Spacious and Beautiful Vacation Getaway - Bryce, Grand Staircase Panoramic Views

Bedrooms 2
Property type farmhouse

Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday farmhouse in Henrieville - Sunrise Hollow

Better than the best hotels in the area; 1800 sf rustic style, beauty, & comfort

Watch the first pink rays of sunrise light up the rim of Bryce Canyon as you gaze out the lofty windows of this spacious second-story vacation suite. Situated in the heart of peaceful Henrieville valley, this large farm home is nestled between its own little creek and mini-wilderness area on one side and tranquil farm land on the other.

Just off Scenic Highway 12, down a private gravel drive and past grandpa’s old pasture, you’ll pass through beautiful flower and vegetable gardens and park in the rear of the home. You’ll have private outside stairway access to the suite with its many windows and panoramic mountain views. The entire 1800 square foot second floor of this large home is yours to enjoy.

The suite’s open floor plan creates a casual, relaxing atmosphere that will accommodate your entire family or group in comfort—or keep the entire suite for just the two of you! Vaulted ceilings, faux antique walls, knotty aspen ceilings, and rustic post and beam accents provide a spacious, homey feeling throughout. You can cook your own meals in the fully furnished kitchen, or eat out at one of several seasonal restaurants a few miles away. You’ll find the two full baths and washer/dryer handy for cleaning up after a long day of outdoor excitement.

When you return to the house to rest from your adventures, curl up on the comfortable couches in the great room to watch a favorite movie on the flat-screen TV and DVD player, or surf the web and send pictures of your unforgettable experiences to your friends and family at home using the free wi-fi access. The north bedroom features a fun play area the little kids will love to come home to. The playroom area also allows extra sleeping space on the floor.

The grounds around this home include a large, grassy area for your recreational use. Kids will enjoy playing games on the grass, going down the sixteen-foot tube slide, or exploring the nearby creek. Soak in the ambiance of warm summer evenings around the outdoor fire pit as you toast marshmallows and watch the stars appear. Your memories of this rural home setting will make you want to return again and again!

Located in the center of Utah’s red rock country, you will find some of the most breathtaking views in America within easy driving distance. In addition to seeing the wonders of Bryce Canyon National Park and the Grand Staircase National Monument, several interesting State parks are nearby. Many outdoor activities are also available in the area, such as hiking trails and slot canyons, biking, canyoneering, horseback riding, fishing, wildlife viewing, and ATV tours.

Here is what a recent guest had to say:

"Located quite close to the entrance to Bryce Canyon National Park, this inexpensive accommodation is a rare find. Although it is visible from Route 12, you have NO sense that you are anywhere near a highway once you arrive. The panoramic scenery is complex, sweeping, and riveting. Stellar jays with bold blue bellies, jet black magpies with stark white wings, and tangerine meadowlarks greet you as you drive along the country lane to Sunrise Hollow. Cottontail rabbits dot the lawn, and the moonlight on the landscape at night is mesmerizing. And stargazing on moonless nights here is fabulous!

Once you are inside, you have the entire top floor of a large house to yourselves. The design is original, highly sophisticated, expertly realized, and meticulously finished. Milt and Brenda Rose, most gracious hosts, designed it themselves and completed most of the work on their own. The results are stunning. You are far from the madding crowd, briefly experiencing life on what is literally an extended family farm with every modern amenity at your fingertips. Yet you can jump on the highway and be at Bryce in a nonce. Skip even the 'better' hotels in this area for a genuine and deeply satisfying stay at one sweet slice of heaven. -Dr. Gina Higgins, Marblehead, MA · May 2015"

Why Milt and Brenda Rose chose Utah

We built our home here about 6 years ago, and the upstairs addition was just finished last fall (2014). Our home is located on what used to be the Rose family farm of approximately 70 acres. I (Milt) grew up here, working the farm as a youngster with my dad and brothers. The farm has long since been divided up among family members, and the old corrals and barn in the hollow next to our home (Sunrise Hollow) had to be torn down, but the area still retains its peaceful atmosphere. Most of our 20 acres lie to the south of the house and consist of wild thickets and brush. The property is bounded 1/2 mile to the south by Henrieville Creek and is bisected near the house by another small creek locals refer to as Henrieville Wash.

Awesome time away from it all

We had an awesome time visiting the area. The accommodations were more than we could expect with a large, fun layout fully stocked for us. We've visited many rental properties and this one takes the cake for being move-in ready. Our girls are already asking when they can come back and play on the gigantic slide.

Beautiful landscape, comfortable and spacious

  • 5 of 5

We used this location as our home base while we explored Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon, rafted on Glen Canyon and checked out Scenic Byway 12. It was a perfect spot from which to set out each day, with views of canyon walls and grazing mule deer just outside our door. We particularly liked hearing a rooster crow at dawn every day - something we hadn't experienced in a very long time.

Milt and Brenda have made this a comfortable and roomy location, with good cooking facilities at hand. Milt was very helpful and provided some good advice on the best routes for traveling the local roads (as opposed to what your GPS might suggest).

A very enjoyable stay - we will recommend it, especially if you're looking for a reasonable spot for a family vacation; it easily sleeps 8 - 10 people comfortably.

The four of us loved our stay at this beautiful home. It's an ideal set-up for two couples and met - no exceeded - our expectations. Close to Bryce yet far enough to be quiet and serene. Be sure to enjoy the amazing night sky. Thanks, Milt and Brenda.

Incredible deal so close to Bryce Canyon National Park.

  • 5 of 5

We were able to spend time in Bryce Canyon National Park during the day, check into this VRBO and return to the park for sunset pictures. Because it is so close to the park, we were able to return before dawn and take sunrise pictures as well. While in the VRBO, we had plenty of room, were able to watch a movie and cook a meal in the kitchen. We had a great time and will definitely stay here again when we return to Bryce Canyon National Park.

Lovely property with everything you need.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed two nights and had a perfect time. The apartment has everything you need and is located near Bryce and Kodachrome State Park.

The property is well-maintained, clean and located on a lovely piece of land where star gazing and the sunrise and sunset is visible from both

ends of the house. I would highly recommend this property to friends and families.
