Naturalists will enjoy our resident wildlife such as grouse, deer, owl and wood peckers. There are quite a few groomed cross-country ski trails are nearby. After dark, from time to time, the baying of the coyotes can be heard in the distance. For some fun and excitement, mountain bikers will find the North Country Trail just 3 miles from the cabin. Also, the Little 'O' ORV/ATV Trail can be reached by following our 2 track to the property line. Snow mobilers can find Trail 35 one mile east of the cabin. Fishermen may travel 4 miles from the cabin to the Pere Marquette River Access at Rainbow Rapids.

Inside the cabin, twin bedrooms are outfit with Amish made log bunk beds. Each bunk bed has a full size mattress on the bottom and a twin size mattress on the top, sleeping 3 persons per room. About Ashley Aubert

Hi! Meet the owners, Lawrence & Ashley Aubert. Lawrence, a Michigan native, and Ashley, a true Floridian, firstly met and lived in the Florida Keys aboard their sailing vessel, Karma, where they raised a little black cat, Gato, and a teacup Pomeranian, Bonsai. Moving to Michigan in 2012 to seek a different style of living. They purchased this amazing 17 acre property consisting of a Main Lodge and Private Cabin. Almost immediately, they began hosting vacationers in their private cabin. Guests were so friendly and kind, they decided to reopen the Lodge as a Bed & Breakfast (the previous owners operated a B&B here for 10 years). In addition to becoming innkeepers, they also raise and train Airedale Terriers. Bonsai & Gato are still around and enjoying the great white North.

The Aubert's welcome you to their secluded cabin in the woods!

Beautiful cabin in the woods

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful time staying at the cabin. The cabin is cozy but still felt spacious, and we comfortably fit a group of friends (and a small dog). We loved the fireplace, the nice trail out back, and the extensive set of DVDs. Unfortunately, the futon was broken when we arrived, which made sleeping quite uncomfortable but its replacement was already on the way during our stay. Overall a nice, relaxing vacation - thank you!

Cabin in the woods

  • 4 of 5

We went as a group of 4 couples, brought an extra blow up mattress, but there is room for 8 to sleep without it. We enjoyed the area surrounding the cabin, went for a few walks, there's chickens etc to see wandering around. We had campfires out front of the cabin which was nice...the cabin was nice & clean...we did see a few ants but that's about it!

Would recommend this to anyone wanting a nice getaway...we played board games & cards...a nice break from all technology!!!

Simply Amazing

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was everything I could have hoped for. I would recommend this to anyone and would go back in a heartbeat. The only issue I have (albeit a small one) was the cabin was a bit tricky to locate. It was a great weekend and I'm glad I found this cabin!

Good news everyone!

  • 5 of 5

Excellent stay, close to lots of trails, cozy and very clean cabin. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I suggest this to anyone who wants an escape for a few days or more. There was plenty of space. We were only two but the cabin had two bedrooms and could easily accommodate 8 ppl. It's also easy to find if that's a concern. We mainly went hiking, but there seemed to be numerous trails for other off-roading activities etc.
