Why Peter Joseph chose Isere

I have travelled extensively and without exeption the views from this house are by far the best I have ever seen.

The house in itself is beautiful and it is impossible not to relax.

There is so much to do in the area and from the village is some of the best canyoning in France and about 15 minutes away is europes largest monkey trail.

The lake in the summer is stunning and spending your days down there and barbecuing are a perfect way to spend your days.

Guestbook comments from the owner

The cottage is situated in an idyllic location. It is well equipped, spacious 12 (3 bathrooms / 3 toilets) with a large living room with fireplace. I recommend without hesitation the cottage of Peter especially with sunny days because the view is magnificent!

Fantastic family holiday

  • 5 of 5

My kids prompted me to write this. This was the perfect family holiday. There were 3 families and plenty of space for all 12 of us.

we spent so many days relaxing and having barbies down at the lake (along with some lovely red wine !!) The kids just played in the pool or swam in the lake.

There is so many amazing activities on your doorstep and all so reasonable. Not a playstation or phone in sight as simply the kids turned into being kids again. We loved this holiday. Thank you to Peter and his lovely housekeeper. xx

Fantastic family holiday

  • 5 of 5

wow, what can I say, we were warmly welcomed by Peters house keeper and immediately fell in love with the view. Trust me they are truly breath taking.

The house is huge and beautiful. we went to the Lake which is fantastic, went money trailing which was a full exhausting but gratifying day. Canyoning which was the best. There is just so much to do. Great local restaurants at cheap prices. WE WILL BE COMING BACK. Thanks

Summer delight

  • 5 of 5

We have just spent three weeks in this stunning house. Waking up every morning and seeing probably one of the most breathtaking views we have ever seen was truely amazing. It sits high on the mountainside overlooking a charming hamlet surrounded by an incredibly mountain range.

The house is beautifully decorated and there was plenty to ocuppy our fout children.

Truely reccommended and we hope to come back and see it in the snow.

Enjoy

St Andeol Alpine Chalet

  • 3 of 5

Without doubt this property is positioned in some of the most spectacular scenery France has to offer. Set high in the mountains, its overlooked by rugged peaks and looks down in turn on villages in the valleys below. It is breath-taking. In our opinion the property is not well suited for a large group - it has numerous bedrooms but restricted living room and quiet areas for a large party with boisterous children for example. Its well equipped although we found the showers to be temperamental. A car capable of climbing sustained gradients is essential. Ensure you bring sufficient supplies - there is no supermarket nearby!

Grande maison très agréable

  • 5 of 5

Ski: The Resort of Gresse en Vercors is a beautiful little ski resort with approx 20 runs of all levels.

The costs for ski sckool and lift passes are a fraction of the prices you would normally pay at some of the bigger resorts. For the more demanding skier you have a short drive to the resort of Chatreuse (1968 winter olympic resort) or slightly further away you have all year round skiing at Les Deux Alps.
