I love historic architecture and fixing old buildings. I have lived in New York City and Amsterdam for most of the last ten years, but excited to be in Minneapolis. I love to bike, cross country ski and go out to restaurants.
Eliza purchased this apartment in 2012
Stayed 4 nights here with 5 other adults. Eliza's home is comfortable and in a quiet neighborhood. The furnishings are quite basic. The location is unbeatable for spending time at the Walker or at the city lakes.
The property was great. Nice rooms, very comfortable. Close to everything in downtown
We rented this property for two separate stays during one trip. On the positive, the place is unique and quaint in style and architecture. Convenient to city and freeways as well as shopping area. Nice neighborhood. Spacious for our family of 6. Comfortable beds. However, the place is not as clean or well maintained as I would have liked it. Although the place shows its age, I felt the bathtub/shower could have been maintained better to keep mold out of the caulking and the grout of the tile. A pile of debris that was swept into a corner was not picked up during cleaning. Sparse kitchen supplies. A couple of dirty kitchen items were found in the cupboards. The kitchen sponge appeared had been used by the previous renters. I would expect a new sponge and people use the kitchen sponge in different ways. The dishwasher was is disrepair, coming forward and loose out of its housing. Stairway down to laundry area was very unclean. Bedding that was similar to the bedding we had on our beds was thrown into a dirty corner which made me question the cleanliness of the bedding we had.
Enjoyed our stay. With a party of five (3 of which were kids) it proved spacious. Location was great for easy access to downtown and freeway (to visit The Mall of America). Older home with character which made it reminiscent.
We had a wonderful experience in the Twin Cities. This property was in the perfect location for all we wanted to do. We were within walking distance to Target Field, Sculpture Gardens and the bike paths around the chain of lakes. Beautiful old homes and great restaurants are right nearby as well. Eliza was so accommodating and great to work with. Highly recommend staying here!
