartment for us was basically where we slept. Out of the house at sunrise, home to change for dinner. Serviced by great Uber drivers.

The apartment itself is spacious, VERY clean, and has everything you need for a relaxing Roman vacation.

Tip: Make sure your Netflix subscription is up to date or you'd better learn Italian! ;)

Gabriele greeted us when we arrived with a friendly smile and even a little wine and fruit to begin our vacation.

He was very helpful before we arrived, offering any information we requested.

He arranged for a taxi from the airport to the apartment which was a great touch. He is a wonderful host, and there wasn’t anything that we needed that was not already there.

We were thrilled with our stay, and definitely would recommend this apartment to anyone.

Thanks again, Gabriele.

Nice apartment

  • 5 of 5

Gabriele was a very communicative and attentive host. He made sure to keep in touch for our travel plans and was very flexible when we had a sudden change in our arrival time. He also left us some water bottles and candies in the apartment, which was a nice surprise. We really enjoyed the location because it was a short walk to a metro station and there were nearby stores and restaurants. We only spent two nights at this apartment but we enjoyed it and it met all our needs for a quick visit to Rome.

Awesome apartment. Just perfect!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this apartment for a week. Loved the neighborhood with all sorts of grocery, seafood, bakery, fruits and vegetable and gelato shops. The apartment is extremely comfortable, very safe and quiet for sleeping at night. Gabriele met us and got us settled in, even left us some fruit and orange juice. The San Giovanni metro is very close walk. Could not have asked for a better stay.

Family Vacation in Rome

  • 5 of 5

We had a great visit to Rome made even better by the hospitality of our host Gabriele. He secured taxis for us, had someone there to meet us in the apartment and gave recommendations about local restaurants. The place was clean and comfortable and exactly what we needed. The location was great. We could walk or easily jump on the metro or bus to any locale in the City. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice apartment close to Colosseum

  • 5 of 5

Family of 6 stayed here for one night. Very nice apartment. Good location if you're interested in visiting the Colosseum - it was a nice 15-20 min walk away. Gabriele was great. He explained where to find (and left a list of) restaurants, grocery stores, cafes, etc. and info about public transportation, which was very helpful. The apartment itself was very nice, clean, decorated nicely, etc. It's very close to the San G. METRO stop. I would just deduct 1/2 star for the sketchy-looking hall going up to the apartment. Otherwise, a very nice place. I would stay here again and very much recommend Gabriele's apartment.

Owner's Response: Thanks to you for being in my home, it was a pleasure to know you and I'm glad you enjoyed the house and the location. About the palace stairs to get to the house (fortunately there is a beautiful courtyard with lots of flowers and very well cared for), unfortunately I can not do anything because the house is in a great historic building and all the inhabitants should decide to renovate it is It's complicated to tune so many people .... Arrivederci.

In addition to enjoying a quiet and convenient location, from here you can also walk to the COLISEUM in 15 minutes and also walk along the famous Via Appia, full of supermarkets, local shops, considered today the longest display window of Europe, or you can head to the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano, the cathedral of the Diocese of Rome and the official ecclesiastical seat of the Pope, the one where the Pope acts as the bishop of Rome. It is the oldest church in the ground, as the first Christian place of worship officially recognized.

Ten minute walk along the Mura Laterane, you can reach the equally famous Basilica of Santa Croce in Gerusalemme, one of the seven churches of Rome that in the past the pilgrims had to walk in a day and where they are kept the relics of the cross.

If you want to take a walk in the countryside, being right in the center you can walk to the Parco della Caffarella. It is still an oasis where to find extraordinary landscape, archaeological and ecological green fields, monuments, houses, groves and ponds d with an extensive natural and architectural heritage not only for the people who live around there, but for the entire national community and academics from all over the world.
