About owner / property manager
I bought this last year, but I grew up here, and so did my mother. It was built in 1936 by my grandparents.
owner / property manager purchased this House in 2013
Why owner / property manager chose Kennett Square
I wanted to keep this property in our family for continuity. Chester County has a lot of large modern houses and also a lot of beautiful old farmhouses and barns: this is neither! It is a smaller Cape Cod style house built from a Better Homes and Gardens plan.

Very well described and a relaxing location.
The process of renting was extremely easy and the owner very responsive to questions and accommodating.
Lovely home and perfect location
We stayed for a week during Thanksgiving break to visit my daughter in West Chester. Ben was very quick to reply to answer any questions and just a gracious host. I cooked my first Thanksgiving away from home and they had all the amenities. We were able to visit with our daughter and also go to Longwood Gardens, Philadelphia and Delaware all in the week we visited. We will definitely be back. Thanks again Ben for your gracious hospitality! 😊
Michelle was a great guest and is welcome back any time! I'm so glad to hear she cooked Thanksgiving at the house!
Wonderful location and so peaceful.
Delightful cottage was so comfortable! We especially loved the stocked kitchen, vegetable garden, porch and comfortable beds.
Cozy cottage very close to Longwood Gardens
This is a cute cottage very close to Longwood Gardens and within 1/2 hour of Winterthur. The kitchen is well supplied with all cooking essentials and the beds are super comfortable with big, fluffy comforters. This is such a beautiful area with much to see. Wish we could stay longer. The bedrooms are up fairly steep stairs, so anyone with mobility issues may have some trouble navigating them, but we're not spring chickens and had no problems. Ben, the owner has been very responsive to our questions - we'd love to come back.
Modest home in a beautiful location.
Loved staying in this cute cottage. Gorgeous lawn surrounding the house with lots of trees and bird life. Spent many hours on the screened-in porch. Great location to Longwood Gardens, Winterthur and Brandywine River Museum of Art (all three highly recommended). Lovely rural feel without actually being too far from all amenities of a city. Kitchen had all utensils/pans we needed to prepare a few meals (including fun plates and glasses). Upstairs full bath updated and nice. Beds comfortable. A little 'musty' smelling downstairs, but that's part of staying in an older home. Would stay again.
An adorable little slice of
Country living in Chester county.
Kennett Underground Railroad Center, Longwood Gardens, New Bolton Center, Brandywine River Museum, Brandywine Battlefield Historic Site are all quite close.
Marlborough Village is quite close to Bernard's Orchard with a great selection of local fruit and vegetables, as well as Northbrook Canoe Company which is right on the Brandywine River. Kennett Square offers a wide variety of restaurants and shops including, Sam's Subs and La Peña Mexicana. Not too far is The Whip, a perfect country pub.
