It is very important to us that each of our tenants has a great time during their stay. That being said, it is also very important to us to be respectful and considerate of our neighbors. Groups that are excessively loud and/or destructive will not be tolerated. If you feel this may be in issue for your party, please select a different property.
This house has three different types of rentals:
Weekly rentals run Monday - Sunday
Midweek rentals run Monday - Thursday
Weekend rentals run Friday - Sunday
Lots to like about this rental. Lots of room for our extended family with plenty of bathrooms and areas to sit around and socialize. Downside is an old and poorly equipped kitchen with non functional or awkward items (e.g. can opener, spatula, used pot for a large bowl). Great internet and plenty of towels. Grill and washer dryer helpful, we discovered shower under stairs on the 2nd day, best shower of them all. Wagon was broken which made for some transporting difficulty but we were compensated for it afterward. Solid rental.
Twelve of us stayed the weekend for a bachelorette party. Pro's: 2 min walk to beautiful beach, 2 full BRs/ 1 toilet room, 5 bedrooms (four rooms have two beds in each and one room has 3 beds), basic supplies (e.g., TP, paper towels, garbage bags, towels), AC in each bedroom, barbecue grill, two spacious balconies with ocean view and ample seating, open living room/kitchen/dining areas with ample seating, 2 bicycles, 1 wagon, extra beach chairs/umbrellas-- We had so much fun!
Cons: The house could use more coffee mugs (bring your own coffee for the coffee maker); we saw lots of spiders in the house; the grill was very dirty; some beach chairs were broken; no hot water showers; dirty portable fans and AC vents; it'd be great if they kept a giant cooler on the balcony
Had a great weekend at this house with some friends. Overlooks the beach and is secluded and quiet but close enough to bars and restaurants to access the life of the island. Everything was clean and all kitchen supplies towels and sheets were provided. Perfect for our weekend away! Also close to the ferry and a great deck. I definitely reccomend this house.
A popular summer resort, Fire Island is known for its pristine beaches, tranquil atmosphere, and laid back charm. The island is 31 miles long and 2 - 3 blocks wide and is comprised of 18 distinct communities, each with its own unique character and vibe. Bordered to the north by the Great South Bay and to the south by the Atlantic Ocean, Fire Island’s beaches are world famous. Less than 50 miles from Manhattan to the Bay Shore Ferry terminal, many people come to Fire Island to escape the hustle bustle of New York City in a relaxing setting, without the attitude and pretension of the Hamptons. Cars are not allowed on the island in the summer months and are permitted during the winter only with a Federal permit. Walking and biking are the predominant forms of transportation, contributing to the island’s intimate, relaxed atmosphere. Residents use wagons to transport luggage, groceries, and other items to and from the ferry terminal, market, or beach. Because of this, the radio flyer red wagon has become a familiar Fire Island icon. The island is also known for the abundance of wild deer that roam freely.
