The Plain, High Street, Deer Park, Botanical Gardens and Magdalen College are all just around the corner. The property is well equipped with modern furnishings and fittings, providing an ideal comfortable base for central Oxford.

This town house is decorated and furnished to a high standard throughout, promising you a high level of convenience and comfort. All furniture, electrical goods and kitchen equipment is of a very good quality and well maintained. Soft furnishings and linen are of an excellent standard, making this property feel especially comfortable and welcoming. It has very good access to the local transport network and local amenities. Compact and comfortable accommodation throughout.

The property is fully furnished and equipped and the tariff includes a weekly linen & towel change, heating, lighting, water, electricity, council taxes, television licence & welcome pack.

'Excellent accommodation close to city centre and Headington'

A perfect location for either leisure or business. Have stayed about 2 months in this apartment - priced as hotel, but you get a proper single bedroom townhouse, a shower and kitchen. A cosy place with modern interior and furniture. Cutlery and dishes are included (literally, there's everything you may need), there's a TV and broadband, all possible bills, taxes and surcharges are already included in price. There even is a small balcony! Closest store is just 35 meters (115 feet) away and is open till late, as is bus stop for Headington (Brookes) or city centre - just 5 minute ride in both directions. Coach stop is in less than a minute walk with services to London (every 10 - 15 min. 24-7) and Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton and Stansted airports. A busy Cowley road with shops, PUBs and clubs is in 5 minute walk through Alma Lane/Alma Place. Location is everything for this apartment, and I would definitely recommend, both for just few days and few months.

'Great--just as advertised, and perfect location.'

We spent a week visiting our daughter, who is going to school for the year at Oxford. We wanted a place with a kitchen so that we could cook her some meals, but didn't need much space since we would be out and about most days. The apartment was very clean, well stocked, and everything worked.

We had a wonderful week, and I would highly recommend The Belles to anyone looking for a centrally located flat.

Everything I needed was available at The Belles. Great location in walking distance from everything you could possibly need. The apartment was well appointed and comfortable. The service was also great, with personal check in and great online support before I arrive. Thank you.

My husband and I stayed at 4 Caroline Street for a week while visiting our daughter in Oxford. We couldn't have asked for a more convenient location. The London Tube stop is literally just around the corner, the supermarket is a short walk away, there are numerous restaurants and shops in the neighborhood, and it is very close to Magdalen College, the botanic garden, and other Oxford attractions. The flat is a perfect size and quite comfortable for two people. The washing machine came in handy, as we packed light for our two-week trip to the U.K. David was very helpful in securing a short-term parking spot for us. Although the listing information mentioned that the flat would include a starter supply of coffee, tea and milk, there was none. However, that was a minor discrepancy in what was otherwise an accurate description of the flat and its features. This was an excellent value and we would rent The Belles again.

Run down, needs repairs

Location is highly convenient, frequent bus service to central Oxford, central London, London Heathrow airport with bus stop just 60 ft (20 metres) away.

However this means a lot of noise from cars, sirens, loud conversations on sidewalk.

Kitchen and floors are beautiful, and the townhouse was clean.

But maintenance is poor; many items require repair or replacement: broken window glass, holes in wall were plastered but not repainted, carpet on stairs is stained, curtain to balcony is made up of two pieces of cloth with the top part joined with about 10 safety pins to the bottom part (not sewn,) pans have the Teflon coating half scraped off and have rust and burned-in gunk.

Towels and sheets are good quality but mattress is very low quality, I had to fold the blanket as padding under the bottom sheet so I wouldn't feel the bedsprings.

There is no phone (it was taken out.)

Below is email to owner. Caveat emptor

As I said in my email, I am now halfway through my visit and there are things of which you should be aware. Upon arrival, there was no one to meet me and if I had not had the phone number of the Ethos hotel with me, I would have had to have check into a hotel for the night. When I did speak to the hotel it was obvious that they were not expecting anyone and had no idea who I was. They did send someone over to let me into number three then he briefly showed me the apartment and left.

There are no instructions here on how to use anything which is unfortunate because all of the controlling buttons have a symbol on them which is not easily understood. Also emergency numbers are not provided either. I had to look up the user manuals online to figure these things out.

The washer dryer unit is in fact just a washer which is a problem that I have solved by using the radiators, however, when my wife arrives I’m not sure what we are going to do. One of the rings on the hob does not work at all. On the website there is a welcome package mentioned but I have not seen this.

The general state of the flat is very rundown. None of the blinds work as they should and the one on the back door is missing entirely. There are no working smoke alarms. There are holes in the wall where something like a rack is been removed but the holes have not been patched. The walls have numerous scrapes and scuffs and the plasterwork in places is heavily cracked and discolored. The base of the shower is heavily discolored and looks disgusting. The sofa in the main room has disgusting stains on it and these are covered by two blankets which do not look particularly clean either. There were no dinner plates nor bowls in the cupboard but these were replaced when I called the hotel. The only chair in the flat which is not hard plastic is collapsing and dangerous. The TV is not well mounted to the wall and is tilting. I had to complain to get a working TV box and aerial. There are other minor faults but in general this flat looks like a very rundown student flat. I really could not recommend that anyone stay here.

As a further note, I was moved to the flat next door and the clothes washer stopped working. Despite two promises that someone was coming to fix it, no one ever did and I left a week later thoroughly disgusted.

A "Belle" of a Townhome in the heart of Oxford

I travel back to my old "home town" of Oxford regularly and this visit chose to stay in a more private, self-catering town home than the typical hotel or B&B where I would usually stay. I did not know what to expect however, the Belles proved to be everything I had hoped for. It was sparkling clean with a well appointed kitchen/living room area, washer & dryer, and upstairs bedroom/office and bathroom. It even had a small "Romeo and Juliette" balcony off of the bedroom, which I found sweet.

Situated in a quiet cul de sac, the location was FANTASTIC, being in St. Clements, which is a short walk from the City Centre of Oxford, and just steps away from the colourful Cowley Road with its many Bohemian cafe's and ethnic restaurants. It is also around the corner from my favourite Irish Pub, the Half Moon, which I have been frequenting since I lived in Oxford in the late '80's. The London TUBE ( a 24 hour coach service to London) also stops regularly just around the corner should one fance a day or night out in the City.

In summary, it fulfilled my desire to feel like I was "at home" again in Oxford, being able to cook and entertain as I pleased, and not feel like a "tourist", as one does when staying in a hotel or B&B. I would highly recommend this beautiful cozy nest of a town home for a single or a couple travelling to Oxford and/or the Cotswolds.

Short stay in Oxford

this was a very enjoyable stay in a very convenient location on the edge of Oxford city centre. the property was clean and had good amenities nearby. there was occasionally a bad smell from the drains in the kitchen but this sis not detract from our enjoyment of the experience. we would gladly stay there again.

Convenient location reasonably price accomodation

Location is very convenient, well maintained clean and equipped as described.

Our arrival was rather unpleasant. Reached the property address with luggage. Was told to report to office. Had to take a cab to office about 2 km away. Apparently earlier credit card transaction was unsuccessful but was not communicated. Was told could reimburse fare incurred to and fro office and property but did not receive feedback from both owner nor the office.
