Originally Wilbur Toner received this country cottage as a wedding gift from his neighbor and father-in-law, Gilbert Hunt. In the past century some of Walla Walla's most storied families have called this estate home. Stucco and false half-timber framing, German Beechwood floors, crystal chandeliers. Modern comforts include - kitchen with gourmet appliances, marble counter tops & butler pantry - surround sound in family/media room and patio. 2nd story - Jack and Jill bedrooms and bath - master suite w/walk-in closet, seating area, marble slab/tile in bath, heated bath floors and custom shower. 3rd story includes game/sitting room, 3 bd/1ba. Privately walled backyard with pool and spa, centurion trees, garden space, and cafe-style covered patio on nearly an acre in the middle of town. Fabulous home!

This charming, clean, beautifully appointed home was perfect for my husband and I to celebrate our 60th birthdays. There were 16 of us, each had their own bedroom and 2 couples shared each of the 4 bathrooms. Plenty of room for all and we thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor pool/hot tub and surrounding patio area. Located in a historic area surrounded by other beautiful old homes, this house was close to downtown Walla Walla (about a .7 mile walk) and a grocery store. The kitchen was fully equipped and we made all meals in. The only suggestion I would make is to provide more kitchen towels! The concierge who met us at the house was very helpful giving us a house tour and explaining all the details of locking up the house, operating the pool/hot tub, setting the thermostat, etc. She even gave us her cell number to call her if we had questions. When we did, she was very responsive. This was the perfect home base to do our two afternoons of wine tasting at local Walla Walla wineries. Highly recommend this home!

Beautiful home that exceeded our expectations!!! Loved it!!!

We were a group of 7 couples and 1 single adult, all 55+. The home is immaculate and beautifully maintained. Although we were a large group, we never felt crowded. There is ample room indoors and out. In fact several rooms (such as the formal dining room, den, etc.) were never used. We prepared 4 dinners during our stay and found the kitchen well-equipped and easy to work in. It would be wonderful to have an extra refrigerator in the mudroom or garage. We made it work by using ice chests for beverages. We also made use of the patio BBQ. The pool and hot tub were greatly appreciated as well.

The home is beautifully decorated with high quality bedding, comfy beds, and plenty of towels, with additional pool towels.

The mature landscaping and large lot make the backyard feel very private. Our only complaint is the neighbors dog (driveway side) that started barking every morning at 6:30. What a nuisance! Also, the bathroom situation was difficult at times since there was no easy access to the 2nd floor bathrooms (master & Jack & Jill bathrooms) for 3rd floor occupants if the 3rd floor bathroom was in use. This would most likely be less of a problem if multi-generational families rented the home as opposed to a large group of adults. The addition of an outdoor shower would be great!

Although we had 8 vehicles, parking was never an issue. Occasionally we had to shuffle them around a bit, but the ample parking was great! The proximity to downtown was perfect for a morning stroll to Starbucks. Property manager, Marysia, was very welcoming and did a wonderful job introducing us to the home and was always quick to respond when we had questions. All in all we had a spectacular time and hope to rent the home again!

Absolutely Spectacular!!! Everything we were hoping for & more!!!

The home was amazing! It's beautifully decorated & maintained with comfortable beds, quality linens, ample plush towels, (for both the pool & for bathing) etc. Having a washer & dryer available was handy. There were 15 adults sharing the home & we never felt the least bit crowded. In fact there were several rooms that were never used. The outdoor patio/pool area & large family room was where we spent the majority of time. Even though the home is in a traditional neighborhood, the over-sized lot & mature landscaping create a very private backyard with plenty of room for outdoor games, etc. We cooked/BBQ'd several of the nights & found the kitchen to be well-equipped. We could have used another refrigerator, but got by with ice chests for beverages. A second refrigerator, maybe in the mudroom or garage would be ideal. We were concerned we may have a parking issue as we had 8 cars, but there was ample space. It was occasionally necessary to shuffle cars around a bit, but it was never an issue.

With 7.5 couples the 4.5 bathrooms was somewhat of a problem at times, but we managed. We're planning to return, but will most likely have just 6 couples. An outdoor shower would be a wonderful addition!

Easy access to downtown (less than a 10 min walk) was ideal. We made several trips, as well as walking & jogging around the neighborhood.

We greatly appreciated property manager, Marysia's friendly welcome & quick response when we had questions.

The dog next door (driveway side) that started barking every morning at 6:30 was very annoying. Perhaps the neighbor could be contacted.

All in all, we had a wonderful stay. The home truly lives up to its description! Thank you Nick for sharing your beautiful property with us!

This is a beautiful old home with so many wonderful and unique rooms. The updates are current and the pool and hot tub are fantastic amenities. Our friends had stayed here previously and we all came back together this time. We'll do it again! Thank you Nick!

Love this house!

We stayed in this house for a second time over Presidents weekend with a large group and enjoyed it thoroughly again. The room and bathroom setup for our group of 14 was ideal, plenty of space for everyone. We also really enjoyed the kitchen and family room space, we cooked a few times (breakfast and dinner) during our stay and it's nice to have room in the kitchen for people to hang out and keep the cooks company. The main family room area is a great size for playing games. We were pleasantly surprised at the proximity to the Fat Duck Inn where we went for one of the BYOB dinners on Friday night, it's a 3 min walk around the block from the house, I'd highly recommend doing it. You can also easily walk downtown or to other dinner spots like Saffron if it's not raining. The house itself is well stocked with anything you'd need and is such a lovely rental. The property manager and owner are both wonderful to work with, highly recommend this house!
