About Francesco Ricci

I'm a civil lawyer. I studied in Villa Flaminia private school ( and I got my degree on law in the 1997. Then i worked for 1 year in London, before moving to Brescia where I started working in a German law firma. Since 2003 I'm back in Rome, my town. I lived in this apartment with my family till June 2013, then we moved to a villa with garden at the seaside (30 km far from Rome).

Francesco Ricci purchased this apartment in 1935

Why Francesco Ricci chose Rome

My family owns this apartment and the one behind since the 1951. We also have a private car box (rare in Rome) for our guests. There is a porter living in the building. Two elevators. Parioli area has several advantages: quiet, green, close and well connected to the centre. Shops, restaurants, bars, parks, sports centre, metro, bus, taxi, Auditorium, Stadio Flaminio, museums, schools, hospitals, whatever you need is at a walking distance. Police station is in front of the second entrance of the building, so it's very safe. I grew up in this apartment and my daughter as well so it's very important to me to make our guests feeling very comfortable here.

What makes this apartment unique

Amazing view from balcony and living room, luxury and huge living room decorated with ancient paintings, magnificent wood library, boiserie and wood and crystal door, rooms are very comfortable as well as the two big bathrooms. Kitchen is big with a dining table, dish and cloth wash machine. Renovated on march/april 2014. PLUS FROM THE BALCONY YOU CAN ENJOY A FANTASTIC VIEW OF THE FIREWORKS AT THE NEW YEAR'S EVE. Guests will find at their arrival a good bottle of wine and we'll be grateful to meet you and give you information you would need.

The FILM FESTIVAL OF ROME takes place on October at the Auditorium which is only 100 meters from the apartment:

Fabulous location

  • 5 of 5

I cannot say enough nice things about Francesco. We stayed at his place for 3 months, and any issue...including helping us to rent cars ...Francesco was there! His responsiveness and level of service is outstanding. The location is very convenient, especially if you are in Rome for a longer stay. We had a marvelous time, and would absolutely return if we ever come back to Rome! Thank you Francesco!

10 stars is more accurate

Our family (my husband, 2 young adults & I) stayed at Francesco's flat for 8 nights in Sept 2015.

We would go back in a hot second. From start to finish everything was great.

1. Communication with Francesco was quick, efficient and to the point from our first inquiry.

2. Payment was easy & our damage deposit was returned very quickly.

3. Francesco was an extremely generous host, consistently going above and beyond the expected.

*He booked our airport transportation for us, both ways.

*He took the time to offer suggestions and answer questions both prior to our arrival and throughout our stay.

*We arrived in Rome late in the evening. Francesco managed the communication between us and the airport transport driver via text. Even though it was late he met us at the flat and took the time to walk us through and explain all the necessary details.

*We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and supplies for the morning: coffee, tea, fruit, bread/jam for toast.

*During our stay I pestered Francesco with questions and he always replied quickly and graciously.

*After asking Francesco about an internet cafe to print out some trip vouchers etc...he offered to print the documents out for us and delivered them to the apartment.

* We were provided with a very thorough information sheet w/ all the details regarding the apartment. There was info regarding transportation, places to eat and tourist information.

*Francesco provided us with a map. The apartment circled on the map as a reference point and other places in the area noted (markets, etc).

The list goes on but I will stop there.

4. The flat and building are amazing. The other tenants were friendly & helpful. Francesco's flat is truly a lovely home. Spacious, comfortable, immaculately clean, spacious, well stocked, beautifully furnished & decorated, a wonderful terrace which we used every day, 2 sets of keys provided, did I say spacious. We ate a number of meals at home and the kitchen had everything we needed. This was really a dream rental from every perspective.

5. Location--The flat is in a neighborhood NW of the tourist areas. I was concerned about this choice but it turned out great. We quickly picked up getting around. The bus stop is right out the front door & a train/metro station a few blocks away. Easy & convenient. It was a relief to get out of crowded tourist areas & come back to our flat after long days exploring this amazing city. ATM & lots of cafes within 1-2 blocks. Thank you, Francesco!

Wonderful

  • 5 of 5

We were very happy at Francesco's flat: quiet, spacious, air/cond, great views, nicely furnished and easy to get around Rome. Wonderful help from his Ecuadorian maid, who also did our laundry for a little extra.

Francesco gave us a terrific list of things to do and places to visit, as well as restaurant tips.

Will happily go back and recommend to friends.

Terrific!

  • 5 of 5

What a terrific apartment for a week in Rome! It had everything we needed, space to spread out, a grand view, a full service kitchen a place to gather with friends several quiet reading places and a washer dryer. We couldn't have asked for more. Parioli is a beautiful and quiet part of Rome which was perfect for us. It was so easy to get a taxi or train to any other part of the city we wanted to get to/from. Staying at Francesco's was a treat! Far better than staying in a hotel and for a comperable price.

Ica Apartment is the perfect vacation rental for families with children or a group of friends who want to come to Rome for living the city as the Romans do.

Located in a very quiet street of the prestigious Parioli neighborhood, this flat is perfectly connected with metro (the station 'Euclide' is just 2 minutes walk and 1 stop only from Piazza del Popolo) and buses (bus #52 takes you directly to Trevi's Fountain and near by the main sites; bus #910 takes you directly to Termini Central Station). Also a Taxi Station is just 80m from the apartment.

Its strategic location offers plenty of options to our guests beside reaching easily the main monuments and archaeological sights.

The Auditorium and Music Park is just 80 metres from the building second entrance in Via G. del Monte, as well as he Park of Villa Glory (perfect for a walk in the green, for jogging or riding a horse or taking a coffe in the cosy bar and for children). The National Gallery of Modern Arts, the MAXXI (the brand new museum of contemporary arts) is at a walking distance (800m).

Also the famous Museum of Galleria Borghese is just 2km from the flat.

Finally, the area is full of great and famous restaurants, cake shops and bars (LE-Euclide, il Cigno) as well as wine and cocktail bars.
