This area has several attractive beaches, colourful local markets and interesting places to visit within thirty minutes drive. Dining out is well catered for with restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and pockets. Add to this the friendliness of the Spanish people, the beauty and temperate climate of this region and you have the makings of a super holiday. Approximate airport distances form Moraira: Alicante - 90 km (60 mins) and Valencia - 125 km (80 mins).
Third stay at Casa Tara ! that say's it all ! You will not find a better Villa in this location, great access to the town , taxis not required, unless of course a necessity. Superb new kitchen, great BBQ facilities and Moraira has every restaurant that you may require.
The villa itself is clean, well maintained and pretty well as described on the website. I was staying there with my family which included my girlfriend, two young kids (under 3) and their grandparents.
We were well catered for in terms of space with bedrooms which included a beautifully done out nursery. There are two twin rooms and two doubles though one of the doubles is significantly larger than any of the other rooms being en suite.
The best bits from our point of view were the pool and hot tub (which is great on a cooler night if you get such a thing). The villa is adequately stocked inside and out with everything you need to live comfortably within the villa itself including UK TV channels and kitchen modcons.
Located a few minutes walk from the centre of Moraira, we had a double buggy and walking along the roadside (albeit for a very short distance) there is no pavement. As a result you feel very vulnerable to the oncoming traffic which you cannot see coming because of the bend in the road (and vice versa).
Moraira itself is lovely especially for young kids as the beach is so accessible and there are many restaurants/cafes to choose from. It is not a big town and twenty-somethings may find it a bit too quiet as far as the night life goes.
One small gripe about the villa was the lack of any beach toys/accessories particularly for the kids, however, since our visit this should be well stocked now since we couldn't bring these items back with us - be sure to ask what is available if that's of interest. The only other negative thing I can think of is that the spiral staircase is awkward for young kids but outside access to the first floor does offer a useful alternative.
Despite my above gripes, these were certainly outweighed by the positives and I can certainly recommend the villa and Moraira to families especially.
Both the owner and manager of the villa were polite, helpful and prompt to deal with any issues we had both before and during our stay and this also helped to make the holiday what it was - excellent.
Set in a quiet cul-de-sac just off the main road 10 minutes easy stroll into the pleasant unspoilt town of Moraira Casa Tara is a little (big) gem !
Although a car is not necessary as everything is within walking distance of the villa it does make it easier to pick up a 'big' shop and the surrounding area is so beautiful its a shame not to make the most of it . We hired 2 cars from the airport and the 50 minute trip up the coast is an enjoyable one and the directions that Shirley gave were easy to follow. I have stayed in Moraira before and have used a transfer company to get to and from the airport without any problems .
We as a family of 8 the youngest being 2 and the eldest being 51 could not fault our stay , we were met at the villa by Gaynor who explained everything to us in detail and gave us contact details if we needed help with anything .
The villa and grounds are exceptional, both maintained to a very high standard, the feeling of space is echoed inside and out so even if you are with a large group it's easy to escape to one of a number of quiet areas to chill and get away from it all .
The villa itself is light and airy with air con in the bedrooms it has a fully equipped kitchen with all mod cons (and a few extras) plus satellite tv it really is a home from home .
When the sun was at its hottest it was great to plunge into the pool or relax on a lilo until the kids ( 24, 22 and 20 !) thought it was fun to tip me off or sit in the shade under the Naya with a cold glass of something alcoholic.
Would we stay again ? ...... YOU BET !
From the moment I contacted Shirley with my initial enquiry asking about the facilities for my grand daughter to handing back the keys on the last day everything was handled fantastically well , nothing was to much trouble and this was one of the best holidays ever.
Thank you Shirley
We all had a fantastic time the villa was great everything we needed, you could walk to Moraira and the beaches the pool was cleaned twice a week and everthing was within walking distance.
we holiday last year and hope to do the same this year, Moraira is a very nice town and the surrounding areas you would have to look hard to find a villa to beat this.
The Devon family
We have stayed at this villa twice now and have had two wonderful holidays. The pictures definately don't do the villa justice, the views are lovely and the outdoor space is fantastic. The pool is a great size (we were two families holidaying together) and everyone loved the jacuzzi. There was grass for the little ones to have a run about on and enough seating for everyone (with shaded areas too). One of our favourite spots was the outdoor naya, with sofa and chairs, perfect for after-dinner drinks or afternoon naps! We're just about to enquire again about a possible third visit!
Firstly, the images did not do the property justice! The villa was so much bigger than the images were lead to believe. Everything was catered for in terms of furniture (inc outdoor) and appliances, with a nice size tv and lounge area. Air-conditioning in everry bedroom made it much more pleasant and bedrooms were big with each room having it's own wardrobe.
There are 2 supermarkets close by with everything you will need. and shops & restaurants were only a 10 minute walk away.
Shirley provided an excellent customer service and even had a welcome board with detailed information on using the appliances and useful numbers.
Our overall experience at Casa Tara was superb and we would definately recommend this villa for anyone with 6-8 people.
