3 bedrooms in the heart of Hampden, the best neighborhood in Baltimore.
Minutes walk to great restaurants & the many independent stores on The Avenue. Minutes drive to downtown (Camden Yards, M&T Stadium, the Baltimore Convention Center, the National Aquarium), as well as a quick drive to Baltimore Penn Station, Johns Hopkins University, The Maryland Zoo, The BMA, and many other attractions.
There is hardwood floor throughout the house, air condition, heating, treadmill, 100s of books, washer+dryer, wireless Internet, 2 full bathrooms, and 2 flat screen TVs.
4 beds: 1 King size bed, 1 Full size bed, 2 twin size beds (a Twin Trundle bed), and an option to add a queen size air mattress.
Great for families.
I'm a stay-at-home dad. Originally from Israel, I've lived in Baltimore since 2003 with my wife and two kids.
Oren Miller & Beth Blauer purchased this townhome in 2003
We've been in this house since we moved to Baltimore, and we love the house and Hampden so much, that now that we're moving to Baltimore County, we decided to keep it and use Homeaway/VRBO instead of selling it.
We love going out to eat with the kids, and Hampden has plenty of options for us, all within walking distance (as well as plenty of options for more quiet dining without the kids). This is truly a vibrant community.
There are great restaurants and stores within a quick walk, and I-83, which cuts through Baltimore from north to south, is within a 2 minute drive from the house, making any drive downtown or out of town quick and easy.
Hardwood floor, A/C, heating, treadmill, 100s of books, washer+dryer, Wi-Fi. Great for families.
We've lived here for over 10 years, 4 years as a couple, and another 6 years as a family. We love the house, and we love this neighborhood. The house is located within 5 minutes walk to a movie theater, large grocery stores, and great independent restaurants and stores.
The house includes 2 flat screen TVs (the TV downstairs is connected to Netflix via a Roku device), a computer desk upstairs, and a treadmill. The two bedrooms on the second floor have been used as kids' rooms. They are bright, colorful rooms with twin beds (a trundle bed) and a full size bed. There is also an option to add an air mattress in the living room.
Downstairs is a large living room with hundreds of books, a kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a laundry room with a washer and a dryer, and a back door leading to a deck with a beautiful view of Baltimore.
We absolutely loved the house. It was very clean and stocked. We will definitely stay there again. The pictures did not do justice. The owner and neighbors were so nice
Three store townhouse in the heart of Baltimore! It was a great location and well furnished - it even had little travel size shampoos and soaps! Plenty of places to sleep and a well equipped kitchen. Definitely enjoyed our stay and would stay again in the future!
The first way I judge a VRBO is the Welcome Booklet that is left for you. This one was perfect. Every restaurant, grocery store, thrift shop you could want (and Hampden is loaded with great restaurants and thrift shops and ATOMIC BOOKS!!!!!) plus maps and directions to the light rail, airport, etc.
Another way to judge a VRBO is if they leave you coffee for your first morning. Not only was there coffee, but Baltimore products Otterbein's sugar cookies (best cookie ever) and Utz Crab Chips (best potato chip ever) waiting for you in a welcome basket.
The house is huge, clean, comfortable, in a great location and has a huge book collection of really interesting and unique books.
And for those that need wifi and TV, your needs are covered. Two giant TV's with Netflix and the wifi is fast.
The home was warm and inviting. The owner was very nice and provided staples and other amenities that made the stay very comfortable. I would recommend this house to anyone visiting Baltimore. The picture only shows a peek at the master and do not do it justice with the look. It was a large space with beautiful warm floors. An upgrade to the comforter would be recommended, however the place was clean and updated. In Baltimore for the first time, the owner provided great details of the surrounding area, which has many activities, attractions and restaurants within walking distance. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed Baltimore living.
This was my first time in Baltimore and the culture is amazing. The house was clean and the area safe and quite. The owner and neighbors were friendly and provide great suggestions for dining and attractions. It was the perfect location for business in the downtown area everything was with 15 minutes. The house had plenty if entertainment with great book and games. I would recommend this house.
We were a large group of 8 friends staying at this house for a week to attend a convention in Baltimore. The house was very nice, very clean and well equipped with everything you need for a longer stay (kitchen equipment, 2 bathrooms, laundry machine, good air conditioning, WiFi, large book collection, etc...). This house is excellent for a party of 4 to 6 people due to the slightly smaller kitchen and the number of beds. If you're with a group of (young) friends and don't mind bunking together and sleeping on the couch, you can fit 8 easily.
The house is easily accessible by car, we always found parking space in the street or in a small parking lot half a block away. It's a walking distance (10-15 min.) from the light rail station that takes you straight to the city. There's also a Giant supermarket closeby (2 blocks, I believe) for grocery shopping.
Communication with the owner went really well. Beth was very kind and helpful, and provided us with easy instructions, recommendations and information about the neighbourhood. I would definitely recommend this house and stay here again if we come back for another convention!
The house is located within 5 minutes walk to a movie theater, large grocery stores, and great independent restaurants and stores. 36th Street in Hampden (2 blocks away from our house) is a model for urban development, with its unique independent restaurants and stores. And more stores and restaurants are being added all the time. This is truly a vibrant community.
We need time to get the house ready for the next travelers, so we ask that people check out by 11am, and arrive after 3pm. Thanks!
