Our huge 90m2 apartment in the historic port of Nice is tranquil, stunningly furnished and benefits from both front and rear balconies, allowing you to sit outside and enjoy the fantastic Nice sunshine at most times of the day.
Situated just off Rue Bonapart, a fashionable and trendy area that as yet is undiscovered by most tourists, you'll be able to rub shoulders with the resident Niçois in the nearby restaurants, bars and cafés that are just 60 seconds away. It's just a few minutes away from over 100 restaurants ranging from our local pizzeria to Michelin-starred fare, the port, several beaches, the historic old town, tram, airport bus and train.
The apartment is the perfect combination of modern and traditional elements, offering high ceilings, little decorative touches, air conditioning and a combination of new contemporary, French and Oriental antique furnishing, which it give it a very homely feel. It's very quiet at night and during the day the apartment is filled with sunshine! Guests tell us that our apartment is a great space to live in and is perfectly located for a visit to Nice and the Cote d'Azur.
The apartment dates from 1900, and to the rear overlooks a secret garden that Napoleon used during his time in Nice. The apartment in on the 3rd floor, but as the apartment block is over 100 years-old we don’t have an elevator.
As you enter the apartment you walk into a light and spacious hall and living space. The living room is vast for a Niçois apartment. It’s a great room, which is split into 2 defined areas to maximise the space, 1 providing a sofa and table which is great for reading, the other a much larger space which contains a sofa, a romantic love-chair and armchair. Hidden discreetly within an antique cupboard you’ll also find a large flat screen TV, DVD player, selection of films and a stereo. The room also features a fold-out double bed.
The kitchen and combined dining area are accessed from the hall. The retro Italian designer kitchen is well equipped, and the antique French dining table offers comfortable seating for up to 6 people. The rear balcony is accessed through the kitchen. It’s a quiet, tranquil place that enjoys sunshine throughout the afternoon. Complete with bistro table and chairs set it’s our favourite place to enjoy breakfast or lunch when eating in.
There are two bedrooms. The first is large in size and through double doors provides access to the front balcony, which also contains a couple of chairs so you can sit down, have a drink and watch the world go by outside. It has a new king size bed and mattress, an antique ceiling light and is well furnished with a classic white suite. The second bedroom, whilst smaller is unusual in design and well suited to 2 children or 1 adult. Furnishings comprise a 4ft bed, and some simple storage. We also have a baby travel cot available.
The bathroom and toilet are separate rooms. The bathroom is spacious and comprises a large bath with overhead shower, which is unusual for Nice.
The apartment was freshly renovated in 2011 and completely refurnished.
Nice is a location that me and my family have visited regularly over the last 10 years. After spending so much time here we decided it would be a fantastic place to buy a second family home.
The apartment is well loved and in the perfect location to explore Nice and the surrounding Cote d'Azur. By Niçois standards at 90m2 it offers plenty of space.
What's totally unique is the peace and quiet at night, very rare in Nice, especially when you consider the apartment is located just off Rue Bonapart, a fashionable and trendy area that as yet is undiscovered by most tourists, where you'll be able to rub shoulders with the resident Niçois in the restaurants, bars and cafés that are just 60 seconds away.

My daughter and I were very happy with the convenient location of this apartment. For anything we couldn't walk to, the tram was just up the street to take us where we needed to go. The second bedroom, though small, was comfortable. We arrived one day later than initially planned and Chris generously gave us a refund.
The apartment is excellently located - close to tram & bus stops, the port, old town & many restaurants. The area felt very safe to walk in the evening. The main bedroom is lovely. The second bedroom is really only suitable for a child - despite being only 5ft 4 inch tall I had to lie diagonally across the bed in order to lie straight. The kitchen was well equipped (but no dishwasher). Both balconies are small - only room for two chairs which may be an issue for a larger group. All correspondence with the owner was answered very promptly.
This appartment was very confortable for our family, near to all activities, attractions, bus, train station, restaurants, beach and port. We were there for a week and enjoy our stay. Everything was clean We warmly recommand it. The owner

The apartment is well located in the Placa Garibaldi area of Nice and provided a fantastic base for my holiday to Nice with my husband. The apartment is spacious, comfortable and well decorated. Our outbound flight was delayed and didn't arrive till late on the Sunday evening, but this was not a problem for Marilia who was very welcoming. I would highly recommend this apartment, and will try to book for an future visits.
We booked this apartment for a short break with friends (four adults) and had an amazing time. Apartment great, exactly what I had hoped for. The location of apartment excellent and we were given a very warm welcome even though we had late flights. Loads of information provided as to what to do. Much better than staying in a hotel.
Denne leiligheten ligger veldig sentralt i Nice, ved gammelbyen. Godt utstyrt med det man trenger for noen late dager i denne nydelige byen. Buss og tog i nærheten. Et stort soverom, et lite et og en sovesofa i stuen.
