The family bought this property in 1995. It was the second home built in the area and was a 2 bedroom rambler. After their third child was born, they needed a larger home. The old home was demolished and this home was built in its place. It is designed to have a timeless design so it would hopefully stay on the property for hundreds of years. It is a Cape Cod design that is as beautiful in from the back view as it is from the front. They raised their four children in this home. It was designed so their home would be the gathering place for their friends and it served its purpose by having all of their friends often, holding events like school prom group photos and dinners, beach parties, scout swimming for merit badges, and hosting dinner parties , weddings or non-profit events. On the 4th of July they have had hundreds of people in the backyard watching the fireworks (The fireworks are set off from a barge just off our beach front, so you must reserve the home for the 4th of July week because you cannot get any closer to a professional firework show). Over the years their home has been a place we have regularly enjoyed opening our doors to provide a room or bed for someone who needed a place to stay until they got on their feet again. Now that their children are raised the home is ready for you to use and enjoy. It is kept very clean and pristine so you can just relax and enjoy the beauty inside and outside of the home. They are local natives and the property manager can answer your questions before your arrive about activities, shopping or things you might need while on your amazing vacation.
Megan purchased this house in 1999
This home will someday be on a registry of historic homes. It was built solid with a timeless, elegant design to last for hundreds of years. Our goal to pass this home down to our children and grandchildren who will continue to have it open and available for vacation rental.
It will be a place you can come to year after year as your vacation home, and share with your family and friends now and over future generations to come.
Come leave your legacy and be among the first generation of guests. Your name and story can be in our guest book so when movies or books are written about the history of our home, you will be a part of it.
Unobstructed Views 180 degree views. 100 feet of sandy beach. Private dock with boat lift to park a boat and wave runner. Home is most luxurious on the lake, elegant, yet relaxed (keep your shoes on if you want). Lots of room for more than one family or for a family reunion. If you want to play on the water we have toys, skis, canoes, kayaks, row boats, fishing gear on site. If you want to just relax and read a book there are many quite private areas inside or outside all with views. Very romantic setting for a couple to have a first or second honeymoon.
Location, location, location. Quick access to freeway to easily get to anything you want to do within a 10-20 minute drive. Very close to downtown Seattle or Bellevue for city fun, shopping, restaurants, sailing, fishing, ferry boat rides, aquarium, Seahawks football, Mariners baseball, Sounders Soccer, Seattle Symphony or Opera, Theaters, Space Needle. Yet the home is in a quite, private area. First time or seasoned paragliding within 10 minutes. Many Golf courses within 10 minutes. Head to the mountain pass (10-15 minutes) for fly fishing, hiking, mountain biking, river rafting and snow skiing.
The Perfect Place for our family Reunion July 2015! Plenty of space for four families, teenagers and boys room to have their own areas. Wonderful gathering places. Ideal kitchen with everything needed. Quality beds and linens. Beautiful furnishings, and the best - the gorgeous views from nearly every room of the lake with fun dock, slide, kayaks and toys. Would definitely recommend and love to come again. Property manager and owner were both wonderful to work with!
My party of 11 adults truly enjoyed our stay at this property. It is conveniently located near Costco, PCC (local natural/ organic supermarket), Supermarkets (QFC, Safeway). We also enjoyed using the complimentary 2 kayaks to explore the lake, as well as the extensive and well appointed kitchen. Would love to be back again!
Our family enjoyed an amazing 4th of July weekend at this waterfront home. The home is beautiful and well maintained. We had 70 people there during the day and it never felt cramped. Our family enjoyed boating, kayaking, swimming, and paddle boats. We gathered in the large great room for meals, skits, singing and playing games together. We all agreed we would love to get together here again in the future. Thank you for providing such a wonderful home to share with our family!!
We (an extended family of 14, 10 adults age range 40-80, 4 kids age range 9-14) just had a fabulous week in this house in the Seattle area. Although located SE of downtown Seattle, we were close enough to get to all the sights w/ planning. FYI, this entire area has horrible traffic. Anyway, the house was perfect! All of us but especially the kids loved the lake access! The owners provided 2 kayaks, a small boat, life jackets & water toys. There was also a slide on the dock for fun access to the water. We watched all kinds of birds, including eagles & otters from the dock & balconies. The house was clean & well maintained. Upon arrival, we were given a complete tour & binder full of help & suggestions. There were 5 separate bedrooms, & 4 1/2 baths, perfect for our group & a TV bonus room w/ cots & inflatable mattresses for the kids. We have rented many homes in Florida & always have to purchase laundry & dishwasher detergent, trash bags, ziplock bags, napkins, t paper, etc. This house was stocked w/ everything! Thank you for a wonderful trip!
For the past two years (2014 and 2015) we have rented this property to host a Management outing for our company. About 60+ Managers total enjoy the house, beach and lake for an afternoon out of the office and in the sun! The house provides more than enough space for many to enjoy a catered lunch/dinner, and plenty of bathrooms and seating space inside and out for all to enjoy! We also have used the dock for two boats to allow boating activities on the lake. It has been rated one of our best Management outings for two years running, and we look forward to another day at the lake in 2016!
We had a great time and the house was very comfortable. They had everything needed to cook in the large kitchen and a beautiful view from just about all the rooms. I hope I am welcomed back as I would love to come back!
Thank you so much!!!
My husband and I rented this house for the weekend of our wedding, which took place over in Issaquah. It was perfect for both of our families to stay! Lots of room, very beautiful, and it even had kayaks to take out on the water if we wanted (didn't have the time). The view over the lake was wonderful and it was a very quiet and peaceful location. The parking was difficult with a lot of people staying, because one of the garage bays had to be kept open, but we worked it out and fit more more cars than we expected. Recommend this place to stay for a getaway! We wish we could have had more time to enjoy the property and the lake.
Located right in the middle of Snoqualmie Pass and downtown Seattle so you can have the best of both worlds within a very short drive!
