From our guests:
'What wonderful accommodations you have. Your dogs were too well trained to come inside for a visit despite my invitations to do so, but I think the rooster and goat might have waltzed inside if I had left the door open a few more seconds. The surprise was a good selection of DVDs to watch.
'Thank you for sharing one of the most stunning view Haines to offer. One bright sunny morning melted my business cares into oblivion. May future visitors find the serenity I enjoyed during my stay here on Mud Bay Road!'
'Although here on business and unable to really relax and enjoy all that Haines has to offer...I must say the view held me captive much longer than I should have. Relaxing, comfortable and much appreciated retreat.'
'We have had a wonderful stay here at Hidden Cove Farm. The views from our apartment are just fabulous. We have also enjoyed the farm animals being so close. Thanks for a very enjoyable stay.'

'We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hidden Cove Farm. Moonlight reflecting off the water, a crisp chill in the air, and all the comforts of home. The small details were much appreciated. Clean, warm, & cozy. We'll be back!'

We stayed here for a week and loved every minute. There were 10 of us total, including kids. Everyone had a comfortable bed, plenty of privacy and a huge great room and kitchen to enjoy our family get-together vacation. This lovely family home was just perfect for our 4 families!
The view out the front wall of windows was fantastic. We marveled over and over at just how perfectly the house had been placed on the property to make the most of it's location ... Private, yet only a 5 minutes drive to town.
We are a group that likes to go out and do things together. Haines is a great destination for this! During our week long stay we went charter fishing for Halibut, shore fishing for salmon and trout, bear watching almost every night, kayaking, crabbing off the dock, roaming around the town, driving any back road we could find and hiking several awesome trails. My favorite hike was the one to Superstition Point where we were treated to a stellar view of several glaciers that were super close....just across the bay!
Each return to the house, we'd come home sandy, muddy or wet from our day's adventure. The Hidden Cove house is designed for active people with a large carport to load and unload cars, a mud room and basement to strip off dirty clothes and boots and get them right to the laundry without dragging our mess thru the house!
Not one, but two hot tubs were always hot and ready to soothe tired muscles and relax in. The kitchen had every pot, pan and appliance we needed to cook meals for 10 and the basement was full of games to entertain the kid in all of us.
We've rented many homes through VRBO as we feel it's the best way to enjoy an area. We have always been pleased with the professional way VRBO handles their lodgings and travelers. Hidden Cove and Haines ALASKA ranks right at the top as one of our all time favorite vacation destinations.
We booked both Hidden Cove properties for a large group during the Haines Beer Festival. As Industry Professionals we preferred a spot a little away from downtown to get away from the craziness of beer fest. Hidden Cove was perfect. Everyone really enjoyed the amazing lawn and large deck that was bathed every afternoon in sunshine. The views of the of the mountains and bay were incredible. The house was very comfortable and the homeowner was very laid back and welcoming. The house was clean and had everything you would need at a home away from home, even an awesome BBQ grill! We would all stay here again for sure.
We had a wonderful time during our stay. This is a great place to stay if you have kids and want your space. Close to town and a beautiful view!
Thanks Greg for having us at your outstanding home overlooking the Chilkoot Inlet. It couldn't be moe Alaskan... My daughter, who wisely selected your place, son-in-law, my wife, two grandkids, everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Alas always too short. But we did have our freshly caught Salmon limit! Our host, Greg, was friendly & very helpful. I would definitely recommend this home to families or groups... The fire pit was a huge bonus on the last night!
Hope to return soon.

The location of this house is beautiful, overlooking the ocean. Amazing patio and great for the kids. Unfortunately the kitchen was quite dirty. There was really old water with floating stuff in the coffee maker and the surfaces were greasy. The fridge was dirty with lots of dressings and other items that have expired more than 6 month ago. The water has a blackish color, that when you fill the tub it looks like your old dish water. I understand upgrading your plumbing can be very costly and may not be possible at this time, but having the house quite dirty also made us question the cleanliness of our bed sheets. We still enjoyed our stay, but it would have been nice to have it a bit cleaner for the price...
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and our host family. We were looking for a place near where we used to live with the views of our memories and this was it. Convenient, close to everything we wanted.
