Photos and Description of this 4 bedroom holiday cabin in Moab - Bear Hollow Lodge

4 bed, 4 bath, sleeps 10

Bear Hollow Lodge is approx 30 miles East from Moab, Utah located in the North end of the Manti La Sal Mtns. The last 2 or 3 miles are dirt roads and I would suggest some type of SUV for this part of the trip. (some guests have driven their cars but the road can be rough at times) This private getaway is perfect for someone looking for a corp retreat, family reunion, back country horsemen, atving, fishing, hiking and just plain fun. Drive time to Moab and Arches National Park is approx 1 one hour dropping down from the Majestic La Sal mountains, thur Castle Valley and onto Scenic Hwy 128,

The cabin is equiped with top of the line kitchen applinances i.e. dishwaher, frig, micro wave, spacious counter tops complete with dishes and utensils.

Their is a cover deck 3/4 of the way over looking the forest. The lodge is along side Castle Creek which runs the full length of the property. If you are horse lovers, mtn bikers, hikers or here to enjoy the National Parks but don't want to be surrounded by others this property is the place for you.

The lodge has a bedroom in the loft (sofa sleeper) with an outside private deck and your own walkin jetted shower and bathroom.

The master bedroom (log style double bed) is on the main floor complete with a whirlpool tub as well as walk in shower with jets. This bedroom comes complete with access to the outside deck directly from your bedroom.

The second bedroom on the main floor (log style double bed) has it's own walk in shower and bathroom, with access to the outside deck as well.

Down stairs on the ground level is the remaining bedroom with a Log style Queen size bed and sofa sleeper. This bedroom also comes with a walkin shower and spacious bathroom.

All the counter tops throughout the lodge are stamped cement which adds to the rustic nature of the property.

The Great room features a massive rock fireplace and a spectacular chandeler. The views of the forest are unobstructed due to the glass wall leading out to the deck.

You will be treated to the stary night sky, milky way and shooting stars or if you are one of the lucky guests to experience a full moon, there is nothing like it any where.

Wildlife on the Manti La Sal Mtns is always a special treat and something everyone should experience. The lodge is close to Don's and Hidden Lake, stocked with Rainbow trout and always great to eat and fun to catch.

Parking is not a problem but I would suggest driving an SUV on the mtn roads they can become muddy if we get rain. The last part of the trip is about 2 or 3 miles of dirt roads.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me any time.

Peace and serenity; Minutees away from all the tourist places; Wonderful

Excellent!! Sandy is one of the best host and her place is one of the best we stayed. We were a group of 10 and rented her place during the July 4th weekend and had a wonderful time. She was kind enough to wait for us as we were running a little late and she also provided information about some beautiful tourist spots. This wonderful vacation home is around 30 minutes drive from Moab, UT and is very peaceful. The stargazing from castle valley was amazing. It was pretty cloud during our visit but we did had a clear sky on the last evening and really enjoyed gazing at the clear stars and milky way. Every thing is few minutes drive away and this place is secluded and exactly what we needed from our busy lives. There were few deer on the property and a small creek that flows right next to the property, it was very peaceful atmosphere. The last 2 miles to the home is off-road and a SUV is preferred if it rains. The dinosaur foot prints is just 2 or 3 miles from the property. Thank you very much sandy for your great hospitality.

What a beautiful home. Our 2 families (4adts/3chd 16,15,9) absolutely loved your home. Thank you Sandy for sharing your home, so much detail and love was put into constructing and decorating it. The drive up the mountain was breathtaking. As you advised a 4 wheel drive vehicle is a must to travel the dirt roads and cross the creek. We loved the seclusion and peacefulness. We enjoyed the fire pit outside every night while looking at the stars. The wrap around porch is great. The kids hung their enos out there. The inside is beautiful, there was plenty of space for all of us. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were great with the walk in showers and the jacuzzu tub in one of the bedrooms was wonderful. Everything was provided we only needed to bring our food which we got at the market in Moab before going up to the house. Thank you for telling us about the dinosaur tracks near by that was so much fun we all enjoyed that. The cows grazing around were fun to watch. We even saw a mule deer by the house. The area is so diverese one minute you are in a mountain with snow on its peaks surrounded by forest and once you come down its a variety of rock formations that are amazing. We loved Moab Brewery thanks for the suggestion. We went rafting on the Colorado river with Moab adventures which was awesome. One family went horseback riding at Red Cliffs lodge which was beautiful and we (with the 16 yr old son) took a RZR tour with high point hummers and atv which was very cool. We really enjoyed seeing this part of the country, our accommodations were great and we will have lasting memories of this trip.

Great remote getaway

  • 5 of 5

Sandy, thank you so much for offering your house for us Louisiana folks. The house was extremely clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen for the meals we enjoyed at the house. We were able to visit Arches National Park and Canyonlands, both were absolutely breath taking. For those that want remote, this is the place to be. The running stream running down by the property was soooo relaxing. We did get to see a couple of deer the last day of our stay. Sandy you are a wonderful host and very helpful. We really enjoyed visiting with you and we feel we have a new Utah friend.

Thank you, this will be our most memorable vacations.😎򓠊

Beautiful, secluded cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved staying at Sandy's cabin! She has a beautiful home, equipped with everything you need for a great time. Sandy is incredibly nice, and she made us feel right at home - even meeting us in town to take us up for the first time. The reviews and property descriptions are spot on!

Thank you for letting us stay at your cabin Sandy!

BETTER than Expectations!

  • 5 of 5

Our visit to the house was fantastic! It is very secluded, with lots of beautiful forest surrounding the property. The house was much larger than I anticipated, which I feel is important to mention because it tends to work out the other way around typically. The house itself is absolutely beautiful with all the amenities you'll need, very cozy/homey, and has great finishes throughout. It is an hour out of Moab, but that is what we were looking for. Would definitely recommend this for your stay and will consider it for future stays myself! Sandy is a great owner!

The Lodge is located 1 hours drive from Moab, Utah and Arches National Park. Castleton tower is world famous for its Chevy commercials in the 60's and 70's. Fisher towers is another great hiking adventure within 25 mins drive. The Manti La Sal is the 2nd highest mountain range in the State of Utah. You will find all kinds of wildlife from Bald Eagles to Mule tail deer. Fishing is available close by (Don's & Hidden Lake) Mountain biking on the La Sal has become a favorite sport especially during the hot summer days in Moab. You will enjoy the cool mountain air and you come up out of the desert red rock country. ATVing and 4 wheeling is also a favorite for those who are looking for more action, but there are hundreds of hiking trails as well as back country horse trails. Don't forget to stop by and see the dinosaur tracks that are a short distance by car from the lodge. The tracks lead right off the canyon wall. You will be hard pressed to find any tracks that are better and up close and personal as these. If you love the outdoors you will love this location, it can not be beat!
