Why Kay Knight - Manager, Chastain Knight Properties, LLC chose Amelia Island
We have loved Amelia for many years!! I first came to Fernandina as a child to camp at Fort Clinch and visit relatives. We begin vacationing at Amelia as a young married couple and even named our second child Amelia because this beautiful island means so much to us.
What makes this Villa unique
The beach here is wonderful for collecting shells and sharks teeth. Amelia Island Plantation is well known for its live oak canopy and preservation of the natural setting. Amelia Island State Park adjoins the Plantation and provides a large undeveloped area for the beach walker to explore. We have regularly seen bald eagles, osprey, roseate spoonbills, wood storks, to name just a few of the bird species present in large numbers at the resort. We enjoy watching schools of dolphin feeding from our patio, living, and dining room areas. Walking and biking trails are abundant throughout the resort. There is an indian burial mound on the marsh side of the island on one of the walking trails. Amelia Island Plantation is truly a nature lover's destination. For those of you with small children, there is an amazing playground with a pirate ship fort hidden among the oaks.

NICE, QUIET, RELAXING BEACH CONDO
It was our first time to Amelia Island. The Plantation and the rest of the island felt very safe. It was more laid back than some other popular beach destinations. We loved the island and town of Fernandina Beach.
The condo was spacious with plenty of space, beds, baths, and seating for our group of 9. It was tastefully decorated. Even though the building itself isn't new, the unit felt up-to-date and clean. The provided beach furniture and bicycles were a nice addition also. The landscaping was also top notch. The walk to the beach was slightly longer than other beachfront units I have seen (a golf fairway lies between the condo and beach), but it wasn't a big deal.
The beach itself was not very crowded, especially considering it was the week before July 4th. The beach was wide with plenty of room from the dune to the water, no matter the tide. I liked the lack of crowds on the beach. There were enough people to "people watch", but never so many that it seemed crowded or that people were encroaching on us.
The bicycle trails throughout the Plantation and island were great. Even though the weather was hot, the shade of the trees along with the breeze made biking enjoyable. The old downtown Center St in Fernandina Beach is where we ate almost every night, and really enjoyed the food, history, and atmosphere.
I would highly recommend this condo and Amelia Island. It is a great place for a relaxing, family vacation!!!
Beautiful property with a brilliant view
We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything is included and available - beach towels, beach chairs, bikes. The walk to the beach is just a quick walk across one of the fairways. The place was updated probably within the last 5i-10 years with upscale furniture etc. The only opportunity for a quick improvement would be fixing the shower head in the master bath - there was almost no water coming out of it - replacing the grout on the shower doors and cleaning out the drains.
I am pleased you enjoyed our home. I agree, the views are "brilliant"! I'm sorry you had issues with our shower. The shower head was new and contained a water flow restrictor. A new feature most new water appliances contain to restrict the use of water. We have removed that and the new shower head is working beautifully! I hate the drains weren't in good order. I assure you, we do check and clean them regularly. I hope you will keep us in mind for future vacations.
This condo is an excellent find. The owner is wonderful to work with, answered all questions. She returns calls promptly. We had a sister reunion and found the location to be exactly what we needed.
The property is well kept. The condo was immaculate, the beds very comfortable. The bed linens were top of the line. The grounds and pool area are great as well as the views from the condo.
We would definitely rent this unit again.
Excellent condo in a great location!
We had a wonderful week. The condo was lovely and worked perfectly for spring break with 5 adult children and ourselves. Kay was very responsive. The weather was a bit chilly but we had plenty to do. The restaurants were great. Mini golf walks on the beach. Pool right outside. Great balcony overlooking the ocean. We would definitely return.
This was a fabulous condo, and the resort is relaxing and beautiful. Will be going back! Great for kids and grandkids.
