|Minimum Stay||7 - 14 nights|
With own pool, the villa is only few minutes walk from the beach, the marina, numerous shops, bars, restaurants and a fishermen's church, enjoying unbeatable scenery, sea views, aromatic air and a rare convenience. It is situated in the most exclusive part of Javea where very few similar properties are for letting. The two kitchens, make it possible for two families to stay independent. Spacious open plan design caters for a party of 10 without feeling overcrowded. The centre of everyday activity is the enormous, sunny balcony facing the sea with enchanting views on the Bay of Javea and distant hills. The roof of the balcony offers you areas of sun or shade. This is where our guests have meals flavoured with wine or pass social hours. The other most popular area is the 8m x 4m swimming pool which has plenty of terrace space with several sun loungers, external shower and a barbecue. You can enjoy the sunshine, play ball or card games or sit in the shade of an orange tree so blissful on a hot day. If you are at the right time you can even taste the oranges and lemons from our trees. The surrounding exotic plants add to your enjoyment and keep you close to nature. Daily use of car is not essential unless you plan to visit places of interest which abound within easy reach.
The villa is located in the favourite part of Javea where the demand for properties greatly exceeds the supply. In contrast with many areas the life here continuous throughout the year.
Leisure activities: Javea with its long, natural coastline invites you for pleasure walks. Many local restaurants, bars and discos help to fill the leisure hours. There is a choice of beaches for those seeking relaxation, windsurfing or sailing for the lovers of the water sports with school for the beginners, mountain walks for those more daring; 10 pin bowling, table tennis or golf, all according to interest. If you choose, about 30 min by car can take you to places like Safari park, Terra Mitica, Aqualandia water adventure, Cueva (cave) de Calaveras, Fuentes (springs) del Algar, historical beauty spot of Guadalest etc...
History and culture: From the ancient times the Greeks, Phoenicians, Romans and Moors settled in Javea. Early last century an ancient treasure was discovered at the base of mount Montgo whose peak dominates north westernly view. There is a museum and an ancient defensive tower now converted into a church. Above the town, on top of the hill the turrets of ancient windmills watch over and wait... Not far are the ruins of an ancient hermitage.
The local population preserves Spanish culture with folklore bursting into view during fiestas, processions or bull chasing held at any pretext during the year. The local brass band invariably takes part in celebrations filling the air with majestic music fitting the occasion and enhancing the spirit.
Climate and local conditions: The climate is warm and notably moderate; fresh cooling breeze brings a welcome relief during the summer months whilst the local hills provide good shelter in the winter. The crisp clear air, often saturated with jasmine and pine scent makes you enjoy the day. Local produce and fruit is abundant around. The wine is available from the barrel if preferred, local honey can be bought in bulk. Fresh fish caught by local fishermen is sold in the port in the evening. The street market is open every Thursday serving products ranging from the leatherware, clothing, handicrafts to food and fruit. Javea is the sort of town which the more you know it the more you like it.
The villa was exactly as described and within a short walk of the marina, shops, restaurants and bars. It suited us perfectly - a group of 8 friends who needed some rest & relaxation. We particularly liked the different outdoor seating areas which gave us the option to find a quiet spot. The pool was very clean with a decent sized sunbathing area. The villa was also very clean & well maintained. It was well equipped, clean & spacious. There are large floor fans in every room
Edward responded quickly to all queries & made the booking process very simple.
It was a four to five minute walk down to the marina and the town with it's supermarkets and excellent restaurants. We decided not to hire cars so had to walk to see the sights. The old town is about 30 minutes away (a long walk for me as I don't do exercise however it was eased by the odd pit stop for a glass of wine & some tapas!) There is a large market there every Thursday. We took the little tourist train to Arenal, the sandy beach. There are lots of shops & restaurants in this area but we preferred the quieter end of the bay where the villa is situated . We also walked down to the marina & booked a boat trip to Denia. It was a very relaxing holiday and I would not hesitate to recommend this villa as a superb base to visit the local area or simply to relax & recharge your batteries.
We shared this villa with our friends, a party of four adults and five teenagers, and had a wonderful holiday. The description of the property was as described in the listing. We found it clean, tidy and well maintained. The owners were quick to respond to any queries we had, which were few. The layout provided plenty of space for all of us with all the required amenities and a lovely pool. We particular enjoyed the balconied terrace for eating communal meals in the shade with views across the resort.
The harbour area of Javea, with a pebble beach, was a short walk down the hill. Here we found a variety of shops and a good selection of quality restaurants with views across the bay. Further afield along the bay there is a sandy beach serviced by more restaurant and shops. In land was the old town with its picturesque narrow streets. Climbing up the hill from the port is the national park offering a number of opportunities for those who enjoy walking.
All in all we had a great holiday. I would recommend Javea as a destination and the villa as great place to stay for a large party such as ours.
We had the most wonderfull stay at the house. The house is spacious, clean and well cared for. The pool is great. It is very sunny in the morning and midday and shady in the late afternoon. A pool man came and tended to it every other day. You can bbq next to the pool in the evening.
The terrace has the most beautiful view of Javea and the bay.
You can easily walk down to the beach or the restaurants so you hardly use the car. The town has everything you need: beach, Aquafun, budget and high end restaurants, supermarkets, fashion and beauty stores.
Edward was really quick at answering all my enquirers and accommodated us with good directions and a welcome package.
We highly recommend it and we hope to return soon.
myself and 4 girlfriends stayed in this wonderful villa in june of this year. I had very prompt communication at all times with Lina and Edward and despite a couple of teething problems that were beyond the owners control we had a fabulous week and will certainly return for further breaks I highly recommend the villa olga gilchrist
We had the most fabulous holiday here last summer. Everything is just as described by the lovely owners. The villa is spacious, well equipped and accommodates10 very easily. Our family party consisted of 7adults and 3 teenagers. Fantastic bars, restaurants, shops, beach and port, all just a few minutes walk down the hill. Beautiful views across to the sea. We enjoyed our stay at this villa so much we returned in the October for a week and we loved it just as much. I don't really want to leave this review because I want to keep this perfect paradise to myself!
We had such a wonderful time at the villa that we hope to go back there again.
We were a party of 7 adults and 3 small children and there was lots of space for everyone. The villa was well equipped and nicely decorated. There is a fantastic terrace with wonderful views of the bay were we dined on our barbequed seafood and steaks.
The villa is just a 5 minute walk from the beach, café bars and restaurants. Our children loved to play on the pebble beach and it was only a short bus ride away to the sandy beach at the other end of the bay.
The owners were very friendly and helpful, and sent us lots of useful information. I would not hesitate in recommending this holiday to anyone. Definitely give this villa and location a go!
The villa is located at the Puerto end of the bay on the slope, where international studies of the renowned local climate were conducted. Being within walking distance of the sea and the amenities saves you the discomfort of getting into a sun scorched car and searching for parking space. If any fiesta is in progress you can just walk and see the celebrations, with ease. If you follow our road uphill you will reach La Plana (plane) an area of nature and astounding peace. Once there, you may see the lighthouse and next to it the ruins of an ancient hermitage. From there you will see the town of Denia and on a clear day you may even see the island of Ibiza (Evissa). If you dare, you may stand on the edge of a 180m high almost vertical cliff. Half a mile away you can visit the ruins of ancient windmills. You can also take a boat trip to neighbouring towns of Denia, Calpe and beyond from departure pier just few minutes walk away.
The convenient transport from the airport is by taxi or by a hired car. There is a day bus to Alicante from the old town. A taxi stand is only 4 minutes walk away from the villa.
Other Activities: sailing, snorkeling, trampolining
Golf: The nearest golf is Golf Club de Javea which about 2 km away. It is 9 holes but is much harder than it appears.
There is an 18 hole club called La Sella Golf Club and you can find it in the direction of Denia. You may wish to try a rather new club about 40 km away at Oliva.
