About Wade and Julie Heaton

Our family has lived in the area for 20 years. We are raising our 6 children in this beautiful valley. We love this area and the people that call it home. We both are excited to share our love of the area with you and your family.

Wade and Julie Heaton purchased this lodge in 2014

Why Wade and Julie Heaton chose Utah

We have used this lodge for the past 10 years and when the owner approached us to buy it, we just couldn't say no! It is such a unique area and a unique property.

What makes this lodge unique

This is a real log home with some fantastic modern twists. The kitchen is great to make gourmet meals or simple staples to help you spend more time with the ones you love. There is lots of space with the open floor plan to accommodate just a few or a large crowd. We have a beautiful outdoor firepit to accommodate a large group along with a outdoor amphitheater with log benches. The lodge is located on 20 acres, providing lots of room for activities....including playing games on the 30,000 sf lawn, a sand volleyball court, a golf driving range, horseshoe pit or archery range. Or just sit on one of the two decks and enjoy the view and the quiet.

Beautiful, spacious lodge

  • 5 of 5

I traveled to Utah with a group of friends to run the Zion Half Marathon. We loved that the Alton Lodge could easily accommodate our large group (18 people) and that it was a fairly close drive to Zion and to Bryce. The lodge had everything we needed and the numerous fireplaces were so nice to relax by. While the weather wasn't great the first few days of our vacation, we realized on the last day that there's also a fantastic view from the living room! Finally, Julie was easy to communicate with and eager to make sure that our stay went well. We would definitely stay here again!

Best camp in 12 years

  • 5 of 5

Every expectation that we had was exceed!

Owners so nice and easy to talk with; the location is close to many attractions for various activities.

The property is stunning: very spacious, smart designed for usage, clean, comfortable, updated.

The pictures actually don't show the beauty as it really is.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all you could ever use.

We can't wait to return next year!

Great Family Reunion Location

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at the Alton Lodge for our family reunion. The accommodations were great, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our 4 generation group of 45 ranging in age from 5 months to 80 years. The main area was well set up and flowed from one area to another so our whole group didn't have to be in the living room but could spread out into the dining area and kitchen, too, and still feel like we were all together. There was plenty of seating for conversation; and with the extra folding chairs and tables we were all able to sit down to meals at the same time. The outdoor part was also great, plenty of room for the kids to go out and play, lots of seating on the decks for the adults, and a wonderful garden where we were able to get fresh vegetables to add to our meals, we just wish the strawberries had been ripe! The Lodge was clean and well maintained, and well supplied for the most part, we could have used a few extra towels and rolls of tp, luckily some of us had brought our own. Alton is a tiny town with no grocery shopping in town, so bring your supplies with you; it does have a nice park within easy walking distance. AIton Lodge was a wonderful location to just relax and get away from it all (some of our cell phones didn't have service but the wifi worked well); or to use as a base for excursions to Bryce, Zion, or Cedar Breaks, all of which most of us visited. We truly enjoyed our stay here. Thanks, Wade and Julie!
