Very homely and good location.
Our clean and cosy canal-facing apartment is right next to the famous Jordaan area and a 10 minute tram ride from central station. It is located on the first floor so there are not too many stairs to climb after a long day of sight seeing.
It is within walking distance to all the sights (10 mins Anne Frank's, 15 mins Dam Square) yet not in the tourist area so you can mingle with the locals! Public transport is also close by if you prefer.
We enjoy travel ourselves so are able to rent our apartment during these periods. This will make this your home away from home with everything you need.
There are original features dating back to the 1920’s such as high ceilings and wooden floors throughout.
There are also plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants to choose from in the neighborhood. I can also make some recommendations for you.
-Free Maps and bike rental information
-1 bedroom with double bed and balcony
-Dining Table for 4 people
-Fresh bed linen and towels provided
-Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher
-Bedroom with balcony overlooking quaint gardens
-Quiet and safe street
-Sofa bed in living area (extra people additional charge)
There is a small shower room and toilet (typically Dutch!) but there is no bathtub.
By the way, there is also a supermarket on the corner that is open 7 days a week (usually from 9am until 10pm) that is also very convenient for your stay and even a night shop that is open until 2am if you need it.
It will comfortably accommodate 2 people but there is also a sofa bed for 2 additional guests in the living area.
Please get in touch straight away with any questions, we would like you to have a memorable stay in this special city. I will usually reply to inquiries within a couple of hours (depending on the time difference) and can help you with directions and public transport information once your booking is confirmed.
We will treat our guests how we like to be treated and look forward to hearing from you or meeting you soon!

We stayed for 4 nights mid September. The bed (queen size) is quite comfortable, the linens nice, and the sectional was a great place for sitting and relaxing in the living room, looking out at the canal and buildings opposite - when not walking about. Best of all the patio doors open onto the street ( second floor above the street), which overlooks a canal. And the bedroom doors open onto a balcony on a courtyard. It's a bright space with lots of Windows. The internet is high speed, no complaints there. 20 - 30 min walk to virtually every place a tourist might want to walk to. Grocery store 5 min walk, restaurants 10 min walk.
Eva was waiting for us when we arrived. She was delightful and helpful, even calling a taxi for us when we left.
Would absolutely stay here again.
Loved the place, it was perfect for our needs and centrally located.
Right from the initial contact until we departed our hosts were most helpful. They had all sorts of suggestions as we were planning our stay and helped us with directions and options about how to get to their apartment. When we were met by our hosts getting off the tram from the train station, we knew we were in good hands.
The apartment is on the first floor, so there are some stairs to climb to get there. The view is very nice and the neighborhood is great. There are some restaurants, grocery stores and shops nearby, but it is generally very quiet and residential. However, you can also walk to the center of Amsterdam in about 25 minutes.
The apartment is open and comfortable with two small balconies, one facing the street/canal and one facing the back courtyard. It is not luxurious, but very warm and functional. The rooms are pleasant, the bed is comfortable, including the pull out couch that was used by our daughter.
I'd highly recommend this apartment and plan to stay there on our return to Amsterdam!
We stayed in Amsterdam to run the Amsterdam marathon and found the apartment both central for the city and convenient for the marathon location at the Olympic Stadium. Overlooking a canal and very near tram links, the apartment is a great location. It is approached by very steep stairs, which means it may not be suitable for people with disabilities or babies and very young children, but bigger kids will love it. The apartment is compact, but was easily big enough for three of us. It was also impeccably clean and Eva was very welcoming. I would thoroughly recommend it for a short (and maybe longer) stay.
My husband was attending a tech conference and he and I went a week early for a quick vacation. I wanted to be on a canal in a quiet yet active location in an old, beautiful apartment and this is exactly what I found, after looking at over 100 listings. It's on the 2nd (in America) floor, up the steepest set of stairs I've ever seen, and opens up to French doors on the canal overlooking houseboats and another set in the bedroom to the hammock and back courtyard. It's very traditional Dutch, you can see the tram line from the front windows. I couldn't say enough about the charm of this place and the helpfulness if the owners. Grocery and cafe within 2 minute walk.
This great little apartment felt perfect from the first moment we walked into it. I loved sitting on the comfy sectional at the end of day, looking out over a canal and viewing the people of Amsterdam as they headed home on their bicycles. Eva was friendly and helpful, providing us with everything from maps to milk to local transportation tips. Yes, the stairs are steep and the bathroom small from a Canadian point of view, but it just felt more 'European ' that way. I did find the bed too soft for my liking, but the sofa bed was fine. As for location, we walked everywhere, including the Museumplein, Anne Frank House, the Nine Streets, Vondelpark, but there were easy tram routes if you prefer. Great find!

You are welcome to stay in our apartment but please respect the neighbours as this is a residential area of the city. It may be possible to arrange a private boat trip for a special fee when the sun is shining and an airport pick up for 25 euros depending on availability. I will always try to accomodate any special requirements to make you feel at home and am quick to reply to e-mails, Eva
This is an ideal place to explore the city. The neighbourhood itself has a number of cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and even bike rental within a 5 minute walk. Houseboats are right outside the apartment which is on a quiet canal.
