Great place, very helpful owner.
Wonderful place! 30 second walk to subway, and crawling distance from bars and groceries. Friends joining us for Xmas really enjoyed the convenience, and was a great space for a gathering of 15 friends. Lights are a bit tricky, so check with staff when they show you in. Owner was very responsive and addressed a minor plumbing issue quickly. Would be nice to have access to one English TV channel, but otherwise Ok. Internet was speedy and reliable. Highly recommend!
Great location in the heart of Munich
We stayed for a week in November. Loved the central location. The apartment is well equipped and steps away from Viktualienmarkt and the city center as well as a subway station which will connect you to the rest of town.
The beds were a bit soft for our taste and the very modern light switches are tricky to work. The place is open concept so there is little privacy which did not cause a problem for us but heads up for larger groups.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience of Munich city living.
Pretty nice place!
This is a nice place in a great neighborhood. Very close to a u-bahn line and close to the Gärtnerplatz circle and Isartor city gate. Two markets are close at the Gärtnerplatz circle as well as an ATM and bakeries are everywhere. Marienplatz is a 10ish minute walk. Yes the lights are different but not too difficult to figure out. Maybe the best shower I’ve ever seen in my life. It’s a nice place.
No response from Owner and Loud Bar on Weekends
The location cannot be beat - the apartment was spacious and clean, great fit for 3 couples. However, we had a terrible experience (actually, no experience) with our host.
Stef was in communication with us leading up to our stay, even 2 days before confirmed time of arrival to our home - but he never showed up. He did not answer phone calls, emails, text through WhatsApp and VRBO. We had just landed in Munich with tons of luggage and were forced to sit in a random vestibule for over an hour. At some point a neighbor helped us contact another neighbor and a random woman (who knew the rental) let us in. She was extremely friendly and we were so thankful, however, she spoke no English. We got the impression it wasn't her apartment, and after 30 mins of Google translate, she helped us settle in. Although she was very welcoming, it was unsettling to know that multiple people had access to the apartment that we had no communication with or relation to the rental process. During our 6 day stay we were not contacted ONCE by Stef. If we had an issue, emergency, problem - we had 0 form of communication with our host.
Furthermore, not sure if this is characteristic for the local bar but it was EXTREMELY loud during the weekends. It sounded like they had an outdoor area that was utilized until 3 am on Fridays and Saturdays. Both of those nights were sleepless because of the parties. Just aware for those with young families.
Overall - great location but not great experience with host. It worked out in the end, but could have easily turned into a nightmare if it wasnt for a kind neighbor.
Perfect location, plenty of space!
What a wonderful location! Close to Marienplatz and Viktualienmarkt, but also close to cool local neighborhood Gartnerplatz and the river when we needed a break from the (other) tourists. Walk out the front door, and there's so much to see and experience. Cafes, bars, and bakeries on the same block. The apartment was bright and open, and comfortably slept my family of five.
Sunny apartment with great spaces!
Well located property, next to the subway station and the Dutchese Museum.
The apartment has good spaces and is very sunny. The kitchen is very nice and well equipped.
The owner is not easy to contact, he wouldn’t answer my mails and his phone number was incorrect. I got the correct number from a VRBO agent one day before checking in.
Cleaning should be improved. This is a very important fact that we had never experienced before in other rentals.
The apartment is located in the heart of downtown about 4 minutes away from the German Museum. For the Isar Gate Square, offers its historic city walls, a gate to the former Old Town is within walking distance as fast as the Sendlinger-Tor-Platz, with its historic city gate to the south and the same shopping street. The Gardener Place with his eponymous theater space is 3 minutes from the town house away within walking distance to get on the Reichenbachroad with many trendy boutiques and cafes and after 200m to the world-famous Viktualienmarket. From then on, they are practically in the center at Marienplatz, the Town Hall or the Maximilian Street for shopping, at the Opera Square, Odeon Square to marvel, courtyard garden of the Residence. The newly-naturalized Isar with its many recreational opportunities where Munich can relax and unwind, can be reached at 200 m by foot, from where they come in a short time walk to the zoo
