Comfortable 2 Bedroom+, 3 Bath Home For 6. Mountain Views And Peaceful Setting.

Mountain Pines is a spacious 2 level hillside home on 1+ acre with trees, rock outcroppings, and amazing views. Wildlife such as deer, elk, bobcat, coyote, and an occasional bear frequent the property.

We are conveniently located to area attractions and just minutes from downtown Estes Park for shopping and dining and Rocky Mountain National Park with it's world class hiking and scenery.

Our home features 2 bedrooms with an additional sleeping area in the lower level family room (all with queen beds) and can sleep 6 comfortably. 3 bathrooms mean no waiting in line. The open living, kitchen, and dining area with a wood burning fireplace make it fun and easy to be together.

Relax and enjoy great views of Twin Sisters Peak, Prospect Mountain and the valley below on our spacious wraparound deck with outdoor seating and a gas grill.

About Patti and Greg Glasgow

We moved to Estes Park in 1993 to live and play in the mountains of Colorado. We love hiking, camping, and backpacking. We designed and built this home in 1999 and feel grateful to live in this beautiful place.

Why Patti and Greg Glasgow chose Estes Park

We chose this location because of the beautiful, framed view of Twin Sisters Peak and the convenient access to everything. We love the big pine trees and all of the wildlife we see here. We also like sitting on the deck for a relaxing meal in the warmer months. There is over an acre of land which allows for space and privacy, and room for the wildlife to pass through. We are still close to town for shopping and eating out. Also, Rocky Mountain National Park is just minutes from here without having to drive through town. Very convenient, especially in the summer months.

What makes this house unique

Peaceful, quiet setting with great views on 1+ acre of land. Frequent wildlife such as deer, elk, and bobcat. Convenient access to Rocky Mountain National Park and the town of Estes Park. Hike up Prospect Mountain (8900') from our home for panoramic views of the continental divide and surrounding area.

  • The master bedroom is on the main level with a new queen bed (2013), pine nightstands and chest. Two windows with views of Prospect Mountain and large ponderosa pines. The bathroom is conveniently located just outside the bedroom and features a soaking tub and tile shower. The second bedroom is downstairs with a queen pillow top bed and a connecting full bath. It also has a large window with views of ponderosa pines. There is a third queen bed with a new memory foam mattress (2013) in the downstairs family area with a separate bathroom located down a short hallway. There is a large picture window and access to the lower level patio.

Wonderful stay!

Very comfortable and clean. The views were amazing. It was the perfect place to come home to after a day of hiking in RMNP. The kitchen was well stocked with high end appliances. We enjoyed cooking in the evenings and eating out on the deck. Very easy access to the town of Estes Park. Would definitely visit this property again.

Perfect cabin for hiking vacation!

My family and I had a wonderful time at the Glasgow's cabin. Clean and updated, with plenty of room for our group of 5. Great mountain views from every window, and the deck was the perfect place to relax each morning and each evening, after a long day of hiking in RMNP. The location is ideal; close to town but away from the congestion of downtown Estes Park. Thank you for sharing your home and making it a key part of a great vacation.

The house was beautiful. It was perfect for our family. We love Estes Park and it was so nice to visit again. The house was in great condition. We saw a bobcat as well as many deer around the house. The humming birds were very friendly as well. We loved sitting on the balcony in the morning and watching the sun come up over the mountains! The owners provided great info in a notebook. We would absolutely recommend this house to others. The pictures on the VBRO site were an exact description of the house both inside and out. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Beautiful view in quiet location

We really enjoyed our stay while visiting Rocky Mountain National Park. The home was very clean with a lovely view, and the location provided quick, easy access to the Beaver Meadows park entrance. We hiked in the park every day and enjoyed many local restaurants. It was a beautiful week long celebration of our 25th anniversary! Something I didn't realize when we booked is that the home has three full bathrooms. We had another couple join us for the first half of the week and having two baths in the basement and one up was really nice. We would most definitely stay here again!

Perfect Colorado Mountain vacation rental.

We rented this home for 7 days. We had 5 adults in our group with 2 friends who visited regularly. The home was perfect. We ate almost every evening meal here and the kitchen was very well stocked with all needed cooking items, nice dinnerware and utensils along with a large table with great views. Each bedroom had its own nice bathroom with shower. Home was very clean and well maintained. A very nice T.V. was located down stairs with several movies to choose from along with Dish Network and a comfy couch. The view from the deck was great and there was a nice area to wander around the rocks. We had regular deer visitors most days, fun to watch from the deck. Greg and Patti were both great to work with from beginning to end. We will definitely visit them again, great experience! Highly recommend this property.

Great place, wonderful views, nice location, good layout

Really enjoyed our time here. There are some lower rent houses in Estes Park and you never know the conditions till you get there. This place is excellent. Very clean, well maintained, nice amenities and great layout. Really like the open kitchen/living/dining for group discussions. We had 5 adults including one couple and it worked perfectly for us. Love the views from the cabin and having breakfast on the deck. Close to RMNP and lake Estes without having to go thru downtown Estes. The only odd thing was the TV was in the family room downstairs but we watched it so little with all the hiking we did it wasn't an issue. Owners were very courteous and helpful!

We are located in Estes Park, gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. Must do activities include hiking some of the more than 300 miles of trails in the National Park. Some favorites are any of the trails out of the Bear Lake and Moraine Park areas. The free Park Shuttle Bus System operates in this area from late May through early October and is convenient and easy to use. Check with the Park Service for detailed route and schedule information. Taking a free Ranger Guided Hike is a fun and informative way to get to know the National Park. Pick up a Park newspaper at any visitor center or entrance station for more information. The entrance fee for the Park is $30 per vehicle and is valid for 7 days. A bargain! Other outdoor activities include horseback riding, flyfishing, rock climbing, and photography. Many outfitters are available to assist with these and other activities.

Climbing Longs Peak (14,259') is a goal of many who visit this area. This is a serious hike that involves some rock scrambling and should not be taken lightly. Careful planning and proper conditioning are a must.

No visit is complete without a journey up Trail Ridge Road, usually open by Memorial Day weekend. This paved road tops out at over 12,000' and has several overlooks with spectacular views. Stop at the Trail Ridge Store and Alpine Visitor Center (11,796') then return, or continue on to Grand Lake and back for a full day of exploration.

The town of Estes Park hosts several festivals and events throughout the summer and also has lots of shops and restaurants. Insider tip: Park at the fairgrounds and ride the free shuttle to the Visitor Center. From there it is a short walk to Elkhorn Ave. and the Riverwalk. You can also catch the shuttle bus into the National Park from the Visitor Center. Stop in at the Estes Park Visitor Center.

Other activities might include a walk or bicycle ride around Lake Estes, a boat rental at the Marina, or a round of golf. Bicycles can be rented at Estes Park Mountain Shop just below the Lake Estes dam. They also rent flyfishing gear, guide trips, and have an indoor climbing gym (great fun for kids and adults).

A hike up Prospect Mountain (8900') from our front door affords panoramic views of the Continental Divide and the Estes Valley. This moderate hike with no crowds is well worth the effort and easily accessed through our neighborhood.

Of course you can always just relax and enjoy the views from our deck. Ahhhh.
