Pine Island Getaway
Owner was easy to communicate with and very helpful to allow a very needed next day getaway. The unit is showing beginning to show its age but cleanliness is paramount to us and it was clean. I am sure Thomas will take care of as you can see he is addressing things such as a bright new kitchen, new master bath, etc. You do not need to bring anything other than your toothbrush...oh and coffee for your morning cup. We enjoyed sitting at the deck and watching the birds and fish jumping. Nice location and restaurants close by. Overall I do recommend this property and we will be back.
Very nice place to stay.
We truly enjoyed the slower pace of Pibe Island. Staying at this property made it easy to just relax on the back deck or be minutes from the local establishments.
Nice vacation home!
The home was just right for our needs. The boat lift fit our boat just perfectly. We were very comfortable and will be coming back for sure!
Paradise room!
We had a wonderful time boating and relaxing! The home lacked nothing. The front room, we renamed “paradise room” because it’s beautifully redone in a boating/beach theme and overlooks the water. It’s just perfect! The other bedroom is great for the kids! Decorated “under the sea” and perfect for your little ones. The dock and boat lift were amazing, kitchen fully stocked and living room was very cozy. We can’t wait to come back.
Perfect!
I’ve stayed in Fort Myers plenty of times but I’ve never been to Saint James, all I can say is WOW! I’ve been missing out for a long time, the small city is wonderful! Lots of great restaurants, beautiful views, and very friendly people! Thomas was a great host and his house was perfect. The dock was used heavily during the trip and kept my 22’ boat very safe. I’m looking forward to going back!
Wonderful quiet retreat on the water
We thoroughly enjoyed our week. Even though we didn't bring our boat and couldn't fish this trip, due to my recovering from a cracked forearm bone, we had a marvelous time. The newly-renovated master bedroom and bathroom are very nice, though it gets rather warm at that end of the house. We were there in mid-October, when the sun comes in from the south rather strongly. The quiet vertical fan alleviates a lot of the heat, however. The new mattress may be a bit too firm for some tastes, but is far better than one that's too soft. The new bedroom and bathroom furnishings are lovely, and the step-in shower is great. Love the pale blue walls, and the new flooring, too. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans, dishes, and glassware. If you need to fill an ice chest, the ice maker is an added bonus.
We enjoyed taking long walks, and watching the shore birds, and even saw a dolphin and a manatee in the canal. There was also a young osprey who sat on the light pole at the end of the dock every night. He must have been recently left on his own. He sat and called plaintively, like he was expecting Mom or Dad to come bring him a fish. He eventually figured things out and flew away, but stayed in the area.
