BRIEF DESCRIPTION: This restored ranch cabin has a rustic, western feel, yet has top quality amenities and furnishings. Located on an operating cattle ranch South of Twin Bridges, within a short drive of great fishing, hiking, canoeing, horseback riding and more.

GENERAL LOCATION: The cabin is ten minutes South of Twin Bridges and about twenty minutes North of Dillon. Butte's airport is less than an hour away and Bozeman's Gallatin Field airport is about an hour and a half from the cabin.

BEDROOMS AND BATHS: There is one bedroom in the home, with a king size bed. This bed can also be set up as two twin beds. High quality linens, pillows and blankets make it hard to get up in the morning! There is additional sleeping space on a sleeper sofa in the living room. The cabin has one full bathroom with a tub shower combination and can accommodate up to four guests.

SETTING, ACREAGE, VIEWS: The home sits at the Western edge of a large ranch property. Ranching activities on the land surrounding the cabin could include haying, branding calves, moving cattle from one pasture to Montana! From the front porch of the cabin, the views of the Ruby Mountains are just fabulous!

OUTDOOR AMENITIES: Guests will find plenty of outdoor furniture on the porch and a gas grill for barbecues.

ACTIVITIES NEARBY: Enjoy hiking in the Ruby Mountains, fishing on the Big Hole, Beaverhead, Ruby, Madison and Jefferson Rivers. Check out the nearby "ghost towns" of the gold rush era in nearby Nevada City and Virginia City. There is even some great theater performances to catch! There's so much to do!

Stayed for the first time in August and plan to come back next year. The cabin is amazing! From breakfast on the enclosed porch to watching the wildlife in the evening, we couldn't have asked for a nicer home away from home. The privacy of the ranch was perfect, and waking up to the views of the Ruby Valley and Tobacco Root Mountains was spectacular. Can't wait til our next trip! We travel with our dog, (Labrador Retriever) , and he had a great time also. Also a big thumbs up to Mountain Home Vacation rentals for their outstanding customer service.

We have stayed in the same cabin 2 years in a row. When we drive up at night it is lit up for us, warm, and so cozy. It has all the amenities you need for a week stay including a great kitchen, pots, pans, washer & dryer, you name it. If you are there in the winter, the floors are nice and warm so you feel so cozy even on a snowy day. We absolutely LOVE it there and plan to go again every year.

We chose this cabin to get away for my husband's 50th birthday and we could have not have been happier with our choice. On arrival, the cabin was pristine. It was wonderful to wake up to the beautiful views to the front and back of the property, and relax on the porch; this place quickly felt like home. The pictures do not do the cabin justice; it was simply but elegantly furnished, roomy with high ceilings, and no detail was overlooked; dishes and cookware were higher-end and in good condition. We also appreciated the environmentally green cleaning products and the organic shampoo and shower gel. In the August heat the cabin did not get overly warm and cooled down significantly at night because of the numerous windows. We did bring our own table fan as well for sleeping overnight.

Kristen (Management) was extremely responsive and helpful with any questions or concerns, gathering pamphlets and maps for us that were left in the cabin to make our stay more enjoyable. You are pretty much on your own, so this place is for the independent traveler. However, phone numbers were left in case we needed anything. We enjoyed being "off the grid"; there is fairly fast wifi if you need to connect with the real world. The location is extremely quiet but close to the highway, which was convenient for the several day trips we did. There is much to do in this location and our regret is that we didn't stay longer; though that gives us an excuse to return!

Improvements we'd like to see are a luggage rack and a larger set of drawers. Also a bread knife and a sharper pair of scissors would make the kitchen perfect.
