THIS LISTING: You are renting the FIRST FLOOR apartment; is completely separated and private from the rest of the other TWO apartments. You will have access to the apartment thru the red gate located in front of the villa entrance (see pictures) and your ONE private parking is located behind the RIGHT white garage door (see pictures).

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: Casa Paula Villa was renovated and upgraded by professional architect in October of 2013 and November 2015. The property is a two-story house, divided in THREE APARTMENTS with great privacy for each apartment.

Listing (VRBO) 515225: will be the other apartments; the SECOND floor apartment and the REAR apartment, this TWO apartment are connected. This TWO apartments has three bedrooms, two bathroom, a big balcony were you can see all Mcleary street great for BBQ and the apartment has its own two space private parking (back to back). WHICH IS COMPLETELY SEPARATE FROM THE REST with great privacy for each apartment.

Apartment Description:

BEDROOMS: Master Bedroom has a queen bed and its own bathroom, the second bedroom has a full size bunk bed, the third room has a queen bed and the family is convertible to a room, the family (bedroom #4) has two twin size and a full size sofa bed. Hotel quality, fresh linens for each bed, plenty of pillows and blankets. Each room has a closet and A/C. Comfortably accommodates 10 people.

FAMILY ROOM: is convertible to a room (bedroom #4), the family has TWO twin sofa bed and ONE full size sofa bed.

BATHROOMS: Two fully equipped bathrooms and a exterior shower for when you come from the beach. Hair dryer and fresh towels as well.

KITCHEN: Is completely equipped (new from November 2013). The kitchen has: 36 inches refrigerator, microwave and oven (all appliances are stainless steel)

LAUNDRY ROOM: Washer and dryer combo with sufficient space to do your laundry. Cleaning equipment is provided plus ironing board and iron.

GARAGE/INTERIOR PATIO: The living area is connected with two big doors that give access to the patio/garage. One is located in the dining room and the other one in the family room. Great for a BBQ or simple sit and relax. If you have a car the interior patio will serve as garage, but you have plenty space to have a BBQ too.

PARKING: 1 private parking, behind the RIGHT white garage door (rolling door)

ACCESSORIES:

All rooms have an air conditioner unit.

LOCATION: Casa Paula is located in Mc Leary Street a beach neighborhood in the metro area known for being a “walking distance” community. Which is the main road of Ocean Park. The most visited beach in Puerto Rico is steps away from the house, is one of the most known beaches in the Caribbean for wind surfers, kite surfers, surfers, and all kinds of water sports. In the same street, “walking distance” are numerous restaurants, as: Kasalta Bakery (one of the most famous bakeries of PR), Mangos (restaurant during the day and in the evenings is a pub, great place for drinks), B de Burro (Mexican food), Bagua (Puertorrican food), Pizza Cone (Pizza) among others. Also in the same road you will find: surf shop, bike shops, gas station and groceries store. The back street is the famous St. Loiza. You will find all kinds of restaurants, pharmacy such as Walgreens and all types of shops. (In the attached photos you will see more in detail the location of the house and everything mentioned above.)

In other words, you won’t need a car. You can bike, there are many shops near by where you can rent, (20 steps of the house)… ;) At night, Ocean Park is a neighborhood where you can walk and see a lot of people on their bikes, walking, skating and doing exercise.

By car the house is: 10min. from Old San Juan, 5min.from Isla Verde, 10min. from Piñones, 10min. from the airport Luis Munoz Rivera, 90min. from Rincon, 40min. from Fajardo and 60min. from Ponce.

I am Head Coach of a Triathlon Team in Puerto Rico, as an ex-elite athlete I know the joy that brings walking out from your home and mounting your bike or just putting your tennis shoes and take a run. Ocean Park brings the quality of life that I look for my family and me. Is an urban style, beach community where is almost a fact that everybody wears shorts, flip-flops or have a skate board or a bike on hand. Working as a professor in the University and as a doctoral student I have traveled and met people that have been looking for a good, comfortable, accessible place to have a great vacation in the Caribbean, that is one of the reason that inspired me to have this property.

Easy access on/off MC Leary to PR 26. Several options depending on traffic/time of day.

Very clean & well furnished. Kitchen adequate for simple cooking. Great ice maker! Very secure & good outside lighting. Owner/Rafael very attentive to all calls/text request. Some noise from upstairs tenets but that just depends on how considerate they are. Easy beach access & great variety of restaurants on busy Loiza. I prefer the local Pharmacia America but Walgreens is very close. Would stay here again!

I highly recommend this property to anyone that is looking for a vacation area in PR. Great location, close to the beach, and restaurants. The owner is extremely nice, and helps with whatever questions you may have. Booking is very easy.

great location

overall we had an enjoyable stay. the apartment was clean and very usable. The overall quality wasn't up to the Marriott but was clean. it was close to food, the beach (not 40 steps). the beach is a full block away but still very accessible. Old San Juan was about a 20 minute cab ride away. Overall we felt very safe with police patrolling the area frequently. We were also able to walk to various markets in a reasonable time.

For future guests: regarding the comparison with the Marriott, we are not a hotel. Accommodating his family in Christmas time for one night was over $1,000 a night nonetheless Marriott would have not received his family at 11am (early check in) at no extra charge. Regarding the 40 steps, is not literal but is definitely very close to the beach. To verify this information, please take a look at our map in the gallery photos. Old San Juan is 3 miles by GPS, it can take you 8 minutes, 20 or 30 minutes depending on traffic. During Holidays traffic is usually heavy since a lot of people frequent Old San Juan. Great experience!

We weren't familiar with the area we were staying, but we were pleasantly surprised. The house came with everything we needed and it was nicely decorated. The location was perfect, it was next to a gas station which we visited quite a few times, great restaurants within a 5 minute walk, the beach was 2 blocks away, and a Walgreens was nearby. The owner was gracious enough to let us check in a little early and let us keep our things there after checkout since a few of us had late flights. We were 10min from the airport and 10min from Old san Juan, it was perfect! This will definitely be on our list of places to stay when we visit again.
