Luxury Waterfront Home in Small Town Florida near Hudson Beach - Home of the Hit TV Show 'Catching Hell' (about spearfishing off the coast of Hudson). Beautifully furnished three bedroom home with Large Enclosed Porch overlooking Gulf Access Canal. Two docks, 10 minutes to open water, 150 feet of seawall, great fishing from dock. Fully furnished kitchen, Central air, BBQ grill, patio furniture, bicycles, paddle boat, johnny boat for in-canal use, swim dock and ladder, cable TV and WIFI. Keep an eye out for the dolphins that visit regularly! Our slice of paradise is ready and waiting for your use.

Hudson is a great small town - with fun restaurants, plenty of services nearby - and 45 minutes from the Tampa airport.

Beautiful Home on the gulf

really enjoyed our stay. everything was perfect. would love to go again. decor was beautiful,location was great. loved having a garage to pull into every night. The dining was great. close to everything but yet a small town feel. Thanks so much , it was really wonderful.

This is a wonderful house for your vacation.

We are repeat renters because we enjoy the area and the house is large and nicely furnished. It is very comfortable and in a beautiful spot on the intersection of two canals.

I rent fish camps that are in better shape and much cleaner than this rental.

The owner did not bring in a cleaning person after the last renter"as the renters assured him the house was clean". The sheets had not even been changed, the microwave looked like a bomb had gone off on in it, the mirrors were completely spotted and the carpet was stained in many places. The toilet was broken and the vacuum beater did not work. The dryer kept running after the door was opened. There was a box of rat poison hidden under a plastic floral arrangement on the nightstand nest to the master bed.

The owner did replace the toilets,washer and dryer and vacuum. However it took over a week for the toilets and the washer and dryer and longer for the vacuum. The replacement process cost me over 14 hours of my vacation waiting for appointments and for the work to be done. In my estimation the owner was well aware that the toilets and the washer and dryer needed to be replaced long before I showed up. His answer to the carpet stains was that he had the carpet cleaned six months ago and "if it really bothered me I could use a stain removing spray."

The owner also advertised one could tie there boat up to the dock. Statement is true but misleading as the only time you could get in and out of your boat was at high tide. The floating dock that was pictured was not working.

All in I was quite disappointed in this rental and would not recommend its use.

Owner's Response: We are so sad that we have an unhappy customer, after what we felt were "above and beyond" efforts to resolve their issues. We have YEARS of excellent reviews at our home that IS TRULY OUR slice of paradise. Comments from the past that "everything is provided" "the home was clean and ready for us" and "all is JUST as advertised" is the experience that 95% of our visitors have had. We also have 3 families that returned multiple times to our home, which tells us that we are providing a GREAT VALUE on the waterfront. This newer waterfront home is built on stilts with breakaway walls in case of storm surge w/drain vents open to the garage area - sealed mouse bait traps are in garage to ensure rodents don't make a home. We do not put traps upstairs & we have NEVER noticed any rodents in the living areas. Perhaps a trap could have been hidden years ago when we would be absent for 5 to 6 months at a time? No longer the case. Our previous customer didn't put the keys back in the lockbox as instructed. Our FANTASTIC cleaning service couldn't get access to clean the day before arrival. Locksmith resolved the situation & the next day our customer arrived. They were upset the home hadn't been cleaned, I planned the cleaning service for the next day, customer said it wasn't that bad & wasn't necessary - I replied relief as previous customer ensured us it was clean. 2 months later we view a post on VRBO it was worse than fishing camps they've stayed in. We COULD NOT HAVE MANY YEARS of EXCELLENT REVIEWS, with the NICEST HOME IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD, FULLY APPOINTED with GREAT ART, FURNISHINGS and AMENITIES, IF THAT STATEMENT WAS TRUE. I do not understand why they declined the offer for a full cleaning, albeit three days late. This apparently set a bad taste in their mouth - our customer later became verbally abusive when concerns were raised with a toilet seat being loose and the vacuum cleaner not working to their satisfaction. I promptly arranged for the 10 year old toilets to be upgraded to top quality Am Std Champion toilets and ordered a high quality vacuum (whose delivery was delayed 1 wk by supplier). When they complained about the dryer door (1st time we had any complaint) immediate replacement with top quality brand new washer/dryer was made. We have moored our 30 ft boat for over 10 years at our dock, neighbors all have 20-35 ft boats, how the canals are not low tide navigable is news to all of Sea Ranch. All captains are cautious at few EXTREME low tide

Nice property

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The house was nicely decorated and the view of the water was refreshing. I would of gave it a five star but a few things could be improved upon. The kitchen light and a few plug outlets weren't working properly. We like to fish and the patio on the water was one of the main reasons I rented this house. There were several fishing poles provided in the garage but only two were usable. We ended up buying a new one and reel for another one, so now, the next guests will have a few usable rods to use. The location is really quiet even on the weekends. Its a nice relaxing place to stay with plenty of room. I would definitely recommend it to others but if you don't do stairs well, this is not the place for you. My parents got tired of going up and down the stairs but enjoyed their stay.

Nicest House on the block

The house was fantastic . It was everything the owner described and more. On most days my girlfriend paddle boarded well I went fishing off the dock . The house had everything you could think of and some things that you probably didn't . Shopping do you need us for food which was five minutes away . I chartered a boat with a company called Means of Egress, which I highly recommend . Captain was knowledgeable, attentive and reasonably priced . My only concern was the town of Hudson describe a sk my only concern was the town of Hudson describe as sketchy . We found the people were not very friendly. Also there no true beaches anywhere. We strongly recommend you do research on Hudson specifically shopping and dining. Once again the house was fantastic and very reasonable.
